She gave a grin- slightly more bold then most of the ones she'd given him so far. "Per-perhaps. A co-co-compan-an-anion wo-would be ni-nice. Th-though, I do-don't know mu-much abou-about bra-bravery. Or stor-stories." She shook her head. She imagined the journey back would be boring. Well, not boring boring- after all, she'd have someone with her. But, certainly not something exciting like he was possibly expecting. At least not due to her. Though, in a sense- her making it here and back would be brave for her.
Cocking her head to the side, Ayita gave a slight nod. "So ya-you are o-okay wi-with not en-ending up at the gr-great oak tr-tree?" She gave a smile- her stutter was slowly, but surely, fading a bit at a time. It was a relief. And a sure sign that she was feeling more and more comfortable in her current companionship. A slight giggle escaped her. "Un-under-wa-wa-water wo-would be ra-rather un-un-fo-fortune-a-ate, don't you th-think? A de-de-desert wou-wouldn't be mu-much be-better, really." The desert would be better than underwater. For, her at least. Neither would work for him- a tree did need water, but he needed air. And too much water could drown a tree, which would be a shame.
As she looked at the other, she gave a slight smile. He felt...safe.

Her grin shook him to his core; it seemed to light up the area under the oak as if the sun shone from her mouth. It was.. startling that a simple smile could do so much to him. "I can teach you about bravery. Though, to be honest, I haven't had many chances to be brave myself," he gave a pathetic chuckle, eyes closed. "Stories, I have a few and we can always make them up as we go."
Yggdrasil thought for a moment. "Very okay. I'll just be happy to find a place to settle down. Somewhere nice where you can raise a family and have a lovely herd. Somewhere you can have a wonderful life." He listened to her speak, nodding in agreement. Was it.. Could it be her stutter was disappearing little by little? To say he was glad was an understatement.
Looking up at the sky, he realised the sun was beginning it's descent to the other side. Eventually the sky would burn with orange light when it reached the horizon. It'd been a while since he'd enjoyed a sunset; even longer since he had such wonderful company. "It'll be dark soon. Will you rest here tonight or move on?" His voice was soft, as he asked the question, a hint of sadness at the thought of them parting ways.

"H-h-how do you t-t-teach one ab-about br-br-bravery? Is it n-not som-something one le-learns on th-th-their own?" her head was tilted to the side. How does one teach bravery? Through example? Or through experience? Any story he had was bound to be interesting, or at least that's what Ayita thought. A tree would certainly garner attention, even when it was unwanted. Her lips turned up, though, as he mentioned making stories as they went. As in, together. "Th-that'd be n-nice."
She gave a slight nod. Where she was, she was familiar. It was she'd never moved, so she'd always been settled. "S-so, y-you'd need a b-big area. If you wa-want a her-herd, and fam-family...you'll ne-need sp-space..." And for space you really did need to be flexible on where you ended up living. His words did make sense to her.
A frown marred her face as she looked to the sky. Seeing the sky darkening, she gave a sigh. Traveling in the dark was not her idea of fun. At all. "I ha-had hoped to get a m-move on so-so-sometime to-today...b-but in the d-dark? Th-that's just a b-b-bad i-idea, I th-think." She gave a light smile, unsure of how to ask if it'd be alright for her to stick with him for the time being.

Yggdrasil laughed. He hadn't expected that question. She was bright, that was certain. How exactly would he teach her to be brave, if he could at all? By being brave himself or putting her in situations where she had no choice but to be brave? No, that last one would not work. It would probably do more bad than good and the last thing he wanted to do was make her afraid to be around him.
"I guess we'll find out together, won't we?" He smiled sweetly.
A big space indeed. But hopefully he'll be able to find one. From what he'd heard, these lands were big and beautiful; he had no doubt in his mind that he'd be able to find somewhere to live.
Yggdrasil watched the frown cross her face and frowned in return. It was odd, in his mind, for a mare and a stallion to spend the night together without.. being together; though he was old fashioned, but he wasn't going to let her sleep out in the open by herself; not when it was his fault she was still here.
"I'll stay here for the night, too, then. If you don't mind."

Ayita glanced up at the larger soquili with a small smile on her face. She gave a hesitant nod- the thought of finding out with him sounded terrifying, and yet fun.
"I gu-guess we wi-will. Any i-idea of wh-where to st-start?" She asked, slightly curious.
Her eyes widened in slight shock. 'If you don't mind.' he had said! Ha! She was the one who had come into his space earlier to begin with! She gave a nod. "It's fi-fine with me if you st-stay here to-tonight. Af-afterall...I did en-encroach upon your sp-space..." The thought of not being the only one in the immediate area, though, was reassuring to the mare.

As the moon began to rise behind them, its fullness providing light, Yggdrasil waited for his eyes to fully adjust. Staring at the sunset left his eyes in day vision and so it took a few moments for him to make everything out again.
He settled down a little, relaxing though he wasn't ready to sleep. "None at all.
Looking around at the surroundings, Yggdrasil noted that there wasn't a lot surrounding them. The other trees in the distance were quite far off and while this meant he could see things approaching, it also meant he wouldn't be able to hear them until they were close.
Turning to Ayita he smiled. "You can sleep now if you like. I'll probably stay up for a little longer."

As he spoke, she tilted her head to the side. The thought o sleeping while someone else was awake right near her was somewhat terrifying to the timid mare. She wasn't quite sure how she felt about that. "A-are you su-sure? I can st-stay up, too...so you're not up by your-yourself."
If all else, she could maybe pretend to be asleep until he was also sleeping? With any luck, he'd want some more company until he dozed off, too. She was starting to trust him; as made obvious by the fading stutter, but at dark in unfamiliar territories? She wasn't sure about that yet.
She sighed softly, eager for the sun to return. What would tomorrow bring? Ayita wasn't sure, but she did know that she was looking forward to the adventure.

Yggdrasil grinned at Ayita. "You can stay up if you want; I won't protest. But don't let yourself get too tired or exhausted." He had to admit, he wasn't ready for the silence or to not hear her talking and laughing with him. He mentally smacked himself for being selfish; but he couldn't help it; he rather enjoyed the mare's company.
And while he wanted - and was prepared - to stay up and make sure she was safe, Yggdrasil also wanted sleep to take over so that tomorrow would arrive that much sooner. Tomorrow their adventures and days together began and the thought of days, nights, weeks, months with Ayita filled him with a warmth and happiness he thought was so long gone he wouldn't feel it again. It was strange; in such a short period of time this mare had stirred things inside him that no one else had and he felt himself wanting more and wanting their moments together to never end.
Perhaps this was what he'd heard stories of; what he'd dreamed of and what he was told he'd eventually find. But it was too early to be sure. Only time would tell if it was true and if she was in the same boat. He was in no rush; at the moment they had plenty of time to figure things out.
"We'll make an early start. I'm a bit slow when it comes to walking. You'll have to forgive me." For once, he was happy that his tree slowed him. They'd take longer to reach their destination because of it; which meant more time together. He smiled a soft, secret smile.

She gave a nod. "I th-think I'll stay up a li-little longer. I don't wa-want you to be lone-lonely." She graced him with a small smile. She was being honest- she didn't want him to be lonely if he stayed up keeping watch while she slept the night away. Didn't seem all that fair, really. They were just getting to know each other, but it didn't sound like the best of ways to begin a friendship, either.
Nodding once more, she smiled at Yggdrasil. "That's fa-fine. Slow wal-walking means se-seeing more...I th-think..." If all else, you'd observe more going on around you. Either way, Ayita didn't mind. Especially since he didn't have to make the journey with her; it was very kind of him to sacrifice his time like that for her- for such a big commitment. "Th-thank you, once mo-more, for co-coming with me." She gave him another smile smile before turning her head to look about.
