"Da," Dith grinned, "probably part of some kind of father contract you have to sign, or it's written in one of those 'parenting for dummies' type of books? Eh, anyway, kind of you not to laugh at me... though it's actually hard to laugh at me without me being laughing too. I've never been very good at taking myself very seriously, which seems to have been a pretty good recipe for being generally happy in life. I can't imagine getting embarrassed or angry every time somebody sees me do something stupid." Life was, after all, essentially there to be enjoyed, right?
"You're musical yourself then?" he added to Rosie with a tilt of his head. "Do you play something, or sing?"

When Dith grinned, it was met with one of Rosie's, she absolutely agreed with him, and she found it so refreshing and wonderful that Dith had such a positive mindset.
When he asked about her musical talents she physically perked up, happy.
"Oh I do~ Since I was a little girl, I was in classes for dance, vocals and I can play the piano and the harp, just like what mama used to play." She held a finger up "My uncle even uses some of my harp playing in his DJ mixes"

Used to play.... Hum. The pieces of that an her living her with uncle didn't fit together too prettily, but he set the matter aside for now and offered Rosie a smile. "Multi-talented eh? You'll have to play for me sometime. Humm, not sure where we could find a harp out here but I'm sure we can find a place with a piano! Oh, and show me some of the mixes your harp is on, too!" It would be nice to have some kind of talent like that to share with people; being able to bench press large objects just wasn't quite the same somehow. Ah well, it was hardly the end of the world.
"So what is it you want to do your life?" Dith went on after a moment. "Something to do with music, pokemon, something different?"

"I would love to! Next opportunity I promise I'll play you something." she agreed, "Its surprisingly easy to find a Piano in some cafes and restaurants, if you know where to look that is.' she offered with a small wink. "And I have some song on my MP3 player, so I can give them to you back at camp."
When he asked Rosie what she wanted to do with her life, she paused, opened her mouth as if to answer, but paused again, giving it a few more second to consider her answer.
"Ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted to be a performer, sing for people, dance on stage." she answered with a fond smile.
"I didn't ever expect to have pokemon in my life the way I do now. I wanted to be a coordinate after that, maybe to build on that skill to be a performer."
folding her hands behind her back she looked back ahead of her, tilting her head softly. "But after everything that's happened, after everyone I've met, I think its going to be best to keep going down the path we're on now." She giggled after this. "I never in my life expected I would become a pokemon trainer. Who knows where I will go from here."
She looked at him "Are you doing what you've always wanted to do with your life?" she asked.

That sounded like one of your typical childhood dreams, it was always something like performer or poke-medic or astronaut. Not many people got to live them out but it was still sad to see them let go in favor of a more practical route, a loss of some kind of innocence he supposed... although generally people ended up deciding that maybe they would make a good accountant instead of astronaut rather than a Rocket busting trainer instead of a performer.... Humm.
"Not exactly," Dith admitted with a grin and a shrug, "not right now in any case, though I was before." He didn't really want to go into the details of why he'd taken a career break - Rosie didn't need to worry about such things - but he could skirt around easily enough. "I didn't have any major dreams for what I'd do with my life when I was very little that I remember, but when I was... oh, I guess thirteen or so I decided I wanted to be a doctor. I was lucky enough to get into med school when I moved to England, and also managed not to majorly screw anything up.... Well," Dith paused and grinned, "at least nothing to do with academia, I have plenty of hilarious stories about stupid things I did in my free time. Mmmh, anyway though, I got qualified and spent... eheh, suffice to say a long time in the field. I decided to take a break about eight months ago though, I was working really insane hours and starting to burn out rather. This is good though," he gestured around vaguely, "still helping people, so I'm happy to keep going with it for the time being at least."

Rosie knew that being in medical school, being a doctor was a lot of work, she looked surprised to hear that he had, for must of his adult life, been in the medical field.
"Oh wow, that's amazing Dith. So you saved a lot of lives." That was amazing to her.
"I am glad you took a break, I know its probably not very nice, considering the circumstances, but I know we're all really glad your here with us."
She lifted her head. "Helping people seems like its really important, I hope someday that I can do something that can impact someone in a good way, Nothing so amazing as being a doctor, I know." she added with a little giggle. "but maybe someday, what we do here can make a difference. I hope it can."

Dith gave a deep chuckle and shrugged his massive shoulders. "I suppose I have, it's generally not something you have time to stop and thing about; hectic is an understatement. As for not very nice, well, I'm enjoying myself so far. I needed something different but I... mmh...." He waved a hand vaguely as he searched not only for the right phrase, but the right phrase in the right language. "I can't be without a purpose," he went on eventually, "I don't do well without one."
It was nice that he was appreciated though; being around to look after these young people was a purpose and of itself without even thinking about their ultimate goal.... Their ultimate goal, which was what? To topple Team Rocket? Somehow he couldn't see them succeeding in that but if they could even be an annoyance, foil some of their schemes then... well it would be good, that was all.
"I think what we're doing now could be pretty amazing," he said with a smile down to Rosie. "A lot of people are willing to be doctors, but few prepared to face a force such as Team Rocket. I believe we will make a difference, if we stick together." Positive thinking without being delusional, that was the key.

She listened to every word he spoke, and watched the gestures and expressions he made, keeping a content smile on her face.
She didn't interrupt as he spoke, but she did give acknowledging nods to show she was paying attention.
"I think that's the best we could hope for" she admired, "I think, that if nothing else, if we can teach others that they aren't alone, they don't have to be alone, that together we can all stand up for our own and protect each other, then we can take away some of Team Rocket's power to hurt us."
She glanced back down the path.
"I think we can do it." She finished, with a look back to Dith. shifting from a hope, so a more determined mindset.
