((You should let Kodate post. I'd appreciate it if you didn't make two posts between each time I post too. I do of course have to sleep at the times most of you would like to be posting and if you make two or more posts it allows you to do an awful lot without allowing me to make the hollow you are facing do anything at all.
I'm going to request therefore that you keep it one post to every one of my posts simply so I can control the movement of the hollow.
if Kodate doesn't post by like 00:00 GMT though I should have a post up for you all around then. Explaining what would happen according to your actions and moving the hollow about.))

((Holy bejeezus. gonk I leave to do college stuff for ONE DAY and I come back to a miniature NOVEL. Magical mammary glands...I haven't had to read that much since I took a penchant to read Dante's Inferno in a week.))
When Kodate had stood there, he heard a voice speak behind him. It was a girl, one he had heard before. He thought for a second where he remembered that voice as he chomped down on the last bit of his snack, and as he finished it he turned, and found that his opportunity to speak had been stolen by the arrival of others, whose talk had derailed the girl's attention away from Kodate and onto themselves. It wasn't surprising, really. He found himself in this situation all the time. He was never one for making conversation; not that it made him awkward, he was just never very good at it. So in that sense it was something of a relief that he didn't have to reply. But he didn't exactly loathe the thought. He often found chatting with females was pleasant. A lot less detracting and meaningless as talking with other men his age. Or at least apparent age. More civility, less bragging.
He listened to their conversation with a distant ear, keeping an interest only as far as relevant information goes. He turned his attention back to the pond and the surrounding area. He watched it carefully, listened with rapt attention, and felt for any trace of reiatsu. He cared not if his teammates were going to chat, he only cared that there was a hollow somewhere here and he did not want it sneaking up on them. Even if he was the closest one to it, if he was able to alert the rest of the group, and perhaps take a hit or two, that was good enough for him. Kodate always thought about the group first, and himself second. It was second nature. He took the shield from his back, and slid his hand into the perfectly formed hole inside. Gripping a bar somewhere inside it, he held it firmly as he continued to watch the area. There was no reason to not have your zanpaku-to out when going to a place already known to contain hollow. He hadn't before simply because he didn't feel that strange sensation in the air.
It was almost a sudden shock to his senses when he felt it, and it caused him to put the shield onto his arm. Something was there. He heard his comrades switch tones and suddenly become more alert as they all seemed to have felt it as well. He watched the place in front of him, but focused on the pond. He saw the ripples and the bubbles appear, followed by the two snake-like hollow. He posed to himself that perhaps that was all, but those thoughts were quickly dashed as the large beast reared into view. He tensed, then, and crouched low as he prepared for what was to come.
Then the yelling began. The panic of the unsure. Trying to develop plans yet untested, at the expense of others. But he saw no flaw with the logic. He was practically born to distract and lead, with his large stature and equally large shield. Despite the pounding of his heart, having never actually heard a hollow before this was quite a shock, he jumped into the air and used the ambient reishi to create a platform under his feet. It was a simple technique, fortunately, otherwise getting 'above' the hollow would be a challenge.
Kodate stood there, defiant in front of the hollow's body, begging it's attention towards him. However, that hadn't been enough as the monster proceeded to lash about and stomp and moan as his fellow compatriots gave it their all to wound this thing. He curled his lip into a snarl, and drew the actual blade of his zanpaku-to from behind the shield, and began banging it against the surface of the shield. "Over here, hollow!" Kodate cried out, continuing to bang the shield as he tried to make as much noise as possible. Even if he couldn't draw the hollow to reach up for him, at least he could confuse the hell out of it momentarily.
"Come and get some!" Kodate stood sideways behind his shield, offering him as much protection as possible given his rather large stature. It wasn't a lot, but it would suffice for the time being.

[[You've pulled off some autohits which admittedly is my fault for not making it clear enough I was going to take control of the hollow however I hope you'll forgive me for pulling off a few of my own to keep the situation tense.]]

[Good progress so far. Light damage has been done to the hollow. Kay and Sakura have found one of the weaker places on the hollow but they have not found the true weak spot.
However during this phase of combat you've made some discoveries.
A: The underbelly itself is not entirely unprotected. This is merely a ruse in an attempt to trap unsuspecting enemies underneath it.
B: Something is sealing communication with Zanpakto. As a result both Shikai and Bankai are unusable.
C: Although it does not look agile the hollow is capable of propelling itself through the air by jumping.
In particular danger are Kay and Sakura as, through no fault of their own, they have placed themselves in the spot where danger is most prevalent.
Kodate is also in a highly dangerous situation and unless he moves quickly he is prone to take heavy damage.
Haru is in the lower danger as he need only move out the way of the claw however a hit is nearly certain death. However he may take damage if he doesn't remove himself from on top of the hollow as the jump will send him flying.
Angel is in absolutely no danger save from being crushed by the hollow as it leaps into the air. He has also likely worked out now that his Shikai isn't working and should communicate this information to his allies.]
A few small mistakes had been made in the tackling of this hollow and how could the Shinigami recruits have known. Their assessment that this hollow was made up of three separate hollows was correct indeed. However the function of the other two hollows was as the eyes of the larger blind hollow and another more strange function that would become obvious if the second one was cut from the body of the main hollow.
Another mistake they had made was standing underneath the hollow. From where they were originally it would have been impossible to get a good look at the underbelly of the hollow but now with both Sakura and Kay underneath it the actual appearance of the underbelly would become clear. Underneath what must have been a hundred mouths lay each with a further mouth and as the two women attempted to attack eight tongues came from each mouth to bind them all covered in a corrosive acid. It was far too late to do anything about it as they could've never seen the attack coming and as the tongues, each as strong as an arm and as tight as a vice came shooting down. Grabbing Kay and Sakura by the ankles and tripping them up as they made their charge under the belly of the beast the tongues wrapped around and started pulling the girls into one of the mouths. It did not matter how hard they struggled. They could only slow down the inevitable. Someone had to cut them down at risk of being caught themselves or the fight had to be ended quickly.
Meanwhile Haru had made himself a clear target for the mighty claw of the hollow. The claw was far too large, heavily armoured and alarmingly fast to try and tackle head on. If Haru wanted to try blocking it his arm would snap like a twig. To make matters worse dodging it would not negatively effect the hollow as it opened it's claw. It wasn't smart but it knew that smashing it's own head with it's claw was not a good idea. Haru had to make a move quickly or else face being turned into paste. However his attacks on the head had been worth their while. Although the effect they gave this hollow could not be eliminated unless they were both destroyed it nonetheless gave them a greater chance of success.
Angel however would find as he attempted to use his Shikai that it instantly became returned to it's sealed form after drawing the scythe. As he attempted to cut the arms off the scythe simply vanished. It should have hit all the shinigami then or at least the ones that could talk to their zanpakto. The things had gone completely silent. Angel had, presumably through sheer skill, managed to force his zanpakto into shikai temporarily but a sword with no voice was just like any other. In a fight like this it was entirely useless. Furthermore his bakudo although strong had been ineffective. It had slowed down the speed at which the two girls were dragged into the beast's mouths but it had failed to keep the hollow held down.
Finally, the hollow focused it's attention on Kodate. He was correct in his assumption that the hollow could not get him with his claw up this high. In fact it was a perfectly natural thing to do against an enemy that seemed to be derived from a sea creature. However he had not factored in that the hollow may jump after him. It crouched it's legs bringing it's body closer to the floor and nearly crushing Sakura and Kay if they were not cut loose by this point and then with a burst of speed that was almost surreal when looking at the hollow blasted itself into the sky creating eight craters where its legs were and flung itself at Kodate. The hollow roared once more as it flung it's body at Kodate going for a full force body slam on the man who though strong and muscular looking was like an ant before this beast. However just crushing Kodate was not the only problem. If the hollow managed to fling itself past him it was sure to end very close to Rukongai.
The Shinigami had to move fast. They had to cut off the tongues, cut off the second head and stop the main hollow before it ate their teammates or started causing damage to innocent people in the Rukongai.

The man's eyes widened as the beast crouched and then promptly launched itself towards him. He was expecting a large number of variables of attack, but this was not one of them. A thought popped into his head like lightning and his body reacted almost instantly to the idea. The large man let go of his control of the reishi underneath his feet and began to plummet towards the ground. He realized that hitting the ground from that height would hurt a little, but being slammed by a hollow at that speed would be truly unfortunate. A little pain in the legs would be the least of his worries. As he fell, he watched the hollow as it just soared towards him at unrelenting speeds. He realized halfway down that he was going to run into the thing's leg. He grunted and pulled his shield arm up to intercept, but all that did was crash the metal against his body as well.
The impact smacked his arm and his shield against his body, and sent him spinning at high speeds towards the ground. When he hit, he landed against his right shoulder and then promptly begin to smack the rest of his body against the ground in a painful tumble until he came to a stop somewhere in the grass. He grunted, and pushed up against the ground to his hands and knees, and felt sore spots all over his body. That would hurt like crazy later, he was sure. But for now the adrenaline of the moment was causing him to ignore it. Kodate staggered up until he gained sure footing, and stood once more. He looked around for a second, and then walked over and picked up the blade that had fallen from his hands at impact. He held it once more in his right hand, and looked over to where the hollow was sure to land.
"Damn." He whispered, and began running towards the hollow. This wasn't a very good idea, but Kodate was sticking to the idea that as long as he distracted it, good things would come from it. If he could distract it long enough to keep it from eating his teammates and allow others to rescue them, that would be his contribution. He stopped a good distance away, far out of reach of that massive claw, and began beating on his shield again. "Hey! You giant piece of seafood! Get some!"

Sakura felt the burn from the corrosive substance around the many tongues and had let out a yelp when she was forcefully brought down. The pain had momentarily pushed back her revulsion at being caught by tendrils that had come out of a hollow's mouth of all things. Her Shihakusho had prevented most of the acid from coming into direct contact with her skin, but it would not last too long and those teeth were approaching much too quickly to her liking. With much wriggling that only worsened the pain at her ankles, Sakura freed her arms at the expense of her sleeves and a layer of skin as she was getting dragged onto the ground and slammed her sword into the muddy soil beneath her. All the water that had dripped off the creature had rendered the ground much softer allowing her sword to dig a narrow furrow in an attempt to slow down her progression towards the mouth. Should the hollow decide to bend lower at the time, it would feel something, the pommel of her sword, a splinter to the beast, poking at its belly or mouth, but they would get a mouthful of mud and have the air squished out of them.
There were far too many tongues for her to cut herself free in time if that was even possible and there was also Kay who had landed in this mess because she had followed Sakura. Their companions were quite a distance away and she did not know if they would make it in time even if she was delaying the tongues with her sword. As a last resort, she pointed towards the sources of all those disgusting appendages with an acid burnt finger and fired the first spell that came to mind. "Hado #4, Byakurai!" A white burst of lightning shot out towards the open mouth. The monster may have a solid carapace, but its inwards had to be quite sensitive. She was hoping that the pain caused by the high temperature would prompt it to loosen the tongues around them enough for them to free themselves.

((A posting order isn't necessary as long as everyone remains aware of what's going on to everybody else. For example Kodate may wish to mention that he saw Sakura and Kay as he knocked himself from the sky attached to the underbelly of the hollow and Kay may notice Sakura getting herself free.
As long as you remain aware of each other a posting order isn't necessary. That's the bottom line.))

Ai, a young and spunky Shinigami sped onto the scene. His tan and tall body flexed with every muscle that he had.
"..."
He stood and watched as a Hollow fought some recruits, like himself, and he quickly wanted to jump in and fight. He was about to run in and attack when he took a deep breath and scanned the area with his big cat like eyes.
"The enemy is big and it has many attachments..."
His breathing was now calm and he closed his eyes, letting his long eyelashes come together. A small breeze pushed his ponytail to the front letting some wisps of hair cover his face.
"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo number 9! Geki!!"
He motioned the correct symbols with his hands and shouted out. His revealing Shinigami garb showed that his body was glowing red and once he put his hands together he had hoped that he could subjugate the Hollow into paralysis. His natural affinity for Kido was showing and Ai knew that it was powerful, hopefully powerful enough to lend his teammates a hand.
"Sorry I'm late guys!"
With his other hand and grabbed the hilt of of his Zanpakutou and bit his lip.
"Come on...you can do this...for your friends."
He thought in his head.

Angel let out a low growl as he looked down at his zanpaku-to. Something was wrong. He couldnt activate his shikai. He looked up at the Hollow as it leaped in to the air. He himself jumped to the right to avoid it from it crashing in to him, but while it was in the air he noticed the two girls were being clung to the belly by mouths and tongues. He growled as he watched the Hollow land. He needed to think of what to do or not only could some of the graduates die, but the Hollow could get to the Rukongai. When another shinigami came in to the fight and stopped the Hollow he took this chance to dart at it at full speed. He slid under it to where the girls were as he formed a plan. He held up his fingers, "Stay still!" He yelled as he once again shouted, "Bakudo 9! Horin!" The yellow rope of energy shot out of his finger and raced through the air, but instead of tangling up just one of the tongues it began to round them all up until it closed on itself and had them all tied up. Seeing as how the Hollow was beginning to break out of the other shinigami's bakudo Angel jumped up and cut the group of tongues letting the girls fall. He caught them both and tossed them away from the Hollow. He would then hold up his palms to the belly and smirked, "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hado 33! Sōkatsui!" He gathered a large amount of his reiatsu in to this kido before he let it fire in to the belly. ╚══════════════╝ .....what is left for you to take?

(( Angel I've noticed you've cast at least 3 kido by now (one of which you've referenced putting a lot of reiatsu into) and the kido energy bar hasn't budged an inch? Is that thing purely for show or do you plan to make it move? It's a little misleading to have it if you don't. Or is it supposed to be a measure of how powerful your Kido are stating that they are always at 100% power? This is impossible as you charged a kido however. I'd simply like some clarity as if you are planning to make it move then all the better. I can use that to better create a tense situation. Thanks))

Pad Chief (( Angel I've noticed you've cast at least 3 kido by now (one of which you've referenced putting a lot of reiatsu into) and the kido energy bar hasn't budged an inch? Is that thing purely for show or do you plan to make it move? It's a little misleading to have it if you don't. Or is it supposed to be a measure of how powerful your Kido are stating that they are always at 100% power? This is impossible as you charged a kido however. I'd simply like some clarity as if you are planning to make it move then all the better. I can use that to better create a tense situation. Thanks)) (Im sorry. Kay's step faltered as she looked up into the countless fanged mouths that made up the hollow's underbelly. Fear made her heart clench-- she hadn't expected anything like this-- but it wasn't fear for herself so much as for the short, black-haired shinigami who was her companion and charge. Kay also felt a healthy dose of shame. She'd led her companions in this attack, never considering that their enemy might be concealing other sorts of dangers, of which these yawning mouths and innumerable rows of teeth were certainly one.
Before she could react, a long, muscular tongue snaked out and wrapped itself around her right wrist. The skin of her wrist burned like fire, as if the hollow's saliva was eating away at it. In a trice, several more tongues lashed out and secured her ankles, flipping her upside down and dragging her into the air and towards those gnashing teeth. Luck and her instructor's training made her maintain a vice-like grip on her blade, but her first instinct wasn't to attack the beast. She was far more concerned for her companion's well-being, who had become similarly encumbered by the hollow's tongues.
Perhaps it was the girl's lesser weight, but she was being dragged more quickly towards the hungry mouths. With a small growl, Kay twisted violently and wrapped her free arm around the other girl's waist, dragging her back down just as the girl fired off a bolt of white lightning from her fingertips. It gained them only a temporary reprieve, though. The tongues continued to reel the two girls in, bringing them ever closer to the razor-sharp teeth. This only made Kay struggle more violently to rip free.
Abruptly, she found herself falling as Angel sliced through the tongues caught the pair of them, and tossed them away. Though Kay chafed at being flung away from danger like a blushing damsel, she still appreciated the rescue as she was not sure she could have managed on her own. She did not, however, think that Angel could handle the hollow on his own. Though he was arguably more experienced than the others, he could just as easily be caught by the hollow's grasping tongues. She surged to her feet and made for the hollow's underbelly once more, approaching with more appropriate caution, but also with all speed to lend support to Angel's attack.

((You've taken too long. I'm moving this on without you. I'm going to remove you from interactions temporarily but if you wish to rejoin simply make a post as long as you fit yourself back in.)) ((Angel, sorry about this if you wanted a heroic rescue, but saicere who plays Kay/Kyrie has decided she wants to make a new character. Everything else I'll include but she gave me her blessing to make Kay vanish and vanish she shall.)) The execution of the escape and the damage they had managed to deal to counter it had been perfect. First of all Kodate had managed to expertly foil the hollow's method of attack. Although it had not been expecting to meet with much resistance the absolute lack thereof had thrown off the beast's balance a little but nothing too serious. It would recover almost immediately however the shinigami then capitalised on this by using a binding kido. Although it was not strong enough to permanently hold the hollow down it was the way in which it was used. As the hollow slammed against the floor the kido took action and it's legs gave way causing the full weight of it to fall on Kay. It was fortunate indeed that when Sakura had managed to blast herself free in mid air with a hado #4. Had she not she may have met the same grizzly fate. The hollow was crippled through the team work of those around it. Having taken that jump and been hit with that kido it was now completely paralysed as it's legs were completely broken and some had even snapped off entirely while some faced upwards. All in all it was not a pretty sight to see. There could be no better chance than now to do some real damage to it now that it was forced to be stationary. Already the shinigami named Angel was preparing to do some heavy damage. He had not only used the full chant for a powerful kido but had also made sure to charge it. A powerful blast of reiatsu came forth and smashed into the hollow. It didn't manage to effectively piece the strong exoskeleton of the beast but it was effective in other ways. Although the hit had not been very direct the blast had hit the last remaining stalk on top of the main hollow body and the exoskeleton had been destroyed at that point. As the creature wailed it's spiritual body started coming loose and slowly the reishi that comprised it started to unravel itself causing the creature to simply disappear because of the heavy damage it had taken. As it disappeared a sound of either white noise or their zanpakto talking began to reappear inside their heads until it was swiftly sublimated and hid inside their unconscious minds until they would need it again. They would be able to use their zanpakto again now to full effectiveness. Although it had seemed this fight might be insurmountable earlier they had effectively using teamwork crippled it's movements but it was a strong enough hollow to survive without legs. There was only two more things they would have to deal with. The massive claw that could rend any one of them apart in a single move or the tongues that lay on it's underbelly. After that it was simply a case of obtaining the killing blow and putting an end to this fight.

"Ah!"
Ai's big golden eyes welled up. They turned glossy and reflective as he watched the gargantuan, crab like Hollow crash onto one of his fellow
teammates.
"...."
The boy's body trembled and his hands slowly rose near his chest. His fingers gingerly curled in as he took small steps backwards. The Shinigami's breathing was now heavy and came in short, rapid quivers. Small yelps of shock escaped along with the distressed breathing. It was as if time slowed down all around him.
"She...it..."
Even his thoughts were unable to be properly formed for a small moment of time.
"I know why they sent us now."
His arms fell down to his side and seemed to be limp. He then lowered his head and let his bangs fall over and down his face along with the ends of the ribbon is his hair.
"We're expendable. We were used to gauge the strength of an unknown enemy. Success was not expected...just information."
His right hand slowly fingered then grabbed the hilt of his weapon that was located on his back nestled between his belt. His tan hands were definitely a contrast the beautiful white hilt what was wrapped in a soft pink ribbon.
"Well I intend to relay the information personally. I refuse to be expendable!"
And that instant Ai rose his head with a strong motion that sent his ponytail flying out with the ribbon and his bangs outwards as a small tear flew from his eye and shimmered before landing on the ground, splashing away. Ai's expression was a determined, fierce glare that would've pierced anyone who saw. His golden eyes were were still glossy, but out of power now. His hand gripped the hilt with so much strength that all his muscles flexed. He clenched his teeth and then let out a loud roar!
"Rahhh!!"
He sprinted with amazing speed towards the Hollow with strides that that seemed almost like he was flying. As the enraged, but still collected and calm, Shinigami neared the beast he stopped just out of the claw's range and side spun to the right with a pant in his breath. The graceful action was paired with the unsheathing of his Zanpakutou. The ribbon tails of his sword shook violently from the velocity of the move and the blade shone brightly. His hair and hair ribbon spiraled and wisped around the boy's face as his belt did the same around his waist. When the 360 degree movement reached its halfway point Ai shot out his Zanpakutou aimed at the weak joint connecting the Hollow's menacing claw to it's limb!
"Hahhh!"
He yelled out again before reciting another incantation.
"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!!"
As the motion neared completion and Ai had just landed on the ground again he pushed his left arm outwards and pointed his index finger and middle finger to the sword and continued his Kido.
"Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat!"
He charged up for a moment before letting his body glow pink. His hair and ribbon bow train were hovering as well.
"Bakudo #9!! Horin!"
Just then a whip of orange energy that was spiraling with yellow sparks was released from his fingers to latch onto the hilt of his flying Zanpakutou that only increased it's deadly accuracy and flying speed.
"Ah!"
His right arm then came around and his hands met. He pointed outwards with his right hand using his index finger and cast another Kido!
"Hado #1!! Sho!!"
A thrust of transparent energy traveled along the energy rope with amazing speed and pushed the Zanpakutou to travel even faster with another added boost in power. When the sword connected Ai could not tell if it had pierced deep enough into the joint, but he had to continue with attack. Even if it had failed he could still do some damage. He spread his legs apart a bit and stood his ground. His body was still glowing, but now his hair and ribbons were hovering with a bit more vigor. His right index finger was still aligned and pointed to the Horin rope connected to his left hand.
"Hado #4 Byakurai!!"
As he shouted out the spell with a loud burst of energy his hair, ribbons, clothes, and a small area around him was pushed back almost like a huge gust of wind had blown his way. The powerful stream of lightning stayed connected to the rope and created a burst of what seemed like glitter at the base of it! It made it's way to the Zanpakutou where it would act like a lightning rod and pinpoint the electrical arrow into a concentrated area and then spread out hopefully separating the claw from the arm!
"Grrr!"
He bit down on his own teeth again before calling out to his partners.
"Come on you guys! We have to take it down! Before it takes another life!"
