"I..I know," Mitsu admitted. She knew that Shun probably didn't expect anything and would have been fine but it meant something to her to give him something nice.

"The totem beads are for luck," Mitsu pointed out on the necklace once Shun had it on. "The moonstone...it was something my parents had for me when I was born." She said then shifting to point at the shimmering white stone. "And this." Her finger touched the wolf paw charm that lightly rested on his chest. "This is a reminder." She didn't say anything about the inscription, likely he would find it later on his own.

Smiling lightly Mitsu nodded to the thanks. "I just hoped you would like it. I was afraid it would be too ghoully." Though, now that she could see it on him it really didn't seem to be an issue.

Her attention then perked when it seemed Shun was going to return the favor. "Y..you have something for me?" Now she was really glad she had gotten him something. How awkward to have been without a gift?

Her eyes lit up, much like they had when he had presented her with the wolf plushie. With a delicate touch, her fingers took the box, wanting to be as careful as possible. When she had retracted it back toward her she lifted the lid on the box, staring at the item for a moment, disbelief settling on her features.

"S..Shun. Isn't this...? This is..." Her gaze turned back toward him, her expression fighting to figure out how to react. She was overwhelmingly touched obviously but this seemed like such an important item. Was she really worthy to receive it? The chain was new, something delicately made to hold the item but the gem was unmistakable. Mitsu had spent two weeks with the item and knew it's every detail. It had belonged to his mother. "This is really special to you, isn't it?"

Her fingers held the box closely, the lycan biting her lower lip for a moment as she continued to stare at the stone in disbelief. She could feel the welling urge to cry, her eyes getting glassy like tears threatened to gather but she made an attempt to blink them away. "This...is the nicest gift I have ever gotten. It really means a lot that you think so highly of me." There didn't seem to be a hint of exaggeration the sincerity reflecting in her tone. "Thank you, Shun."

After a moment Mitsu lifted the necklace from the box with care before placing it around her neck. Her fingers made sure the gem sat neatly in place right where her collarbones parted to form her manubrium. She continued to touch it lightly, looking back into the reaper's gaze with a warm smile. "Thank you so much."

Mitsu sat back for a moment as the tea arrived, a light pink hue touching her cheeks as she looked away. The smile was still in place though and she quickly look backed at Shun as the waiter left. His thanks once again brought a warm smile to her face. Without much warning Mitsu leaned forward and stood just enough so that she could gently press a kiss to Shun's lips.

"And thank you. For everything." She said softly while she was still close. "And I'm sorry." Her voice was suddenly grave, like she was going to give him the worst of news. That was when the pastry came into view. "I don't think I can share this." Nope, she had decided. It looked really yummy.

Mitsu's eyes lite up for a moment, her attention focused on Shun's face. That sound he had just made. It was the closest she had come to hearing him make a sound of amusement on his own. It had her in such awe she nearly forgot the pastry held between her fingers.

"W..what? Oh," She looked at the pastry sizing it up. "No...no I don't think I can but I will give it my best shot." She smiled rather pleased with her answer before thanking Shun for the tea. A quick sip and her focus was on the pastry. Every flaky and creamy bite of it. It took her a moment to figure out where to start. Every angle looked amazing. Fluffy crust, light honey glaze, creamy filling.

She licked her lips slightly before finally bringing the cream puff toward her mouth for a bite, a mess of cream being left in the corners of her mouth. Oh it was good. So heavenly and her expression said so.

There was a brisk nod before Mitsu finally swallowed the bit of pastry in her mouth. "Yes, very much so. What do you think?" She looked like a little kid with cream and crumbs littering the corners of her mouth. A quick lick seemed to solve most of the problem but not all of it.

After a good bit and calm conversation the two managed to finish off most of their pastry and tea. The bill paid, Mitsu waited for Shun, linking her arm with his as they made their way back out into town. Now, she was utterly lost at this point so she could only hope that Shun had an idea of where they were. "This place was rather nice. We should come here again." A clue in for Shun to remember the location. Because obviously Mitsu couldn't.

The walk through town was nice though they had no real destination. At least it was peaceful. Or at least it was until someone bumped into Shun. As the two stopped Mitsu couldn't help but note the odd exchange of looks before the stranger walked away. It left her looking at his retreating form for a moment before turning to Shun.

"Are you okay? What was that odd look you gave him?" She asked curiously. It was cold, but yet still one of understanding.

The long pause before Shun answered had Mitsu's brows raising curiously. Was it odd or was it not? Mitsu was trying to determine. She knew Shun wasn't from this area but that didn't mean he didn't know people before he moved here. Likewise they could have come from Shun's home area as well.

"Who did you think it was?" It seemed like she was going to play along as least.
