Hard to make ? Did that mean that she had been created by a way other than breeding ? Really. Enekpe was an odd little creature in more ways than one.
"Who's Anna ? Is she your friend ?" He asked, content to let the little pooka drive the conversation, so to speak.

"She was my person," Enekpe answered after a quiet moment, the perk of her ragged ears falling considerably. Her wilted expression and the distinct was in her answer would likely make it rather clear that Anna was no longer, although the hurt wasn't so great as it had once been. She had k**e now, and lots of friends!

...Oh. The pooka's demeanor spoke volumes, and the dragon leaned forward to rub her cheek, in a way that was quite fatherly-seeming. "I am sorry, little one." Hopefully those who could take care of her soul had been reborn, but there was nothing he could do about that. Life was where he threaded, and not Death.
Still, he could not say such without being sure. "I am sure she was an amazing person."

Pleasantly surprised by the gentle physical contact, Enekpe nuzzled the dragon-god. It helped, sort of like being hugged.
"She was. I still miss her sometimes, but it's okay. I think she'd be happy that I'm helping." Proud, even? The pooka sincerely hoped so.

"I am sure she'd be amazingly proud of you." Of course, he didn't truly know - but he was trying to comfort art. Some mortals didn't understand the need, didn't understand the sacrifice.
He understood it, in a way only one who was both host and god at once could.

Enekpe nodded, and now that the brief conversation had reached a bit of a pause - and now that she needed some cheering up! - she was ready to get back to Xun Jiang's original request. "Anyway, you said you wanted to dance?"

"Of course, my lady." He offered a bow of the head, gentlemanly. Well, as gentlemanly as a dragon could look like, anyway. It was obvious that Enekpe needed the distraction and he felt a little guilty for causing it in the first place.
He was more than willing to humor her at this point, really. "Through I am not renowed for my grace and elegance." That was more Tian Yue's thing.

"It's okay, I won't tell anyone," she promised with a giggle, like the dragon had shared a secret with her. "As long as you don't step on me."
"It helps if you close your eyes. We don't have any music, but that's okay. Just think of something you like, and hear it in your head." This method probably went some of the way towards explaining why Enekpe's dancing was so bad, but only a little. "And then...just move!"
As the pooka said it, she did it, albeit more slowly than she had with her floox, who also started 'dancing' again.

"I will try." Well, stepping on an host certainly wasn't something he would want to do in the first place, anyway.
A little counterproductive, really.
At first he simply watched both pooka and floox, amused, but then finally joined in. A movement of the tail, a bob of the head...
A part of him hoped none of his brothers would pass by at that moment.

Fortunately for Xun Jiang, there didn't seem to be any brothers waiting in the wings to laugh at his attempt at dancing. There was only Enekpe, who didn't laugh at all - she thought he was doing really well! It was inordinately pleasing that she was teaching someone important how to dance. "That's it," she encouraged, "You've got it!"

Really, that was more of the pooka's benefit than his own - he knew how to dance, through... well, perhaps not truly in dragon shape. But the important thing what then Enekpe was having fun, really.
His dignity could bear the hit for a little while. She was a host, and was doing a great service to... no, not one of his own, but close. She deserved fun and laughs, for what was left of her day.
"Like this ?" He twirled his tail again.

"Yeah, like that!" Watching the dragon, Enekpe tried to time her dancing to his with...well, less than remarkable results, but given that they didn't have any music, it was at least a worthy effort. Eventually, she ended up stumbling over herself and flopping over. Oops!

When Enekpe tripped, the dragon stopped, leaning to inspect her, making sure she was okay. He couldn't help it, really ! When fussing revealed that all was well, he gently nudged her back upright with the tip of his muzzle.
It was pretty damn adorable, really.

En giggled when she was righted, and butted her little head against his nose in gratitude. "Thanks! Maybe that's enough dancing for now...I'm kind of tired."

Indeed, the poor dear looked rather tired. "I could bring you back to your rooms..." Surely she had a place for herself, being an host ? "Or you could rest here, if you'd like. I might not be the Worldshield, but I can certainly watch over a tiny young lady as she rests, hm ?"
Sure, there were plenty of things he should have been doing... But this was important, too, in it's own way.
And he could use the time to think.
