Asuma Haruka

Even with almost every single one of his punches landing, Haru could tell from the impacts that even with this successful attack, it would do barely enough damage to Drift to even stagger him. After all, the man's reiatsu was almost at the level of his teacher Aine's, if not on par with her. He knew that he would be lucky to get more than that simple attack on the man. Gritting his teeth as Drift was thrown backwards by the last of his punches, Haru quickly moved back to try and get a little distance from Drift so that he could catch his breath. His arms were starting to tingle, a sign that he was overworking them. After all, without the bandages covering his arms, the soreness and strain from the last few battles were still obviously affecting him. Ignoring the impulse to shake his arms to try and stop the tingling, Haru felt the reiatsu in the room rise, as he looked over to Drift to see the man charging an attack. ******** no shikai, or even bakudo to try and use to protect himself, Haru moved his arms out, sending two small lines of reiatsu to attach to the bottom of the hilts of his blades, pulling them from their places in the wall and pulling them into his hands. Two daggers against two scythes. This battle was obviously not in his favor. Though, if he were able to get in close and land an Oto Ken with his blades-no. That, if it were to hit, could have a fatal possibility, even if the man was far above him. He wouldn't risk it. But, seeing now that Drift had launched his own attack, all thoughts of trying to hit him completely disappeared with the sight of what was coming at him. Only one option.

With the building completely destroyed, and even the area behind him burned and cracked from the energy, Haru panted heavily, crouched slightly with his hands to his sides. They were, to say the least, heavily burned, with both his blades stabbed into the ground; his hands could no longer hold them. His left eye closed, and upper body burned slightly around the chest, neck, and left side of his face, Haru dropped to one knee while looking at Drift. "My...purpose. I guess...I owe you...that much." Trying to talk was becoming difficult at that point; his whole body wracked with pain and his chest could barely expand without sending shocking pains throughout him that made him lose his breath. "To overcome....that ******** up old man. That....is my purpose." That was all he could say before Haru collapsed forward, losing consciousness at that point. He was in no danger of dying, but his burns would have to be looked at to prevent infection and the like. All in all, he found the day to be....worth it.

As the beast was sent out with its vicious wrath, it ravaged the building causing it to turn to ruin, and as it came upon the young boy Haru. It showed no mercy, it stroke at him, but to Drifts surprise Haru had prepared some sort of move to disperse it but not with out cost. Drift gazed upon the boy the boy who struggled to keep his balance as he crouched, he was breathing heavily, and his hands burnt. He spoke to Drift then to answer his question that was asked a little bit earlier and his answer made Drift smirk with a honest smile. He sheathed his sword, walked over to him slowly, and looked upon him.

" Well... Thats a good answer and that old man is probably happy to hear that. But now then... We need to take care of you first. "

As Drift finished speaking the young boy collapsed and lost his conscious. From what Drift could see from Haru's body and spiritual pressure he should not be in any real danger. But those hands of his could become infected if not dealt with soon, and so Drift carefully picked up Haru holding him in his arms. He started to look around the remains of his home and life that was now all but a memory lost in the wind. Most people would feel sad about loosing their home, but to Drift this wasn't the end but a new start if he was lucky.

"Sleep well kid you fought well... Hell wont be long before you overcome me even. That old man will get a good beating by you yet. "

With that Drift walked over the rubble of his once home, walked to the path of the forest, and stopped on the edge. He gazed back for one moment, turned his head back forward and vanished with Haru off to squad 4 to get Haru fixed up.
