"You can travel with me? I have friends in the south. Tir will gladly use your help I'm sure." Octultus reached out a hand to her shoulder and let his wings lie flat against him.
"I can fly u part way there at least--" he spoke; they were a good deal closer now. Already they had traveled 3/4 the way there by his last measure... only one more day travel and they would be there or close to by the nightfall. On a good tailwind he would get there with her... flying half the way? He was calculating and figuring in his head which put a puzzled expression on his face. His hand fell from her shoulder and one hand subconsciously in his thoughtfulness went to wipe the tears from his eyes.
"Just come with me."

"Can you actually fly now?" She asked, before realizing just what she'd said. A scarlet flush of mortification crawled across her face and she flinched, hard, as if struck. "F-forget I just said that." She whispered, huddling in on herself for a moment before reminding herself that this was her friend and he'd never lay a hand on her in anger. "I-I'm a mess right now, so please...don't take what I say too seriously alright?" She pleaded, gem-like eyes beseeching the Knight to understand.
"You're friend wont mind me living with her until I regain my footing?" She asked, readying herself for a long trek on both foot and wing.

The air was still a moment while she pleaded with him silently. Octultus considered what she said and seeing her blush mae him uncomfortable and he shifted his weight a bit before moving closer to be supportive but not too close as to seem clingy.
He laughed a bit at her saying he could fly in such a questioning manner. He was in fact a strong flyer now...
"Ahaha--Yes--I can fly."
Octultus patted her back gently.
"Come here" he spoke, opening his arms.
"Let me show you."

Though his touch had been gently it still nearly sent Jadus tumbling, even so she staggered and gave him a dirty look. "Just you watch, I'll have you running scared of me again soon..." She muttered to herself as she stepped into his embrace. She knew that flying with two people was always a burden on the one who was flying, but Jadus also knew that she was no where near the weight that a healthy Mare should be.
She cuddled into his warmth, mind already going over how ill she was going to make herself trying to put some weight on. It would going to be rough, going from bread, water, and scraps of meat and cheese, to a real hearty meal like what she'd eaten before she'd been enslaved. But she wasn't a healer for nothing and she'd make it through. Who knew, maybe this friend of his would let her stay there permanently if the need for healing was great enough.
"Tell me about your friend," She asked, breaking the silence that had fallen over them, "The one I'm going to be living with."

Octultus lifted her surprisingly light body and witha bit of a running start and a leap off the edge fo the outcrop they occupied his wings spread far above them and he held her tightly--soaring over treetops as his wings pumped to gain altitude.
He let her get used to the flight sensation before speaking.
"She is a good friend--helped me out quite a few times." He nodded and held her close as his wings were left open to soar near the clouds. Half a day they would have to walk...he could probably make it there but he would be exhausted by that time.
"Her name is Tiri-ithil and she owns the potion shop in the south. regions. Largest one in the land." he spoke highly of her and with good reason because he did owe her his life afterall...anytime she called he was honor-bound to answer.
"We will be ther a while--I wont just leave you alone you know" he chuckled a bit."

"And you don't have to kill yourself to get me there," Jadus quipt back "When we land to walk the distance you will rest and I'll find us something to snack on, alright?" She wasn't going to take no for an answer. The familiar feeling of wind whipping her face woke more memories, including those of her father always being hungry whenever he had to ferry his one of his wingless family members somewhere. "Father was always hungry after a good flight, and you'll be flying for more than half a day, longer if you were flying before you found me."
She closed her eyes and couldn't help but feel as if things were finally starting to go right in her life again. No longer was she a slave and fearing torment from those her Master had employed, but a free Mare safely in the arms of a friend she'd long since thought lost. The Goddess must finally be watching over her to give her such luck.
"I'm alright with potion making. I wasn't ever given all the tools I thought I'd need but I do know a fair bit about herbs. If anything I could always go over her stock and keep an eye on when things are getting low."

Octultus felt her warmth against his chest and it somehow strengthened him. He Hopes to En'I'Elen they will get there without trouble.
"I suppose--If youre feeling well enough," he smiled at her and continued his search for the road below temporarily clouded by forest and greenery as they continued southward.
Hours passed and the Great Star began to fall beyond the haze of the horizon and with it the hopes of his flying the entire way there. She would soon notice and demand he land.... In anticipation he took it upon himself to find fertile-looking land and a quet secluded area to rest inacessible for most travelers and thus safer.
"Ready to get your alnd-legs back?" he joked; his hooves landing on the hard ground below.

"I dare say my land legs are far sturdier than yours." Jadus replied, opening her eyes and glancing around. It was all fine and dandy watching the land zip by, but after a while it lost its appeal, especially when your eyes started to dry out. If she had any lingering doubts as to who this Stallion was, they had all vanished during the course of the flight.
She waited until he had fully touched down before poking at him to let her go. "You go settle down somewhere, I'll find us some food and water. I've had plenty of practice finding things these last few weeks so no jokes about poisoning us okay?"

Octultus let her down on the ground gently. Most did not gain full use of their legs for a few minutes so it was nice to see someone not require him to catch them.
"I can stay here then--its no trouble." he knew better than to argue with her. Even in their flight together he knew she was gaining something lost or nearly lost a long time ago and it pleased him to do as she asked. He had a strange feeling she did not often do that...ask people for things.
he raised his hands in defeat as she told him not to joke and he sat quietly by the rocks and playing with a hanful of flowers let her go off to find something.

Jadus eyed him like one would expect a mother would her errant child prone to causing mischief before nodding and walking off. She glanced back at her friend, making sure that was actually staying put, before starting her search. The first thing she did was find blades of grass long enough to weave a hasty basket with. It was small and wouldn't carry as much as she'd like, but it would do. As she walked she made sure to peer between the roots of trees and under bushes and plucked any mushroom that she spied that could safely be eaten raw. During her search she found a berry bush with a few pitiful berries left on it, the rest having already been stolen away by wildlife. She found a patch of wild carrots, though small they would do well for a snack. The pearl onions she left alone in favor of another berry bush, this one holding plump looking blackberries.
With the addition of the blackberries her basket was full, but she still had the task of finding a container to hold water in. She'd found a small stream, more of a trickle than true running water, but it was clean and fresh, and it had tasted sweet when she'd stopped to sip from it. She searched around a bit longer but had to call it in favor of returning with her bounty. Octultus would just have to follow her if he wanted a drink.
It took her far less time to return to the clearing than it had leaving it, as she made her way back. "I'm back." She called stepping quietly up next to him. "I hope you like mushrooms, carrots, and berries."

By the time she had returned Octultus had made an array of items with the surrounding flowers...a headband and a necklace which he hung on himself and with a goofy smile was laughing at himself...He heard her spoke and turned around covered in blue flowers and green vines...Well, he had to ammuse himself somehow to avoid getting in trouble! His grin was wide and only faded slightly as she spoke.
"Its lright--carrots are good." he took off the necklace and placed it palyfully around her neck as the two sat to enjoy their spoils.
"Didn't find any water did you?" he asked, munching on a mushroom with a carrot in hand.

She knew it was childish but Jadus had stolen all the pitiful looking blackberries and arranged them on the ground in front of her in a smiley face, filling in the gaps with some of the smaller mushrooms. "I did but I couldn't find anything to carry it in without it all seeping away. There was a lot of moss, but I didn't think you'd want to quench your thirst by sucking on it." She smiled at him and nibbled on the end of a carrot. She folded her legs underneath her, the ends of her tail curling around her knees.
Her color had darkened from the white it had been, to gray and black and unidentifiable splotches of brown from all the dirt and dried blood that was caked onto her. Oh she'd tried to wash up a bit at the tiny stream, but all she'd managed to do was spread the grime more evenly. The only true clean color on her now was the flower necklace Octultus had given her. "I can take you there but it really is more of a trickle than a stream and it goes on for a ways in either direction." Idly she wondered if there was a beaver dam blocking the water farther up than she'd traveled. A shaky finger brushed against the petals around her neck before dropping down to prod at her food. She was hungry yes, the side affect of having a small stomach, but she couldn't seem to make herself eat much at the moment.

Octultus gave her the Lion's share fo the food and stretched his wings.
"Good thing I had a big meal before leaving--" he lied happily to amek her feel better. He ate--but in truth when he was on flight missions he never ate too much as it would weigh him down and flying with her would be good enough.
"Besides--Its alright we will be there soon enough," he said with his playful grin, a flower falling from his hair into his chest and eventually down on his bellybutton before hitting the ground.
"You ready to keep going? We should be there soon--" he said with one eye on the horizon.

"You still suck at lying." Jadus said bluntly, but accepted the food nonetheless. She forced herself to consume it all, grimacing at the ache that now settled into her gut. A bit of color caught her attention, dragging it away from the sick feeling threatening to rise up. She watched the flower drift down out of his hair, bumping along his ridges before settling on the ground.
"Only you would pick colors that clash with you." She murmured, recalling some event lost past. A fond smile tugged on her lips as she stood, and scattered the remaining food around for the wildlife.
"I'll hold you to that fact Mr." She replied, waggling a finger at him. It was amazing, only a day with him and already she was feeling less like a slave and more like that Mare she had been, once upon a time.
With a mental snort she stepped up to him and wrapped her arms around him, waiting.

Octultus was happy to see her shoulders fall in a sigh instead of tense up. He was still....fuzzy on her identity...He knew the name but it had been so so long.. His head shook as she grbabbed him; holding on tight.
"Am I that bad?" he grunted with a sigh of exasperation.
Octultus laughed.
"And here I thought I was doung much better with my color coordination!".
His wings spread in the last remaining light but far--somewhere beyond the haze of the dark--he saw the tower's guiding light. Tiri always lit the lantern atop the tower at night to ward weary travelers of her presence and perhaps to guide them...His mind laughed at the thought of Tiri being intentionally nice to travelers and he huffed with a smile creeping across his face.
With a great WHOOOSH they wer headed skyward so much faster than before. The little rest had refreshed him and he felt they could easily fly the remaining distance there. His wings were properly stretched now and evened out the flight to what looked like a flickering star but burning deep purple unlike the stars.
"Second star to the right--" he laughed a bit"--and straight on 'till morning!"
