Alex couldn't help but feel that he had perhaps said or did the wrong thing yet again. Yin was a little bit cranky, it would seem, and when he began to transform, Alex's eyes widened as he expected the worst.
OH Jack, oh jack, oh jack, he hates me and he's going to destroy me now, oh jack.... was playing on repeat in his mind as he backed up slowly from the weremantis in his natural form until he was pressed up against the door. The worst part was when Yin turned around and was able to look Alex directly in the eyes, and the way he hissed. It was really really cool, but it was also really really frightening.
"I--I'm sorry Yin..I just thought I could hel---" He didn't even manage to get the full sentence out though, before Yin had turned away and began moving.
Alex took a few shuffling steps to follow, seeing that even in his natural form, Yin was faltering in his movements, and just didn't seem quite right. But the weremantis was just going too fast, and was not bothering to slow down and wait for the zomboil.
That hurt just a little bit.
He stopped, and looked after Yin's disappearing form morosely, then, with a heavy sigh, turned to push his way back out into the snowy cold, and back towards the school.
