"Wow. Maybe it'll be interesting for me. Maybe you should summarize what you read so you could show me how well you can understand written words, huh?" Kamil remarked.

Kamil couldn't help the particularly cute girl greet everyone. He didn't realize she was in the room. He was too busy realizing that Veith was in his class. Kamil grinned and waved at the girl, unable to reply because of the teacher's lecture.

Kamil knew nothing about alchemy, but hopefully he could manage through the class with out reading or he'll only slow the class down. He turned to Veith who had asked what Kamil was. Well, Kamil was certain that Veith was a human mage so it was only fair that Kamil should tell Veith what he was even though it's a little embarrassing. Kamil answered once the teacher finished speaking.

"Well, I guess I can tell you what I am."Kamil said as he leaned closer to Veith with a hushed voice. "It's kind of a long story, but I'm a merman."

"Happy greetings? Is that another way to say hello? Then, happy greetings to you too." Snyder attempted to smile back the now awake girl? by lifting the corners of his mouth up. What a disappointment. Even with all of Suzanne's questionable teachings, he still couldn't manage a natural smile. He definitely needed to master this expression soon, but in the mean time, he should keep an ear open for their teacher's lecture.

Blankly blinking at the words that spewed out from the adult's mouth, Snyder contemplated over it. If there were so many miracles involved with such practices, does that mean that he could learn expressions? Of course, that didn't seem likely. The best place to find that information out was through observation and practice, and that was what he did by simply staring at everyone in the room.

"I studied it quite a bit, but I didn't delve into it that much. Veith said to the teacher after his instruction.

He then turned his attention to Kamil. A merman!? What was a fish doing out of water anyways? It definitely explained why the boy was unusually weak even though he didn't seem very human and his hair was a merman color anyways. But it baffled Veith when he tried to think about what a merman would be doing on the surface. Perhaps it was an idiotic reason due to Kamil's nature.

"I see... well... you don't have to explain your reason for being here to me. I was just curious to know what you are. I suppose I'll read first like what Sethrian is doing. You should try it too." It'd be a relief if Kamil could shut up if even for a little bit...

((I keep forgetting that Veith and Renivere are mine. 8D))

"Sorry, professor! I know nothing about alchemy! Back in the ocean, it'd just cause problems, you know." Kamil replied, snapping to the teacher's attention and leaning back in his chair with a grin. At least this teacher knew what he was doing unlike the janitor and he seemed a little bit more capable. He didn't seem like the type to get stuck in a tree or anything like that hopefully. Most of all, he wasn't wearing pink.

Kamil grinned at the girl that took a seat beside him. "Nice to know we're seeing some new faces. My last class was Battle Strategies and it was mostly full of guys asides from my friend Kasie. I'm Kamil, and you are?"

"Just because I'm pretty......

The blue shade hair colored guy, suddenly talks to her! Is this for real? Ayu turns her head while he introduced himself as Kamil.. “Oh.. Hi Kamil.. I’m Ayu..” she smiled timidly, seeing new faces aside from a new found friend, Kentoy somehow made her uneasy. Well, it doesn’t hurt if she could meet some new friends, right?

“Really? I had my last class from the Potions department.. I guess, most guys enrolled in Battle Strategies. It’s your nature."
*smiles*

Her eyes swoons towards the professor and raises her hand, “Hmm.. Stone of blood perhaps.. That was my brother use to make using his philospopher's stone..” Once more, she remebered her long lost brother..

"You are correct!" Gray said to Synder. "Giving temporary life to things. There are two types of created life in Alchemy--Golems, which are usually created from inorganic compounds, and Homunculus, which are created with organic compounds and designed to be another type of Human. Both of these come in many shapes, sizes, colors--some look like men, others look like walking bundles of sticks. It all depends on the materials used, and the skill of the Alchemist. They are often called 'false men' and it's fairly rare to find an Alchemist capable of creating one that looks Human. We will cover those in a later class. But remember--the alchemy that I teach is a blending of magic and science, always.

"Now, the Philosopher's Stone, as a near legendary item is generally agreed to not actually exist," Gray told Ayu. "There are pseudo-stones that have some of the properties of the original myth but the stone as it exists in the original Alchemy philosophy was nothing more than a fanciful dream. With the inclusion of magic in alchemic science, there's really little need for a true philosopher's stone anyway. Originally, it was believed that the Philosophers’ Stone would require blood to create because each person was thought to be a microcosm of the whole world. Therefore, human blood contained at least a little of everything in nature. Of course, now we know that isn't true."

"Alchemy, at its core, is about taking things of little worth, and turning them into something far more valuable--sometimes into something that seems impossible. Like an elixir that would heal any sickness, and give eternal youth. It's about taking all the dreams that comprise the world, every thought and feeling and desire and turning them into a reality."

"So I ask you--if there was one thing you could make for yourself, whether it exists or not what would it be? What dream would you use alchemy to make come true--if you could?"

((Most of what Gray is going to 'teach' about alchemy is going to be founded in the principles of the actual protoscience (I like to do my research for things like this). I'm going to try not to make up too much random stuff because it'll be hard to keep consistency if everyone in the class is pulling information about alchemy from different sources and media. That way we don't have one person saying things like Human transmutation is possible, and another one saying they transmuted a new baby brother for themselves or something. Just so we're all on the same page. =o

But...I'll have to make up some stuff just to make it an actual viable science since we all know that real alchemy, well, isn't. XD Hehe))

What dream? There’s only one thing she always wanted..

“I always wanted to create a material that would help me find my lost older sibling, I may sound selfish. But, if it’s the only way I could locate him, then I’ll do my best to make that stone, even if I’m the first one to do it.” Ayu quoted; unknowingly that she has spoken out loud what’s in her mind. Truthfully, her desires of tracing Dimitri, desperately lead her to think crazy things.

To be honest, she doesn’t need anything else; just bring back Dimitri unto her side once more. She grips her skirt underneath the table, looks around and examines each and every student in the classroom; Ayu believes that each and every one of them had their own reasons why they chose to enroll as Rosentale. Whatever it is, she doesn’t want to know.

Ayu starts to feel sleepy once more...

((OOC: Please don't be offended if she starts to sleep during classes..it's one of Ayu's unbreakable habits though. Don't worry she'll woke up once recharged.. xD))
