Tex grinned, nodding and bouncing Yvette. The little blond squealed gleefully as the group headed over to the goal. "Jani's right - only the goalie gets to hold the ball with his hands. It's the goalie's job to protect the goal and stop the other team from kicking the ball in."
Handing his little sister to Raven - who laughed and settled down to one side so the two girls could watch - he snagged one of the balls and bounced it on his knees, then his head. "You can use knees and heads for sure - I don't know if you can use elbows to hit the ball or not." He glanced at Jani. "Can ya?"

Casper and Cyrus looked at each other, then dropped the balls at the same time. "O-kay!" they chimed.
Casper looked at the goal, "So... Why people want ball in goal? Does it get turned into something?" The twins had never played a sport before, let alone anything that involved some sort of 'goal'. They usually spend their time tripping people or confounding them.
Klaus led the way up the stairs and into the library, "How have I been...? Well, bored, for the most part. I have read those things in the library that were interesting enough to catch my taste, and my brother has been cooped up in our aunt's laboratory taking a look at the machines she works on." At the moment he was trying to acertain why exactly every machine Aylee worked on blew to pieces shortly thereafter.
"And you?"

Jani nodded slowly, thinking about it before answering.
"Yah, y'kin. S'lon' as et's 'bove th' forearm, s'cool."
Contemplating Casper's question, she grinned, trying to think of a way to make them determined to win.
"If'n yah git th' mos' 'alls in th' 'oal, y'kin 'ave a prize."
Ellic raised a thin eyebrow before answering carefully, taking a few moments to look over the library in silence.
"That sounds... Wholly unentertaining. I speant the time with others, I suppose. A young woman named Iasc taught me to 'surfboard' and another by the name of Rene bought me a firearm. Another girl tried to... Have a sort of sexual relation with me, and a boy tried to harm me over it. Rather unsatisfactory, I should say."

Tex flicked a look at Raven, who rolled her eyes and nodded with a grin. Yes, she had enough magic to summon a prize for the twins if they needed one. Reassured, the redheaded demon nodded. "Now, ya gotta remember who's on your team, 'cause they're gonna help you get the ball in. Let's see - wanna practice shooting first?" He trotted in front of the goal. "Try kicking it past me."

The twins looked at each other, and it was decided in an instant that Casper would be the first to try. He walked closer to one of the balls and kicked it in the general direction of the goal. Unforunately... It didn't get more than halfway there. "...Ah?" Casper blinked at the ball in curiosity, wondering what to do next.
Klaus tossed himself into a chair near a window, "Yes, well. My life has never been interesting, although I hear my aunt is considering sending my to a boarding school." He paused and listened to Ellic's tale of woe, "Other than Miss Rene purchasing a fire arm for you, and perhaps the whole surfing thing, your experiences don't sound much better than mine."

Jani laughed happily and moved forward, kicking the ball lazily, but still sending it rocketing into the net. She was a rather physical child.
"Yah haftah kick et 'arder'n 'at!"
Ellic sat down much more gracefully across from his friend and frowned slightly.
"Perhaps you would enjoy such a thing? And no, they have not been much better, although I can say I do not loathe what my life has become."

Tex dived for Jani's shot, but missed completely, landing on the grass with a burst of laughter. "NICE!" He seemed rather impressed, scrambling to his feet and setting a hand on Casper's head. "She's right, though - you gotta kick as hard as you can. That's the only way it'll go in."

Casper watched the ball hit the net in awe. He wasn't sure he'd ever be able to do something like that! Unlike Cyrus, he wasn't very good at physical activities. In fact, Cyrus seemed to have gotten the better deal overall. Casper was weak and not nearly as intelligent as his brother, and he cried easily. How was he ever to live up to his twin?
None of this even filtered through Cyrus's mind as he approached one of the balls. He'd watched Jani closely, and thought that imitating her wouldn't be TOO difficult. Stepping back a pace, he then ran forward and kicked the ball towards the goal with all his might.
Klaus sighed and stared out the window, "Were there more entertainment in this place, perhaps I would not mind it as much. But to say that I have come to loathe it is foolish. I was not fond of the way my life was even before this." In fact, one could say that it had livened up some from back then, although not enough to please Klaus. He wasn't sure if he'd ever find anything or anyone who could make him stop despising his surroundings.
Finally he sighed and shifted in his chair, "In any case, let us switch to a new topic, since the one we are on is rather tiresome."
