"I'm sure that the hoodie is fine, Christa, if you like it," Penelope reassured her friend almost immediately. "Plus, I'm sure it'll come in handy for layering or when the weather isn't big-coat cold." Tallulah's descriptions of the medical kit didn't surprise her quite as much as Christa's strange hoodie if only because it matched what Penelope already knew. Tallulah had brought medical supplies to the Surrounding, had seemed to know her way around the hospital both when visting Penelope and when stuck there herself.

What did surprise her, however, was why said medical supplies had been given. Her eyes widened at Tallulah's description of her relationship with her father, not because she disapproved but because she was honestly shocked. Chaonis had told her to keep her identity a secret, to be careful about who she revealed her identity to. He had been talking about her civilian identity, of course, but Penelope had applied his warning to both aspects of her life. But Tallulah was an experienced Senshi and wouldn't do anything that might put them (or herself) in danger. Penelope was certain of that. Did that mean, then, that she could have told Harper all along and not waited until a Negaverse agent had forced her hand? That she could now stop lying to her parents about where she was going and what she was doing? Or... was this some special circumstance that couldn't be applied to her as well? The dark-haired teen scooted her mostly empty cup along the table in front of her, her words soft, "I haven't told anyone... about anything. I thought it was all supposed to be a secret. I wish... I wish I could tell my parents, sometimes."
