Appearance description: (optional) At a glance, Murren looks like a winged ball of light whizzing about. But on closer inspection, Murren has blonde, curly hair that she keeps bobbed so it stays out of the way of her pale green wings. She tends toward colorful, cobbled together outfits with loads of small baubles and trinkets dangling off them. She tends to wear a slightly ratty green silk top hat with a pink hat band and feathered pin. Has bright green eyes and fair skin.

Personality: Murren is a little eccentric, but not necessarily naive. She can be quite absent minded at times, and very forgetful, but when she's focused on something, it's difficult to draw her attention elsewhere. She laughs frequently--often at nothing, it seems, and likes to spend time in quiet contemplation of the universe. She can also be quite micheivous at times, and frequently gets angry (but usually comically rather than seriously) or over reacts to things.



Bio: Murren grew up in Cornwall, spending her life among a small Faerie community there. The lifestyle was somewhat rustic, and the fae tended to live in forests near farms, where they would tend livestock for farmers in return for gifts of milk, honey, and other trinkets.

Murren was always curious about Humans, having a deep fascination for mortals, and tended to lurk around farm houses to learn more about them. As she realized that Human society had progressed and magical races were attempting to live in the open with them, she decided to leave her little village and try to learn more about the world so she could spend more time with Humans and other non-fae races.

Rosentale seemed like a great opportunity to do just that, and as no stranger to hard work and looking after animals, she took up the position as the caretaker of the school's stables, as well as looking after much of the school grounds.

Skills and Abilities: Murren has a variety of skills common to fae--like pixie leading and glamour. Innately magical, her food and music can be dangerous for mortals to eat, but is perfectly safe for Fae or those of Fae descent.

Her main abilities are the ability shape-shift (she can change her size from growing smaller, to greater than Human size), and her ability to bring inanimate objects temporarily to life by binding pieces of her soul to them, hence she can often be seen arguing with things like boots and walls. (one of the reasons people think she's a wee-tad daft)

Shape shifting too often can cause her to permanently shrink by a millimeter or so at a time, so she only switches to a larger form when necessary. (Of course, her definition of 'absolutely necessary' can be odd...) She doesn't lose height after every transformation--just if she does it many times in a row and only if she's extended her size beyond her "max" size of about 5'.

Note that when she's in her human form, she's fairly short, and her wings are also no longer visible. She looks more or less like a normal--but short--human.

Flaws:
Tunnel vision--once she has an idea in her head, it's pretty difficult to convince her otherwise
Forgetful and absent minded. She would forget her head if it wasn't attached. Literally. She sometimes forgets she can fly.
Rather fickle--she can decide she hates you at the drop of a hat, or back out of her agreements like it means nothing
Mercurial--her moods shift pretty rapidly so it's hard to predict what she'll do next.
Questionable morals--like many Faeries, Murren's morals and ethics don't always coincide with those of Humans. Touching her hat might get you cursed, but she thinks it's perfectly fine to steal babies or tie someone's hair to the bedpost for laughs.

Being from Cornwall, she does have a rather thick English accent.

If you call her a leprechaun, she WILL go full sized and beat your arse into next week.
