Jett did not object to the silence as he ate his chocolate covered, nut speckled waffle. He hadn’t much heard her words about Jedi robes and the like; he was too busy thinking about her words. Millicent was too optimistic about the future—and she was too young to understand exactly what she was saying. Her words rang in his ears for a while—that he wouldn’t let his children down.

But Millicent couldn’t know. She was just a child trying to cheer up her friend.
