  *.~*¨¯¨*•~.Renivere Heartily.~•*¨¯¨*~.* The poor girl looked really embarrassed. Renivere wanted to come up with some kind of encouragement for her. But Renivere had no idea what to tell her. So Renivere tried to attempt to start up a small talk conversation. She already pre-planned this sentence awhile ago so she was able to speak normally. "I'm excited for class."
It was that kid from Archaic Science! And he understood Renivere's crappy English from back then... or was she being confused? Maybe it was a lucky guess? No, no. She was sure that he was the one who figured out that she spoke poetry. Renivere grinned at him.
"Hello there again! To buzz around like bees together we were never given the signal of the hand, neither have we exchanged the labels upon us! My label is Renivere. You are?" Renivere remarked. [Translation for the curious: Hello again! We never really got a chance to talk to each other and we never got each other's names! My name is Renivere. You are?] It took Renivere awhile to realize she confused the word label with name.

The gears in Snyder's head quickly whiled in order to spew out the translation to Renivere's odd English formatting. Still, he understood everything, and by that, he meant everything.
"I'm Snyder. It's a pleasure to be reacquainted with you. Although, is there a reason why you exchanged "name" with "label," or is it natural to say that from wherever you're from? I always believed that labels were silly tags that marked clothing, but I've come to learn that not every word carries the same meaning for every individual."
Awkwardly holding out his hand he remembered this gesture from that blue boy, Snyder attempted to smile back with his typical finger tug of his lip. "This is what people do in order to be friendly. Correct?"
And it’s all used for the same thing.
So why does one smell better than the other?

*.~*¨¯¨*•~.Renivere Heartily.~•*¨¯¨*~.* He really did understand! Renivere was so happy that she shook his hand with vigorous happy energy. "Yes! Normalness in the outside world this greeting, but in Elven world, touch is not something that likes to be brought around."
Although he was able to catch Renivere's failure with the use of the word label which embarrassed Renivere a lot. Hopefully this boy might be able to help her learn how to speak better English. She had to pay attention to all the words that he used when speaking back to Renivere's questions.
"The bird was dizzy as she flew and did not realize she flew to the wrong tree." Renivere explained, trying to tell him that she accidentally used the wrong word. Sadly to say, there were a lot of meanings that could go with what she said. This is what she gets for trying to say something without thinking about it right off the bat.

This was unusual. Snyder's hand was being carelessly thrown up and down, but he supposed it was worth it if it was able to pull this much of a reaction from her. Yes, he was officially going with her now. It seemed like all the females sported long hair, so that was that. "Elven? Oh, I see. Where I'm from, associations were rather limited, so no one knew about expressions and gestures you see here. Hence, I don't either."
"It's fine." Snyder brushed aside the slight mistake before an idea came into his head. "Would you like to compromise? Perhaps, I can teach you more about the modern English language, and you can teach me expressions. I'm rather fascinated with your smiles."

*.~*¨¯¨*•~.Renivere Heartily.~•*¨¯¨*~.* Renivere was surprised with Snyder's deal. She felt like she was making him draw the short straw since she didn't know how she was going to help him with just her smiles. But if he liked her smiles, then she should smile more often. Of course, Renivere always tried to smile since there was no point in being a dope about life. It was better to have fun than brood over a sad past.
She tried to tell Snyder that she would try her best, but she wasn't sure how she could teach him expressions. She couldn't explain muscle functions and it would be especially hard with her terrible English.
"My attempt will be as tall as the highest mountain, but it cannot guarantee that it can touch the sky." Renivere told him.
Renivere was also surprised with the substitute teacher. She was so cute and adorable like a child! How was she a teacher. She seemed preoccupied with the cats that seemed to follow her around everywhere as she tried to step over them. Renivere went to the desk and grabbed two books and gave one to Snyder.
Kitchen safety, huh? Well, something like that seemed pretty straightforward, but maybe there might be idiots in this class. Renivere wouldn't want to be cooking in a kitchen with a person who didn't know the basics of kitchen safety.

Snyder blinked at the arrival of their teacher, and that was it. He couldn't produce much thoughts for this child-like appearance because back home, papyrans were known for mismatching their looks. He participated in such actions even now. In reality, Snyder was three months old, but on the outside, he matched the criteria for ages. See? That's why one should never assume.
"Thank you, Renivere. I will certainly do my best as well." He mentioned as he gratefully accepted the book, but he didn't really want to spend this period simply learning the basics. He already learned them all. It was either avoid the sinks or avoid the heat. "Is there no way that we could simply bake treats? I can't consume them, but I'll be happy to give them to everyone else."

 *.~*¨¯¨*•~.Vivian Sinclair.~•*¨¯¨*~.*  Vivian waved her hand carelessly at the boy that had addressed her. "I actually really don't care. This isn't my class and I'm just the potions professor. If you kids tried making potions right off the bat, I'd have cut off your hands since potions are dangerous, but I don't see what the deal is for cooking. As long as you know what you're doing, just knock yourself out. I'm just giving you busy work since your teacher didn't show up."
At the moment, the kittens were running around in the classroom. If the kids chose to cook, she would have to go and get the kittens or they might get hurt. Vivian got up from her desk to go chase down the kittens. Besides, she brought catnip to keep them busy. ____________________________________________________________________________________ *.~*¨¯¨*•~.Renivere Heartily.~•*¨¯¨*~.* Was it really okay for a teacher to just let students loose? Well at least she wasn't creepy like the school doctor. But it made Renivere sad to see a child-like person act like a grown up. But maybe she was older than she seemed? Well, Renivere didn't know, but it'd be best not to ask since the teacher probably was sick and tired of being asked all the time. She turned to Snyder.
"I am no stranger to the art of mixing and matching. Although Elven choices were all I've made, perhaps I can attempt a not Elven choice." Renivere was excited to get to the kitchen. She wanted to try making a human dish for once. Besides, cooking was one of Renivere's few abilities aside flowers.

Cut off his hands? Wouldn't Snyder already have to do that in the first place if he had to deal with potions? They were liquids, so that meant that his hands could get soaked or even stained. It was just a shoo-in for hand chopping. Thank goodness he didn't have the class.
"How about we try a pie? I've already made cookies earlier, so I'd like to try something else. There's also a saying that I've heard on television too. It goes something along the lines of 'You can never go wrong with pie.' Of course, you must teach some Elven recipes to me. I've never heard of any before." Snyder suggested, already on his way to gather the materials.

Renivere wondered if her tiny teacher would let her hug her since she seemed so cute playing with her little cats. The only unchild-like part of her was the way she spoke and her empty look on her face...
The girl beside Renivere finally woke up at the mention of pie. Renivere grinned at her. She wanted to invite the girl to come cook with them. "Together we can volcano dough!" Well... that was not quite right. But Renivere already said it. It made better sense in her head until it comes out in words.
Renivere turned to Snyder. "Pie of what type? Cinnamon? Herb? Meat?" she asked.
"Elvens put in their stomachs mostly naturals. Only translation of dish I think of is... Tree Branch Layer Cake."

Tree Branch Layer Cake? Snyder wanted to try making that someday. Instead of tree branches, maybe they could use paper? They were all essential the same thing right? Then he'd finally be able to eat his own creation.
"I was thinking of different varieties of fruits, but that can be up to you. Or maybe even you too." He looked back at the other drowsy blonde. "This is group effort, so everyone should contribute."

*.~*¨¯¨*•~.Renivere Heartily.~•*¨¯¨*~.* Renivere jumped out of her seat, excited to start cooking. She knew nothing about the properties of human cooking, but it can' be that different from Elven cooking? Elven cooking was very complex since it required magic to do it, but Renivere managed to cook without the magic. It just took her a longer time. One had to make sure that all the bugs were out of the substances or it would taste gross.
"Fruit pie!" Renivere declared, not in the mood to come up with some kind of complex sentence so she just cried out a fragment sentence. She went to go into a kitchen to get ready to start cooking. She was all riled up for this!
