"Only the best assignment ever." Robert quickly responded to Sherry, giving her a wink before sidling over and wrapping one arm around Reine in a quick hug. "UH, I'm being awesome, that's what. Now make yourself comfortable, get to know people. Mingle. Maybe have a pillow fight. I won't stop you."
Robert was quickly turning into Dr. H's unintentional protege, but if anyone ever called him on this, he would sucker punch them for the insult.
He took his place back by Dr. H's desk, swinging his feet wildly. "Anyone got any better requests for music? We got loads. We're the ones with the computers after all. Those suckers in the other Divisions are probably outside in the cold singing Kumbaya to a guitar, or something, HAHAHA."
.. He wasn't too far off.

Sherry raised an eyebrow as Robert answered her question. Curiosity was a dangerous thing, and he'd piqued hers.
Armagnac's tone showed she already knew the answer.
Sherry looked at her fellow Lifers. Three, besides herself so far. Their leader for a day, a guy dressed like a boxer(?), and a girl who had also brought a pillow. Of course she was staying. This seemed like a good time to get to know people. Though...she only knew Robert's name so far.
Sherry smiled at the girl that had just entered. "I'm Sherry."

Blame it on all the head trauma, but it took leon a moment to register what was happening.
Robert, the singing and jumping on tables and deryk being..... deryk-y. "Really man, you're having a party, in the labs?" he asked blandly and tried his best not to stare at the pillow clutching girls that were in there with him. "slash slumber party?"
he had to admit, a slumber party was something that only Robert could think of, that and teenage girls. They were both the same thing essentially.
Even if he was brought here from in between his evening workout, the boxer still took a seat on the table and tried to relax. His back was still as straight as ever even without the backrest. "Dr. H is going to kill you, isn't he?"

"YUUUUUUUUUUUP." Robert drawled out with a goofy grin on his face in response to Leon, then suddenly his grin melted into a frown, almost instantly. <********. You know what this party needs? Some ******** snacks. Goddamnit, someone do a snack run to the cafeteria." He shot his hands up into the air quickly. "NOT IT."

Sherry turned her head at the mention of a snack run. "I'm certainly not going. I already brought a pillow." She smiled at the others as grabbed herself a chair and sat down. She tried to look pleasant, as she realized that had come out a bit snobbish.
She just didn't want to go to the cafeteria in her pajamas. Sure, she had her coat on and most of the island seemed to be away, but still. She was already here. In her pajamas.

Tori had been reading some books in her room when she heard her phone go off, she sighed as she got off her bed and looked at the message. Confused to who was sending the message as it was a number she didn't recognize and even more confused as she was reading the message as who ever this was there spelling was very special and something she would have gotten in trouble for if she had ever did that in her old life. Trying to decide if she was just going to go find out what this assignment was or just go back to her book and say she didn't hear the message come in.
Then the second text came in and reading it Tori thought that it was some sorta joke or something she just didn't understand and was totally just going to go back to her book.
Aklin chimed in.
But I just got started reading my new books and they are so good!! She whined to her weapon. All she wanted to do was sorta shut her self off from anyone because of the withdrawal from all that JOY.
her weapon threatened.
OK I will go, just don't go there, ok. Tori quickly answered as she didn't want to have another huge headache ever again if she could help it.
Quietly Tori walked to the labs with Aklin happily humming in her head. The first thing when getting near to the labs was the music as that was a little strange and she grew nervous as she didn't know what to think and to what the mission could be. She had come in her pajamas a simple t-shirt and fuzzy pants with her coat on over the t-shirt that wasn't buttoned closed and carrying a pillow with the same hand she had a small bag with her scarf inside with a book and a notebook inside. But once walking into the labs and spotting what Leon was wearing and she was ever more so confused that she cocked her head to one side trying to figure things out as all of this was just so strange and new to her and just so very confused on every level.
"Hi...Um I'm here for that assignment" Tori said nervously. Then she spotted Reine and quickly walked over to were she was standing. "Heya Reine," Tori said warmly as she gave a little smile to the other female life hunters and still confused as hell.

Oh, Robert. What could she really have expected from him- what was she thinking, even, having remotely considered the possibility that he'd called her over for a serious mission? It wasn't that she particularly minded a party, though, she supposed- a little time spent with the others in her division would probably go a long way. Plus, the fact that it wasn't a real mission allowed her to let her guard down a little.
"You sure about this, Bobby?" She could only imagine messing up the lab, bits of broken glass all around, possible injuries, not to mention things to clean up. Reine nodded to Sherry, and introduced herself in return. She rolling her eyes at Robert- are you thinking what I'm thinking, this guy's gone nuts- before glancing over at Leon purposefully and grinning.
"Not it, either." She waved to him. "Grab some apple juice, while you're there." Truth be told, Reine had never been to a slumber party, or held one of her own. She'd heard about what they were supposed to be like, though that mostly entailed having a bunch of giggly girls giving each other makeovers and.. the like.
Speaking of a bunch of girls... "Hey Tori!" She curled an arm almost protectively around her friend's shoulder. "Glad to see you here, too!"

Sherry didn't want to go, Reine didn't want to go, and oooh, hello new girl, she probably didn't want to go either.
That left..
"YOU'RE UP, BROSKI. Make sure you bring all the real good s**t, like from the vending machines, don't go bringing a plate of mashed potatoes on me. I'll ******** kill you." He reached into his pocket and pulled out 12 single dollar bills, stuffing them into Leon's hand. "I want a bag of cheetos, myself. And like, some nuts. Chicks dig nuts."
What the ********, Robert, seriously.
It seemed like the new addition to the party knew Reine, and Robert caught the name just as Reine said it. He gave Tori a great big, welcoming smile, before gesturing off for her to make herself comfortable. "Sup, welcome to Party 101, with your host Robert Morris. Pop a squat, and when Leon comes back, I'ma tell you ladeez what fun thing we're doing today. Other than, you know, anything you feel like doing. If the urge to hit each other with pillows or make out strikes, go with your feelings."
Today was the best day ever.

"I what?" Leon blinked awkwardly and pointed at himself as Robert gave him a wad of cash.
Looked like he was heading to a nudie bar or something with the way the singles was rolled up. There wasn't even a chance to protest it as the first vowel died on his lips. JUNK FOOD LEON, HOP TO IT! Nidhogg grumbled out in glee at the word and the boxer could feel the dragon smile, all toothy and menacingly. "Figures you would like Nuts Robert." He said passive aggressively as he stomped out of the labs and over to the cafeteria where the machines waited.
even in irritation Leon was punching all the things, with his feet as he stomped. "Blasted Cheetos, blasted junk food, blasted chocolate non energy bars." was all he grumbled as he stuck the first dollar in and it ate it up much like he expected his partner would to a piece of pumpkin pie.
He was already pressing the number pad for the Cheetos when the vile contraption let out a angry buzz and spat out the dollar at his feet.

leon could feel his eye twitch as he tried to put it in and watched as it refused his cash yet again. and with the next dollar. and the dollar after that.
And that one.
That one too.
Again. Again. Again. again. again. Repeat.
Then he tried bill number twelve and had a sigh of relief when it didn't immediately spit it out back at him. It was a miracle when the coil began to turn and the bag of saturated fats and cheese powder moved closer and closer.
And got stuck in the coil, unable to drop down into the receiving tray.
".........................................FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKK!"
all that was heard after that was a loud clang and the shattering of safety glass spraying out on the floor. But Leon walked away triumphantly with a pile of goodies in his arms.
And 11 counterfeit bucks to return to Robert.

Tori felt a little less confused when Reine put her arm on her shoulder as she was still nervous but not to the point that she would say random facts to what came to her mind. "Me too," she replied. "I'm Tori by the way," she introduced herself.
Listening to what Robert had to said about this being a party and this was no party that she had ever been to, hell she didn't even thought not to call it such. "Is this really a party?" Tori quietly asked Reine were only the girls could hear. Then once she heard the mention of hitting others with a pillow and making out Tori cocked her head to the side and gave a 'what the hell' type of look at Robert as she was just more confused by it all. All the while her weapon was laughing at the situation and at her confusion and she was trying not to listen to said weapon the best that she could.

Over the music a loud crashing sound can be heard as something large slams against the building's entrance. An alarm suddenly sounds overhead, and Clarice's voice sounds over the PA.
"Aberrant Life Form has breached the Inner Wards. All hunters to defensive stations. Aberrant Life Form has breached the Inner Wards. All hunters to defensive stations. When Leon returned, Robert's eyes went wide and glittered with joy. "******** YEAH, LEON! You are the MAN!" He dove into the pile, making Leon drop half of them, and stole a couple of bags for himself. A minute later, his mouth was stuffed with cheetos and ready to party.
Well, almost ready.
"Okay, so kids, it's time to get down to business. Here's your mission-"
Clarice's voice made Robert almost throw up in fear. For a second, he thought they'd actually returned, but the warning came through the PA, which meant it was serious. And as he listened to it, he realized his pillow party, and the mission he'd been planning, fluttered away like dust in the wind. Business was business, even he knew that.
"Leon. If you got your weapon on you, take point and escort the girls out of here, we need to figure out what the ******** just got into Deus, and most importantly, WHAT THE ******** IS A DEFENSIVE STATION CLARICE YOU b***h."
Leave the kiddies home alone uninformed? Only in Deus! "I'll take the rear. Girls, summon your weapons." His face was dark and cold as his hand plucked a coin from his pocket, and slashed it through the air as it elongated into his batleth, Jezebel. "Our party's gonna have to wait."

Sherry gave a friendly as they were joined by another female trainee. She'd seen this girl once or twice before. Yep, it seemed like she might actually get the chance to talk to some folks here. Or at least learn a few names. That would be nice.
Yep. This had the potential to become a rather fun time. Depending on their 'assignment.' The more Robert talked, the more skeptical Sherry became about it, but she did plan to stay and hang out. So whatever. When the other guy returned with snacks, Sherry finally caught his name, too. "Thanks for being the snack finder, Leon!"
Snacks, people, music. Sherry decided she was glad that she'd stayed.
The alarm brought the girl out of her chair and onto her feet. What in the world?
I don't. Whatever that alarm was talking about, it couldn't be good. At least she'd had the sense to put her coat on. Having to deal with things in just her pajamas would have been annoying.
Sherry looked to Robert as he stared giving orders and nodded. She didn't need to be told twice. A moment later, she was holding a glaive taller than herself in her hands. Armagnac was practically purring inside her head.

At the entrance to the Life labs and infirmary building, a massive robot was currently slamming itself repeatedly against the stone walls. With it's colour washed out and blue glowing eyes, it would be understandable to think it was simply another lab experiment gone terribly, terribly wrong. Except that there was someone...something inside controlling is, and when they spoke, it was with a hundred voices crying at once, "HOOOOOOOOOME!"BOSS FIGHT BOSS FIGHT: MECHA OF MENACE: 70/70 - Characters have unlimited turns to attack, but each time they attack, they take an even 10 damage to THEMSELVES. Make sure to add up their HP value and damage accordingly, and to update the boss's HP with the damage they've done at the bottom of their post. - They may use charged attacks as they wish as well, as long as they have the charges for it

Well, at least he didn't have to worry about this 'defensive station' nonsense, when the bad guys came to them. Convenient, if not completely horrifying. He took up rank positions with the girls, and bared his weapon. He had no words of encouragement, or advice, or even orders.. if they didn't know that this thing was bad and should be hit and die, then he had nothing for them except a good example to follow.
So he charged the robot, his batleth slicing right along the middle of the leg in hopes of incapacitating it.
