Kaige finally woke up and headed out.
"If I'm going to get away,I need a route... there's always the tunnel,but it's too dangerous."

Ruedra walked back up the street, the young clerk told her that they wouldn't need someone for a few days, because the manager was going on Holiday, so they would be closed.
She decided that it was time to move on anyway. "Hmm..I wonder." She walked up to a garbage can sitting behind a house. She opened it and pulled out the first newspaper she saw.
'Signs of a strange young woman, around town." Popped out at Ruedra, when she opened the paper.
"Oh crap. I can't stay here any longer." How could she get away though.. Maybe the tunnel?

"Give me a newspaper, too, please," Laire told the clerk in the grocery store. A few extra gold went into the boy's tip, and she was out the door, flipping through the pages with a plastic bag full of groceries on her arm.
'Signs of a strange...' What the... Laire kept her cursing to herself. The milk and the eggs would spoil if she didn't complete her job soon. With this information leaking out, she would have to go straight to the tunnel and take care of the fugitives. And then she had a reporter to kill.

Ruedra rushed through the streets, trying to find some place where she might be able to stay that night, it had to be secret, so the woman wouldn't find her.
There were several inns...she slowed to a walk, looking to her right for a descent looking place.
Whack!
Ruedra walked right into a big guy standing in front of her. He had a nasty grin on his face. Ruedra shook her head and walked over to his right to pass. He blocked her. "Would you please move?" She asked politely, glaring bloody daggers at him.
"Now why would I do that?" he replied in a very creepy deep voice. He grabbed her arms and pinned them to her sides. Ruedra was helpless.

A large man and a young girl, approximately half his size, were struggling on the walkway. Judging by their expressions, this was a case of harassment that would inevitably end up in the man's banning.
Laire sighed. She wished people wouldn't do this on the streets, at least. She pulled a pistol out of her grocery bag and calmly fired, singing a bit of the man's hair.
"I hope you're aware that such behavior is not permitted here or anywhere," Laire reminded the man. "You could at least be more discreet, you filth."

Kaige walked out to find a restaraunt to eat at.
"Let's see...."
He crossed Laire's path as she left the grocery store,and notived something about her.
"That badge.... She's one of them."
He pulled his coat up to cover the barcode on his neck.

The man let go of Ruedra and back away. " Thank you, miss." Ruedra said, then she looked at the woman who saved her. 'OH God! She's one of them.' she thought to herself, when she saw the badge..She slowly turned away and started walking quickly back down the street.

He quickened his pace a bit to avoid being noticed.
"No... I can't die here."
He bumped into Ruedra,and was about to yell at her for getting in his way,but he saw the frightened look on her face.
"So.... you saw her too then?"

"Yes!" She turned slightly to look behind her. Laire was still back there. Ruedra turned back to Kaige. "Sorry, but I didn't get your name." She whispered to him.

"I don't know yet." She turned to him. "I'm contemplaiting the tunnel." She walked faster, then suddenly turned a corner into a dead end alley. She walked to the wall at the end and began climbing up.

Laire watched intently as the girl walked off and ran into another male, though this one seemed fine enough.
They saw... she thought, looking down at the city's badge pinned discreetly to her belt. They must be the ones.
Being a part of the task force meant knowing the city's layout by heart--if they were headed for the tunnel, she could always take a shortcut and beat them there. But if they didn't go for that death trap, Laire's groceries would spoil and she would be very angry.
She turned the corner at the next crossroads, making sure the two could not see her. "#2626866 Reporting: targets have been spotted," she said into a mobile phone. "Additional surveillance is requested, but I can deal with them without help."

"Yes, that's why I was thinking about it." She jumped over the side and landed on her feet. "If I'm correct though. That's probably where she's heading." Ruedra stood up straight and waited for Kaige to jump down.

He flipped off the top of the wall and landed next to her. His sensitive ears heard radio static.
"She's called reinforcements...."
He continued runing and appraoched the tunnel. He hoped Laire wouldn't be determined enough to follow.
