"I usually drink coffee, but I suppose it's not allowed for someone of British blood to turn down tea." She laughed, shaking her head. It wasn't her favorite but, especially in recent times, she was enjoying tea more and more. Coffee was still her preference.
"Oh!"
She moved to the kitchen to get some coffee. Addy remained in her arms, purring softly and cuddling against her. The kitten was perfectly safe and Gently wouldn't let anything happen to her.
Not that anything would, during the short walk from living room to kitchen, but one never knew.
Gently's mothering instincts were kicked into high gear. She needed this little creature to depend on her, because it allowed her to explore a side of herself she was not too sure about. Could she take care of a little life? Even her Lieutenants were feeling that doubt. She wanted to take care of them and fret over them as much as she wanted to push them and make them stronger. In the end, though, all she wanted was to see them succeed and to be proud of them.
That was the best part, anyway.
She got some packets of coffee, ground up, of various kinds. Not the widest selection ever, but she was not too picky. She often grabbed a different pack at the store at random just to try.

"No, it would be a crime. Though if it is coffee you prefer...I'm sure allowances can be made." He offered with a smile to her, mischievous and teasing. "I believe there is a saying about there being an exception to everything, perhaps this is one of those cases." He offered as a way for her to go for the preferred coffee.
Alexandre had never actually bought coffee at the grocery store, staying away from the coffee found there and keeping away from making it when at home. He needed a time, and place, where he had to drink something other than espresso and home was that place.
Watching Gently with the kitten he smiled, he really had done well with the kitten. "Alright, so which do you like the most?" He asked, glancing over the various packets. He didn't know how they tasted, not having ever tried anything from the grocery store so he'd rely on her knowledge and taste buds.
