"Hit it with Bite once more." He called out quite disappointed that Zue had missed last round.
Once again the other hit itself while trapped in confusion. Swooping around once more the bat's mouth was wide attempting to hit it this time and clamp down on his opponent.

Trist reared when he felt the familiar pain of a bite on his shoulder, hoping to chase away his attacker. His confusion appeared to have cleared up for the most part by that point, and in addition to his wild movements, he directed another Psybeam at the Zubat.

As Zue was sent flying back from their oppoent's attack Zak winched for his friend. "Air Cutter Zue!" he commanded, hoping that the high critical hit attack would land a critical hit.
Being hit with the psybeam had caused him to get off his opponent letting go of his bite. Flipping around the bat recovered only to counter with a fierce wind.

Trist's head was clear now, and he sprinted forward, keeping just ahead of the Zubat's line of fire. As he ran, he kept up his Psybeam, trying to get his opponent while he was still recuperating.

Well that really didn't work out as planned, yet they were still in the game. "Confuse Ray Zue" once more he hoped that they could confuse his opponent.
Once again the bat was hit by the psybeam attack. Once more he flipped around this time aiming a Ray of confusion at his opponent.

Trist veered to the side when he was the familiar Confuse Ray, eager to avoid its effects. The confusion he had went through was enough for one battle.
"Well done, Trist!" Mina called from the side. "Try to get it out of the air with Shock Wave!"
Trist obeyed as soon as the command had left his trainer's lips. Spinning around so that he faced the Zubat, he lowered his head and aimed waves of electricity towards his opponent.

Zakiax mentally slapped himself. Why didn't this come to mind before, if he had thought of it earlier maybe they would be in a better situation. Psychic pokemon were weak against bug attacks. "Zue Leech Life!"
The bat gave a soft screech as it was hit with the electric attack. After recovering itself it dove down towards its opponent attempting ot bit it and suck the energy from the pokemon and make it his own.

Trist shook off the sting of the Zubat's bite, along with the Zubat itself. To add to his attempts to free himself, he discharged another Shock Wave.

As the shockwave hit the bat's wings froze up from the shock. I twas also that attack which had caused the poor little Zubat to faint. If only he had realized the weakness earlier maybe then they would have had a better shot at winning.
"Good Match." he called over to his opponent. "It was close, but in the end you were the victor. See you around." Giving a small wave the boy then left the stadium.

"Thank you for the battle!" Mina called, returning the wave. She was glad Trist could gain the experience, and she gave him a congratulatory hug before leading him to the Pokémon Center.
