"O-oh... I'm sorry..." Zinnia wasn't sure how to respond to that. It made her think about her own parents. They had always hated pokemon, resulting in her running away from home two years ago. She had made contact with them since then, but she still refused to go back and live with them. Poor Heal never had the chance to live with both parents, though.
Shadow told the younger pokemon. Her deep purple eyes stared down at the spotted luxio unblinkingly.
"Um... What do you want to be when you grow up?" Zinnia asked, wanting to change the subject.

"Whatever..."Heal really didn't felt he had been rob of anything by growing with just his mother. He had two loving grandfathers and a couple of crazy uncles, not having Adriel around really hadn't affect him much but for some teasing from other school mates. "Oh..um...I want to be a pokemon doctor."
The feline gave an odd noise. "(A mew? But you look so much like my friend, menudo....)"

"A pokemon doctor? That sounds like fun! It's nice of you to want to help pokemon like that. I like helping pokemon, too! You see Zyk?" She gestured toward the zubat on her shoulder. "I found him and saved his life. That's why we're friends! And Shadow, you see her? She saved my life, so that's why I'm her best friend." She smiled proudly at this logic.

The luxio tried to think about that. Not natural huh....."(Is that why he tries to mate with that grumpy trainer all the time? And is a pervert...? Are all mewtwos like that?)"
"Well, yeah, not a lot of small towns have nurse joys or pokemon centers, it would be nice to set up in one of those so they don't have to relay so much on potions..." Heal laughs. "Well, its nice of you to have rescue/be rescue by your companions. That's a very interesting mew, she looks well taken care of, as does your zubat. Zyk's furcoat looks very shiny, a very good sign."

"Thanks!" Zinnia said, glad of the compliment to her pokemon. "Your pokemon look healthy too. Um... What were their names again?" How shocking that she hadn't asked to be introduced to his pokemon yet! She hoped that they didn't think her rude, though if she didn't know better, it looked like Shadow was already having a conversation with Tripod. She couldn't be sure, though, because Shadow's end of the conversation was silent, only heard in Tripod's head. And it was unusual for the mew to talk to anyone, let alone strangers.
Shadow made a strange sound audibly; it sounded like a mixture of a cough and a laugh, though she quickly quelled the noise and looked just as serious as she had moments before. She had not expected that bit of information from the youngster, though! she told him grimly.

"Oh...I didn't introduce them...Well this is picasso" He pointed to the slumbering Pachirisu on his shoulder. "That's Tripod talking to the mew, and Arthmael is off looking for some herbs right now, he should be back in a little while."
Tripod blinked at the odd noise the mew made. "(Oh....well he has a weird personality...whatever that is...)"

Zinnia smiled, noting that the pachirisu was asleep. She greeted Tripod instead. "Hiya, Tripod! What are you and Shadow talking about?" She laughed a bit, knowing that she wouldn't be able to understand Tripod even if he did respond. But he was cute, and she still felt bad that he was missing a leg.

Tripod gave Zinnia a curious look before he went on to tell her exactly what were talking about, thought for the most part it sounded like purrrs and soft growls.
Heal chuckles softly. "He is very talktive..."

"Ha ha, you know who he reminds me of? Zyk! Zyk has to make a lot of noises too, because that's how he sees, you know?" she rambled. "Echolocation. It's pretty cool! He sees with his ears. The only problem is that he can't see colors, so he doesn't give very good advice when I'm trying to decide what to wear. And Shadow usually wanders off at night, so I don't see her until later in the day, so she's no help either!" Zinnia shook her head with a wry smile. How unfortunate it was, indeed, that she couldn't get fashion advice from her pokemon!
"... Where is Hartless these days, anyway?" Zinnia asked. She had meant to ask the question earlier, but she had been distracted. She had suddenly remembered it, and so it felt completely natural to her to ask it out of the blue, though it probably seemed like a very sudden change of subject to everyone else.

Tripod made another array of odd noises to Zinnia, thinking her clothes very pretty right now, walking over to her, he rubbed up against her legs, purrring loudly.
"Why not have Zyk evolve then? He could give great advise then" Heal shook his head, this girl was really odd, but oh well. "Oh...um...he said he was heading towards the mountains, he needed to collect some flowers that only bloom this time of year, they are the main ingredient on this numbing tonic he makes"

"Oh, the mountains?" Zinnia decided that she would have to wait for the man to come back before she could confront him again. "Well... Zyk and I have been through a lot of battles, and he's never evolved. I'm not sure why. I think he got exposed to everstones somehow, and now he just can't do it. That's okay, though; I love him just the way he is."
Zyk squeaked happily and put his fluffy cheek to Zinnia's. Zinnia reached up and pet him again, and he seemed to truly relax for the first time since they had approached Heal.
Zinnia looked down at Tripod with a smile. "I think he likes me," she commented, before carefully bending down and extending a hand for the luxio to sniff.

Heal looked at Zyk over. "Or maybe he believe that he doesn't need to evolve to be the best pokemon for you....I have seen several cases of that happening....Thought your theory is still valid, it could be that he was exposed to a very large quantity of everstones before he was caught, since zubats are cave dwellers, its entirely possible..." The teenager chuckled. "Yeah, I am trying to get Tripod to be more social and understand that humans aren't all scary..."
Tripod sniffed the hand and licked the tips of her fingers curiously. "Rrrrrr" He purrred softly.

"Heh heh, you're doing a good job," Zinnia said to Tripod, carefully moving her hand so that she could scratch him behind the ears.
Zyk shuffled nervously on Zinnia's shoulder. He was a bit worried that the luxio might attack Zinnia while her face was closer. Not to mention that he feared for his own health, too; he knew that cat pokemon liked to go after flying types. But he bravely stood his ground, trusting that the other human, Heal, had properly trained his pokemon.

Tripod purrred as he leaned against the scratching hand, his dark eyes looked over her and the zubat, he didn't seemed dangerous. His feline instincts weren't activated right because of the lack of movement of the perched one. If he didn't move, he didn't want to hunt it down. He turned hsi eyes towards the sleeping pachirisu, damn, that's thing still sleeping.....Oh well, he had scratching behind his ears, that was enough.

Zinnia kept petting the cat, enjoying his soft fur. It felt similar to Zyk's. She had no idea how Shadow's fur felt... The mew didn't like people touching her, and Zinnia knew better than to risk offending her by trying to pet her.
"So what were you up to, all the way out here? Do you normally come out here to eat lunch?" She laughed at that.
