"Although I would love to take them up on their offer of a free horse, I have my own." As Oineros wittily remarked his idea of stealth, Amantae rolled her eyes. "Sweet cheeks, lest you have a set of armor to match theirs, not to mention something to block out our voices and faces, there was no chance that we could have persuaded them." She bent down, checking the folds of the dead sentry's clothes to check for any loot upon him. "However, these men don't seem the brightest." Amantae almost laughed out loud as Oineros suggested that Amantae and Eliya would trail behind as himself and Rogal drew the rest of the enemies in. "I'm starting to think that you haven't worked with stealth based characters before," she paused, leaning over her shoulder to smile at Eliya," Here's an idea, fellows. Why don't me and Eliya sneak in and catch the enemies when they least expect it." She turned fully to Eliya, still talking to the rest of the group as she did so," I'm not sure of what your skills are but I think that they might have something to do with sneaking. Whatever they are, I believe that you'd be better off sneaking with me. But, I don't know. I'm just a sneaky b*****d." Turning once more to the rest of the group," I propose that, after we've struck our spells or arrows or whatever we're using, you two then rush in, using whatever method of maiming you use." If it wasn't obvious before, it was now blatantly clear that Amantae had no skills in the art of warfare and planning. Then again, she'd never needed to plan out tactics, being that she had always worked alone. "But I'm really not into leading groups. Never have been never will do. Besides, I've already got my own hide to watch, I don't need a group of them." Bad post is bad, so sorry about that.

"Characters...?" Rogal said to himself, after hearing Amantae's piece. "Er, well, anyway, that sounds like a good plan to me, just as long as you two be careful and don't get caught. I figure we'll know when we should charge in. There should be lots of yelling and clanking, yes?" Rogal strapped his mace and shield back to his belt and back, respectively, before pulling his warhammer out from over his shoulder. By the sound of this current plan, it sounded like bashing heads as efficiently as possible would be the most helpful course of action.

Oineros No matter how powerful the mage or competent the warrior... A knife in the back will seriously cramp his style. When he had been a bandit one of his comrades had been a former member of the Imperial Legion. That old man was the one who had taught Oineros how to fight with a blade, and had even taught the little him a little bit about tactics. The old man had told a story to help drive every point home, and had sometimes just told him stories for the heck of it. For some reason, what Amantae had said reminded him of a half remembered story the old man had told him, something about a forth wall. He refocused on the task at hand. "A bottle of wine and unabashed praise covers a multitude of sins and disguises," he said absent-mindedly. Her plan was actually fairly workable as well. It allowed them to do some damage before they all joined the melee, and it didn't rely entirely on their mage being good at raining large amounts of destruction in a short amount of time. It also meant that everyone would be confused and in disarray when the orc and his humble self hit them like the fist of an angry god. He was ok with any plan that allowed him to compare himself to divine smiting. His only complaint was that it would expose the two women to alot more damage from every surviving member of the bandit gang. He quickly stopped worrying about their when he considered Eliya's overly sarcastic response. "Then we have a plan," he said. He pulled his longsword from its sheathe and ran the blade through a quick circle and lunge to loosen up. "And I do enjoy any plan that lets me play the cavalry."((Yes. I did just include a useless paragraph so I could make a fourth wall joke.))

Eliya ~ [ooc - GNOME - please do not post smaller then nine, We shouldn't have to zoom in our computer screen to read your posts! - Also I'm fine with anyone directing the quest with their posts, as far as introducing things so don't wait for me to do so.]The dark haired Imperial didn't respond to Eliya's sarcasm, something that she found mildly disappointing, but Amantae's swift interjection though agreeable left Eliya scowling. First the dark man was assuming she was skilled in the school of destruction, (even though she hadn't told him) and now this other woman was assuming she had sneaky tendencies! The other woman irritated Eliya, from her cozy smile to her blatant provocative attitude and assumptions in between! Actually all three of her companions were irritating.....the sooner this rescue was over the better.
A slender eyebrow raised in response to the other elven woman's continued words. Not into leading groups? Obviously she liked bossing people around but not being responsible for them. Not that Eliya enjoyed that, but at least when she ordered people around she generally assumed responsibility, and didn't shirk from it. It was more then apparent that the Bosmer woman had little, if any skill in strategy, even in a simplistic sense.
Oineros spoke up, agreeing to Amantae's proposal. When he did so, Eliya shot a quick glance at the steel clad Orc, wondering if he would have any say. It didn't appear so. Sighing to herself, Eliya said nothing but stepped forward to open the cavern door. It was a wooden door with rusty hinges, and squeaked as she opened it. She entered a little less cautiously then she normally did when entering a dark unknown area -- her carelessness likely attributed to her current frustration level. The redheaded elf didn't even pause to wait for Amantae to fall in step beside her, if the other woman wanted to join her she could.
The interior of the cave held a lit torch, which Eliya completely disregarded, settling instead to let someone else use it, while she herself slipped on her ring of night eye. Instantly the darkness of the cave shifted into a world of blue. She blinked a few times to adjust her eyes and then continued to move forward as stealthily as possible, shooting a glare behind at the others as someone made a noise, from the sound of it it had likely been the Orc. The corridor led straight forward, turning out of sight about thirty feet ahead. Abruptly Eliya lifted a hand, motioning for the others to halt. She thought she'd heard something....and then there, she definitely heard it. Dogs.

"Although I would love to take them up on their offer of a free horse, I have my own." "I like a man who can handle himself. But let's just speak of battle, yes?" Amantae joked at Oineros. It was then that the group entered the cave, Eliya taking the lead and not even waiting for Amantae. "b***h," she muttered beneath her breath, before falling in line with the Altmer. Amantae began to sneak ahead of Oineros and Rogal, placing herself just inches behind Eliya. For the love of Talos, she was so irritating. Amantae saw how carelessly she entered the cave, not to mention the way her face scrunched up as the others talked. She seemed to want to lead, but not make up a plan. Sure, Amantae didn't want to lead because she didn't like bossing others around or having to look out for the rest of her team, but this woman seemed to have no reason. Further more, she had taken lead in the cave! Amantae did not understand the serious Altmer's decision to do so, especially as she had not previously had any input in moving the plan along. If Amantae had actually put any of her heart in this mission, as she was known to do with dark brotherhood missions, she would make it known that Eliya was an irritation. However, this was not the sort of mission she really cared for. This was but a small battle that would give her gold enough to pass by. It was then that she heard the barking, that unsettling barking. She watched as Eliya signaled for the group to stop. As if Amantae was going to stop when she could hear the mongrels scream! Turning around the corner, whilst sneaking of course, she began to draw one of her arrows. She could see five dogs at the very least. She aimed her arrow at one of the closer mongrels, allowing the arrow to swiftly fly into the dog's left eye. Although the arrow failed to kill the dog, it did manage to render the animal partially blind. Amantae snuck backwards, returning to the group," There are at least five dogs through there. One can't see through his left eye."

Rogal kept behind the ladies and Oineros, acting like a protective barrier for the party's back. He tried his best to sneak, but he was never very good at it, especially not in a full suit of steel armor. Nonetheless, his distance behind the group shouldn't give away their location.
After some sneaking through the cave, he noticed the group abruptly came to a halt. Not long afterwards, he heard the unmistakable barking of dogs, the twang of a bow, and one dog's brief whimper followed by lots of growling. Rogal made his way quickly, with no regard for stealth, to the front of the group.
He clenched his fists around the handle of his warhammer, and readied it to strike at the first hostile target to come around the corner. His instincts told him to run up and beat down whatever would oppose him, but he didn't know if his companions might have preferred to keep from making too much noise for just a little longer. For now, he would be ready to strike, and to protect the others.

Eliya ~ Eliya raised a slender eyebrow as the other female elf disregarded her suggestion and ran ahead. Well if that was how it was going to be....Eliya released a spell of invisibility over herself and followed after her, seeing her line up her bow and let loose an arrow. The arrow thudded into one of the mongrel's eyes, taking it down but not appearing to kill it. Instead of finishing it off or letting another loose, the woman retreated, but not before another one of the dogs saw her. She didn't appear to notice this, but thankfully for the group Eliya did. Though she didn't look behind, she figured the Orc would be ready. Hopefully he would. Still under the guise of invisibility, Eliya ran forward and took out the two closest dogs, a dagger to the throat of one, and a dagger to the under belly of another. They stood no chance against the mage assassin.
All that remained was the poor blind dog with an arrow sticking out of its eye. Eliya assumed the others had noticed her disappearance and were coming around the corner to see the carnage the Altmer had wrought. The dog was growling viciously despite its singular vision, and lunged at Eliya. Because of its narrowed vision, it was easy for the redhead to move swiftly out of the way. "I'm sure you want to finish him off, no?" Her voice taunted the other woman as she made it clear she had no interest in the elf's leftovers. Absently Eliya realized that Oineros was no longer with their group...hmm perhaps he was a coward then? Or a traitor? She might never know.
