The young male crouched low to the ground, ready to react to an attack that did not come. What. Did Chimera want him to attack? So be it.
Delving a little deeper into his instincts, and trying to remember details from the few times he had actually gotten to see the warriors train, Lucian sprang to his paws, sprinting one way, only to kick up a rock towards Chimera's face, hoping to distract him while he came in low from a slightly different angle.

The rock caught Chimera on the cheek, temporarily blinding him as he flinched. This fight was quickly turning more desperate and dirty than any of his previous sparring matches. He felt Lucian's fangs graze his flesh and stumbled back, snapping out blindly at him.
"Enough!" He said, a little raggedly. He didn't trust himself not to retaliate with far too much viciousness. He was breathing heavily, and not entirely from exertion.
"You...you have a warrior's instinct," he said, finally. "You need to work on your coordination more than your technique. Start at the river -- there's a log, that crosses nearly the length of it. Practice balancing on that. And jumping, from the bank onto it, without losing your grip."
He tried to steady his over-excited heart, fighting back the small ball of rage that always lived coiled in his heart.

Lucian stopped when the other male said to, panting lightly. He was not used to quite that much exertion all at once. It was something he would have to work on...along with coordination, apparently.
However, he peered curiously at his cousin. The older male seemed more...ragged than normal. Not exactly feral, but not too terribly far from it, either. This, he could not understand. It was only a bit of practice, was it not? Where had it come from?
"Are you well, cousin?"

"I'm fine," Chimera said, swallowing back the sleeping rage, forcing it back to its home for the evening. "You did well. Practice...practice your balance, and building up those muscles. We'll meet again....at the half-moon."
He had to get out of here. Even though they were in an open clearing, it felt far too claustrophobic.

Lucian was less than convinced, but he was hardly going to press the matter. After all, what would be the point? Chimera would not say anything, and Lucian did not really care one way or the other. He was more curious than anything. But, as the other male had just reminded him, he had other things to worry about. Like his coordination. So, he let the older male go, already planning when he could find the time to practice in earnest. By the half-moon, he would be better.
