Virtus looked at Shalott with wide eyes.

"Really?"

He smiled brightly. So he could do his job and serve his queen, and all he had to do was make sure she didn't catch him. That was a very nice gesture, and he was more than thankful for her letting him go without a sound beating or worse. He knew she could probably have bashed his face in if she wanted to.

It was nice that she didn't want to, though!

He seemed to forget their fight and bounced at her, giving her a tight hug before he scuttled back and smiled sheepishly.

"I'm sorry we won't see each other again, but thank you!" He said, feeling delighted that he didn't have to hurt her to get out of the situation. Sure, he'd been told to, but this just worked out so much nicer. And he was much more a fan of that than the random flailing he called fighting. He didn't want to push his luck, and he quickly hurried off.

He'd continue his energy hunt elsewhere, where Shalott wasn't. Because that was the deal!
