Tyson

Kiera let go of him and stepped back. He stepped back as well and rubbed the back of his head and tried to distract himself from the awkwardness by looking at his feet. Suddenly, his key disappeared from his hand and so did Kiera's. They were both dumbfounded.

"Wha.. Where did it go?"

Kiera's key reappeared again as she started talking about the creatures again. Then she started poking him with it.

"Ow! Hey! What was that for?!"

Tyson

"Yeah.. But how do I make mine appear again?"

He looked at his hand, and tried to concentrate on it. He opened his fingers, and closed them again. A bright glow, then the key appeared in his hand again.

"Whoa.. There it is. I wasn't even sure what I did. I just kind of.. well.. concentrated. And boom, it appeared."

Kiera sighed and asked what they should do.

"Well I don't know, what else can we do? Wait for more of those creatures to appear again? I'm still confused with this whole key thing.."

Tyson

Kiera suggested if they should go to the hideout.

"Hmm.. Good call. Let's go then."

The sky suddenly turned dark again. More creatures popped out of nowhere and surrounded them. Kiera said that they'll have to fight their way.

"Heh. Bring it!"

He started to hit the crearutures with his key. One by one vanished in black smoke and a heart-shaped object flew up as they vanished. Tyson stared at the object as it floated up and disappeared. He stopped staring when one of the creatures scratched his leg.

"Ack! Take this!"

He swung his key around as it suddenly burst into flames. All the creatures surrounding him vanished.

"Whoa! Did you see that? That was awesome! But how did I.. Let me try that again..."

He pointed his key at one of the creatures and the key shot out a fireball.

"Cool!"

Tyson

He almost hit Kiera with his key.

"Whoops! Sorry about that!"

He turned around and shot out some more fireballs at the creatures. Kiera wondered and asked how he did that.

"Er.. I.. I'm not sure really.. It just like.. well... It kinda felt like it came naturally! Yeah! It felt natural!"

Tyson

Kiera suggested them to go to the library as she finished off the last creature.

"Oh no, not the library.. I hate that place! Nothing half as exciting as this ever happens in there! And do you really think the library has some information about those things? All I know is that place if full of boring flea-infected books!"

Kiera didn't even let him finish as she already sprinted for the library.

"Sigh.. She never listens..."

Her runs after her.

Tyson

They finally arrived at the library but found out that it was closed. He looked at Kiera and she looked upset.

"Whew.. It's closed! What a relief- Uh.. I mean... Aww.. It's closed.. Too bad! Come on then, let's just go back some other time!"

Tyson was relieved that the library was closed and that they didn't have to go in there. But just as he was about to walk away Kiera broke in through the window.

"Whoa, wait.. What do you think you're..."

Kiera said not to worry and that she does it all the time.

"Uh.. Right... Oh well, it won't be as exciting otherwise.."

He shrugged and followed her inside.

Tyson

He looked at the sketch on the first page of the book. It was a spiky-haired boy with strange clothing. He was also holding a key that looked exactly like Kiera's.

"Hey.. Who could this be? And look, he's holding the same key as yours! That might be a good sign..."
