"It's my pleasure, Solemn. If you've forgotten my name it's White Wedding. Though I do say that I would remember one such as you and I'm remiss as to how that's come about." Wed said, going along with it for the time being. She could swear she hadn’t met the buck before but she might have forgotten. “Ah yes! There’s this lovely doe that I was following the other day. Apparently she lives here and I thought it might be fun to go see what she’s hiding in such an odd place. If you’d care to join me, it may turn out to be fun.”

Miss smiled, sharing a look with his twin. "Well, we rather like fun," he commented wryly. He looked at his brother, letting the other buck have the final say in the matter.

It sounded like Wed had some sort of plan and with Miss agreeing, Solemn just nodded, "Lead on, my dear." Just peering behind his ear was Joke, staying hidden like he was suppose to, for the time being. There wasn't much the snake could do at the moment anyways. "As my twin stated, we do enjoy our fun. We should tell you the story of Nettle, sometime."

With a mischievous grin, Wed led the duo into the water. “Hmm, this does seem interesting. Care to take the lead boys? I'd rather not have any uglies jumping out at me without an advance warning. And Nettle? I'd love to hear it!"

The freckled bucks grinned in unison. "Absolutely," Mischief said, trotting into the water ahead of his brother, with spry enthusiasm. It deepened quickly, getting to a point where he had to kick to keep himself from going under the water. The owlcat on his back hissed her displeasure, and dug her claws into his pelt as she sought purchase to keep from falling into the water.

Not one to just let his twin go without him, Solemn moved in closer to Miss. He waited to see how deep the water was before going to join them. Noticing how deep it was, Solemn ran into it.
Joke feeling the water along his belly, slid off into the water and towards the roots. As he neared the owlcat, the orange snake spit water at her and laughed hissingly.

Wed continued walking and the water continued to rise. Ring stayed close at her side, hating every minute of their journey, she knew. As she swam behind the twins she had a feeling that things were going to get interesting very quickly. "So, which way should we go?"

Mauler hissed at the Snack, clacking her beak in a threatening gesture at it.
Miss ignored his companion as the water got deeper and deeper beneath them, examining the maze of roots around them. While the initial web of channels between the roots had been many, wide, and spacious, the space they were now in was more tangled, with dead tree roots standing in the water like old bones. "Well, that way over there looks like it's a dead end. And I'm fairly sure we'll get stuck here... which leaves..."

Without missing a stroke, Solemn dunked his twin under the water..."Which leaves us to go under and see." It was the only option Solemn could see, though his brother might not like it as much. Joke made his way past the owlcat without a second glance, he knew they would be getting wet either way.

Miss kicked hard as his head was dunked underwater by his brother's weight, knowing Mauler was glaring at them with furious intent. She would not appreciate a sudden trip underwater, and they wouldn't appreciate the eventual consequences of that if it happened.

"I have a feeling Ring Bearer is not going to like this." She said, taking a breath and dunking her head underwater. She didn't really see much of anything and wasn't sure about going forward. As she waited for Mischief Managed and Solemnly Swear to join her under the water, she eventually noticed they didn't. Coming up for air, she asked "Were you coming?"

Miss winced, and glanced back at Maul as she kneaded him once again with her very sharp claws. "Once you two find the way? I'd prefer my back not be a collection of shreds, thanks."

Laughing and dodging the kick, Solemn took a deep breath and plunged back under the water. He looked up in time to see Wed going back to the surface. Thinking about it, he gave her tail a quick pull and continued to find a spot for him and Miss to fit into.
Joke was no where to be seen, which was no surprise to the buck. He just wished the silly thing had led them to an opening large enough for each of them to get in.

Chuckling, Wed went back under at the tug of her tail and watched to see what Ring Bearer would do. With reluctance, the eaglehound went under the water and paddled until he found an opening big enough for the three of them to fit in. Bobbing her head back out, White Wedding said, “It looks like he’s found something! Let’s go this way.” Going back underwater, the doe made quick work of following her familiar who was now out of the water and shaking off the moisture that dared muss his feathers.

Miss followed, staying as close to the surface as he could, to let the feline on his back stay at least somewhat dry. He felt her claws dig in, heard the water-muffled remnant of an unhappy, low yowling noise. But soon enough, they were out of the roots, and halfway into what looked like the entrance to a cave. "Oh, this is going to be fun."
