▬■Marik simply groaned, his thoughts of the past had surfaced once again, if not for this stupid population control he would still have a family. He had placed all his time in training knowing he would be placed in it once again. Unable to see a bright side he wondered how everyone else could be just fine, joking around and laughing. Marik couldn't help but wonder if they were losing anything by being placed in such a stupid contest, if they were even a bit worried of the outcome. He began to think how they picked the people who would participate, or even if they knew anything about them. Taken from your home and being forced to partake in such an event, where did the government get off doing such a thing. If everyone would place as much focus against the government as they do in surviving The Awakening they could easily take down the government and rule under an anarchist nation where families could live together with no worries of their loved ones being taken away. "How did you end up here?" Marik said as he looked over at the man, he was not trying to make friends rather just trying to pass time.■▬
