"So, she crept closer, closer, closer to the den. Barely daring to breathe. She heard a scream. Her mother in pain. She heard her father cry out in shock and anger. A scuffle. Silence.
"Trembling, she peered into the darkness, only able to see shadows of movement. Nothing clear. She heard the whispers of the stranger. Her brothers, reluctant, fearful, obeying the whispered orders. And then they moved toward to leave the den, and the pup scrambled back, hiding under a log.
"From that scant safety, she saw the great paws of the stranger, the trailing ends of a cloak. And she saw her brothers, trembling, eyes gleaming with near-hysteria, muzzles coated in blood.
"And when she could bring herself to move past her terror, and cautiously slink out from her hiding place, crawl into the den, she could not at first comprehend what she was seeing.
"The bodies of her parents, broken and eviscerated, bits of flesh missing as though torn from their bodies by the tiny fangs of pups."

Morana smiled, this pack was most interesting. Having pups kill their parents, must be some sort of first test before entering the pack. But she wondered why it was only the male pups? Was this pack only males?

"Needless to say, that was the last the pup saw of her brothers, or the cloaked stranger."
Senka cocked her head, wondering about the other femme's pleasure at the story. Truly, there were all kinds in this world.
"Did that satisfy some of your curiosity about the shadow-wolves?" she inquired.

A twisted grin came over her maw and she nodded. "You tales are interesting, you spin them very well." And for that perhaps she wouldn't attack this female. It was good to scare those into believe monsters lived outside the den.
"The wolves do intrest me, perhaps i will wander to find them."

A compliment from one such as this female was a great thing, indeed. Senka was pleased. It seemed that she really was mastering her art. Well, not that that was exactly breaking news. She had been complimented before. Still, it was nice to hear that her skills were...appreciated. But that was neither here nor there.
"I suppose I cannot persuade you to share a little bit of your own story?" she inquired, though she doubted the female would agree. Still, it was worth a try. She was certain the tale would be interesting.

"I shall tell you parts of my story that are fit to pass my muzzle." She said and steadied her gaze of this female.
"They said we were cursed, devils of the earth. There are three of us, a male and a squirrel also wander the earth to match me. We were cast out and told never to return." She said and sifted her weight.
"My king at the time, was powerful as he grew and we both followed him, we killed and started taking down the earth, killing puppies and anything that claimed to be stronger that us. Needless to say we made a reputation for ourselves." Morana said and knew that this was the cleaner version, she did not need to tell her what they id before devouring the bodies.

Senka's ears pricked forward with interest. Now, this was an unexpected treat. She doubted she could have wrested the tale from this female by force or trickery. The god of fire must be on her side, today.
If she felt anything odd about hearing a tale like this firsthand, from the maw of a pup-killer, it did not show. Instead, she simply took in the details, wondering about things left unsaid, but not willing to push for them.

Morana could see that she was interested in her tale. "Later i lost my King, as he became lazy atop his throne of bones and bodies. I wanted to find something more. I knew that he was no longer stronger than i. So i went out on my own, killing endless amounts of wolves. I gained the title Basier de la Mort, which means kiss of death, since i only show myself at night with red eyes."
That was all se was willing to tell, not of her ties with the underworld and how she made sacrifices and took everything from the bodies in order to stay alive.

From the finality of the statement and her subsequent silence, Senka could tell that that was all the femme was willing to share. A pity. It was only the barest sketch of her life, surely missing great, gaping holes of succulent information. However, it was enough. Should she so desire, the resourceful storyteller could doubtless track down more of her tale. Learn about those little details, if not the femme's innermost secrets. It would have to do.
"My thanks for a tale shared," she said, nodding her head. "I bid you luck on your quest. Though, I hear that the shadow-wolves only accept males. But who knows? Times change. If the gods will it, you will meet with success."

Rising to her feet Morana nodded, "This is farewell, i hope we do not meet again. I do not let many live, you entertained me." She said and walked away hopping up onto a rock and looked back.
"Don't dig into what shouldn't be known, or else you may make some enemies." She told her and disappeared.
