Rini replied to him affectionately. She always loved to pick on him and tease him. From anyone else, he might feel self-conscious or bad, but it was an act of love from her. There was nothing in all the world that he loved and adored as much as his sister.
He saw the fleeting look of happiness and delight across her face. It seemed to disappear more and more, and stay away. He hated that he didn't know how to make her happy. He wanted to make the world better just for her. "I really won't," he said gently again.
It felt like an iron door was closed on him. She was cutting him out, asking for him to not ask too much. He loved her so he would do it, even though he wanted to press and know what was the matter. She didn't want to talk about and she didn't believe he'd stay. He'd have to prove her wrong.
"That sounds good. How about honey and berries? It seems like they'd taste amazing together dont' you think?"

Riri nodded approvingly at his reply, she knew for the most part that it wasn't fair to ask.... it never really was now, was it? But she couldn't bare the thought of him hating her, pushing her away.... they were littermates, and she really was attached to the guy, bunniness and all as he put it. He was adorable to her, and she didn't want the darkness of the world to corrupt him more.... to take away the spark of light he could see and flood him in darkness permanently... was that so bad?
Probably. But it wasn't about to change. She was the big sister, she was meant to try and protect him. Their mother had told her that much!
Her catlike tail swished from side to side for a moment as she looked around then giggled at his reply. "I bet your right! And that does sound like a good combination!" Her ears twitched as she heard..... buzzzzzzzzzzz..... what could only be described as the BIGGEST grin in the world passed over her lips a moment before she frowned and tilted her head as she realised something. "Eh..... how are you meant to get the honey?" She looked up. Her eyes going up and up until she saw the bee hive up in the tree ahead. She hated admitting defeat but even she was stuck on this one. "Neither of us can fly...." She mused, tilting her and then looking at her brother then back at the tree. As foals they were too small, not that she would admit that out loud or anything, but what if they worked together? "Wanna give me a boost?" After all, she had heard bee's could be nasty.... and she didn't want her partially sighted brother sticking his nose in the bee hive when he couldn't see well and get hurt.
