Dakota grinned as she tripped, hitting her butt before snorting.
He jumped up to stare down at before snickering. "I thought you wanted me to wear a skirt, how am I going to do that when your sitting on the ground....By the way your white panties are showing again." He pointed down.

I will end you, she thought, as she pulled herself back onto her feet. His comments about her underwear weren't particularly funny anymore; neither did they really matter. Alynthe was sulky, now, hissing at her impatiently.
Finish itt, the apophis whined. I'm hungry.
Reine slashed at Dakota again, barely scratching him. This was getting annoying..

"You look like your getting tired..." Dakota egged on before cocking his head. In truth, their short little battle was starting to turn into a hit and miss. Whether it was because they both had short swords or because He himself was getting tired, this seemed to be dragging on.
"I know I am...." He went to parry her attack, slicing Chama forward. It went over the top of her head, making the boy grit his teeth. Damn short flat girl.

"Tired?" Reine practically hissed, and Alynthe laughed; clearly her hunter was learning things from her..
"If you are, how about a little nap, hm?" Scowling, she slashed out at him again, ducking under his arm to avoid his attack.
"How about we end this soon." No more mercy, no more playtime; Reine simply didn't have the patience to waste more time than she already had, on a stupid flirt.

Dakota grinned as she swiped under him, thank god for the FEAR barrier as he felt the clash on his side. And god damn her short sword reach, was it bad enough that both of them used short daggers?
"I was thinking the same thing. I get bored with boys anyways." His face shut down like hers did. He was getting really tired and he could feel Chama's fear shield weakening.
"Hope your prepared to bite it." He lift his leg 300 style to kick her back, aiming right for her gut before flipping Chama up.

"Bite this," Reine scowled, holding the swordbreaker behind her, preparing to slash at Dakota again-- but just as she was about to swing her weapon at him, she found herself crashing to the ground from a completely unexpected kick.

The life trainee glared at him as she jumped back up, her grip tightening on her weapon. No way she was going to let him win this.

Dakota's flipping of Chama helped as Reine pushed herself up.
"Going to let me win Reine?" He swung Chama out now, shooting fire. "Chama will like that won't you babe." He smiled as she flared up, shooting the flames out.

She lunged at him, the swordbreaker not slashing this time, but rather stabbing. The jagged edge tore through flesh, and Reine heard Alynthe laughing, again, and a cold chill went down her spine as she pulled the swordbreaker away.
Deep breaths. A short moment of silence, before Reine held the blade out again.
"You're messing with the wrong girl."

Reine sidestepped when he lashed out, but the hit connected anyway and she winced. Clearly she hadn't gotten used enough to calculating these things- how much of the battle was she actually watching, anyway?
Someone- who was it, she couldn't remember now- had warned her against simply swinging her weapon around, and Reine still hadn't learned that lesson.
Sucker.

It seemed Dakota had the same problem as Reine, swinging a weapon around for no reason.
Yeah he was tired, what of it.
He was doing just as well as she was. Which wasn't any good.

"Then let's end it."
Dakota was getting tired, clearly; he hadn't even bothered replying, and Reine glowered at him. Where was the challenge, or even honour, in sparring with someone who simply wasn't in it anymore? At least he was making the effort to attack her, even as his movements slowed, but she wasn't going to take things for granted any more. You couldn't know how a fight would end until you ended it.
Taking advantage of his sloppiness Reine spun around and slashed at him, watching as the ice-crystals from Alynthe's blade crusted around him momentarily. Dakota fell, and for the tiniest of moments Reine was glad- she had won, she had made him pay-- but the silence, the absence of any retort or even sound from Dakota unnerved her, and she backed away from where he lay on the ground, bleeding.
This was like.. that fight with Jerry, when she'd gone too far, again. All her anger and disdain faded, along with the weapon in her hands, and Reine found herself on her knees, desperately checking for any sign of life.
He was still breathing.
