Sadly, Yuki couldn't enjoy her tea without getting back into the gigai. And that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. It'd been far too long since she'd let herself out and about! to stretch her legs! It felt good not to be all bottled up into a little genie lamp, so to speak. So She just sat down on the floor, sanz pillow or anything, it didn't matter to her. It meant she as closer to Nagi anyway. When he sat down and looked at her gigai in a way that clearly said 'dead body' she chuckled a little again, half surprised he didn't recognize it from five seconds ago when she was inhabiting it.
"Don't look so shocked." She said, her voice flat. Clearly he should know better! He was wearing one too after all! Shaking her head at how dorky he was, with a small smile, she looked down at the teapot and the honey longingly for a moment after speaking, while she waited for him to get settled in for the long storytelling that would inevitably come. It was as if she thought she could animate the teapot into pouring her a cup with her mind if she stared at it long enough.
Unsuccessful in her endeavors she turned back to Nagi, her brows furrowed as she decided weather or not she should get back into her own gigai for the sake of appearances. A decided "******** it" crossed her mind, and she dove straight into the looming questions. She never was one for small talk.
"Why did you leave?"
It was a direct demand more than a question, with a vary matter-of-fact sounding ring to it. She wanted to know the truth, without any excuses. To her, there simply had to be a logical reason behind his leaving. However, the real underlying, implied question that seemed to linger across her eyes for a moment, the one she wanted to ask so badly but couldn't, as she stared up at the love of her life was: 'without telling me'.

Nagi let out a breath. He knew this was coming but there was still nothing in the world that could prepare him for it. The pulse I his chest sped up as he dove within himself for the answer.
“I’m sure you remember the time when Buru had broken into the Seireitei and took you away from us before our very eyes.” He stated, “The Captain General did not want me to go on the rescue mission but I disobeyed his orders and went anyway. It wasn’t fair that you got involved because of me. I’m not sure why, but I felt that this had all happened to me before and it infuriated me. I was terrified of losing you. Then there was him…”
Nagi’s blue eyes stared coldly at his hands at this point. This recap of events made something stir inside him that made him feel slightly uncomfortable. Was it remorse? He stared for a moment only to realize that his hands were shaking.
“Buru used to be a friend, then a captain, then an enemy.” Now his voice was shaking, much to his embarrassment, but the words kept coming. “He had a darkness inside him that he couldn’t escape from and I failed to realize it until it was too late. I know I killed him in cold blood. I was no different than he was at that point because in the moment, I enjoyed it. My perception had changed since that day. Everyone was so focused on fighting and violent means, and it was drawing me in as well and it scared me even more. All I could think about was turning into him and hurting you. It wasn’t until an arrancar broke my Zanpakuto that I came to a realization that there was a way for me to exist in peace. It was like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. I suppose I had also forgotten myself in the process; my purpose for being in Soul Society. I am aware that the job of a shinigami is not easy, especially one for rank, but I don’t think it’s the life for me. No more killing...”
Up to this point, he realized that the cause of his quivering frame was not due to fear, but to a bit of anger and frustration at himself. Sure, it was all okay if all this was just locked away and forgotten but letting it out was a whole different monster he now stood up against. The whole thing sounded a lot different in his head where it made sense to him but now he was beginning to question his own logic. This was just the outer layer concealing the real truth- his failure to take responsibility.
Pausing to exhale, he looked up to meet Yuki’s eyes. He now wore a smile, but a sad one.
“It’s cowardly… I know.” He admitted, still rolling with the word vomit emitting from his mouth. In the least, he figured it would be best to just let the layers peel away bit by bit. “I assumed that everyone would forget about me and move on. That was a mistake considering it was a selfish way of thinking. At the time, I didn’t know how to tell you let alone say goodbye.”
At this point, he was prepared for the lashing that awaited him. He was used to the pain of guilt. However, he'd never forget the horrible feeling, the worst pain he had ever felt, when he used his Bankai against his old friend. How lonely and tragic of a man Buru had been. No more killing...

Yuki remembered finding Nagi as she slowly walked out of the heat of combat, having escaped Buru's grasp with a definitive blow. It had been a hard won battle, and that strike had taken some planning. In the end she had still felt cheated as he left with most of his dignity intact, whereas she had to leave some of hers behind. But now that she thought about it, when she had left and picked up Nagi on the way out in a sort of reverse-damsel-saving she had never gotten the full story of what happened to HIM while he went on the rescue mission. She had never considered that going after her had been forbidden, even though it should have been obvious as soon as she saw him. It was against the rules of the Soul Society to barter with terrorists. The should have left her for dead and lined up the next prospective Captain for her now vacated spot.
He had loved her enough to damn himself to the same fate. To sacrifice his arm to save her. Of course it made sense that he didn't have the courage to tell her goodbye! He'd rather lose an arm, then tell her that! But at the same time, it begged the question.
"Then why didn't you take me with you?"
The question wasn't half as demanding this time, she could see he was hurting. His hands shook with such violence she was surprised that he hadn't knocked over the tea kettle yet by accident, as he was always want to do anyway with a steady hand. She placed her hand over his, in a small attempt to calm him a little, bring him back to the present. She looked at his eyes fiercely, wanting to know more than anything what he had been thinking. What drove him to such desperate measures.
She watched him, as he explained his hopes of people simply getting over him. Ignoring him, and letting him go. How could he think she would just let him escape like that?! Nagi himself had surrendered a limb to get her back, why would he think she wouldn't do the same?! Even as his face turned from scarlet to a light tint of green at an almost hilariously fast pace she couldn't understand that. She slapped him across the face. A solid strike, but not intended to do more than smart. If she wanted to hurt him, he'd already be begging for mercy.
"What in the seven hells would make you think I'd EVER forget you? That I'd EVER leave you behind?" A pause, she looked down, frustration apparent in her face.Mentally she railed on him. Shouting at him, hating him for leaving, for underestimating her. For caring so much about her and expecting so little in return. Selfless and cowardly, all in one package. But she couldn't hate him. She couldn't yell at him. After so long of being apart from him, and searching the ends of the earth for him, she just couldn't.
Looking away from his hand, where she had been staring at as she fumed she inched towards him around the edge of the table. Unable to look at him for how much she wanted to hate him, yet couldn't. She wanted so badly to be close to him. To be held by him once more, she pressed her back up against his side, and glared determinedly at the wall. As if she could direct her hatred there, let it all out away from him, and that would make everything better.

Nagi wasn’t at all surprised to be struck after his final words. She was obviously furious with him, yet the handprint on his cheek wasn’t as red as it should have been. This was very much like her- using false anger as her way of showing sadness or pity. He didn’t blame her in the least for this. In fact, he felt as though she should have hit him harder. However, it was enough to bring him to his senses a little more. His hands were no longer shaking and the throbbing in his chest subsided.
He could sense that she was determined to avoid him now and for some reason he found this to be a challenge and it made him feel slightly stronger inside.
“I didn’t want you to abandon your life.” He admitted with a confident tone. As he said this, his rigid frame relaxed a bit. “You had a good life with no reason to leave it behind. So many depended upon you, admired you, and your power was comparable to none. You were the strength of the Gotai 13 in leadership and vigor. If they lost you, they’d fall apart and lose their way. I didn’t want that to occur on the count of my betrayal. To be a deserter is to be a traitor. It is a life of hiding and solitude. This wasn’t the life for you and you don’t deserve it.”
At this point, he didn’t care if she refused to look at him or even pay attention to what he said. Bringing an arm around her shoulders, he pulled her closer to him and rested his head lightly on hers. How he missed embracing another like this. Especially her. In all his years of living in the land of the living, not a single girl caught his attention nor did he pay any heed to shallow woman who suggested the idea of being together for just a night. This was mostly due to the lack of interest. Somewhere in the back of his mind, Yuki was always the only woman for him and that was never going to change. Even if he didn’t think he’d ever see her again.
“Please, understand that I had no intention of putting you through this.” He said in a quiet tone. “I was a fool to not think that far ahead. If I was certain that you’d spend so much time trying to find me I wouldn’t have left. I would have rather of faced the captain general and accepted my punishment than to pain you.”

She couldn't speak to him for a moment. If only he knew how true his words rang, exactaly how many people depended on her, and how powerful she had become over the short time that she had stayed in the Soul Society waiting for him. If only he knew how hard it had been without him.
Nagi was referring to her position as squad 13 captain. The Divine Defenders of the whole Seireitei. She was in charge of guarding everyone down to the last child, and they depended on her strength to get them through the toughest times. When he had left she was second only to the Captain Commander, Daven. What he didn't know was that shortly after he left, Daven had fallen. Then Yuki became the Captain Commander. She could have forgiven everything. They could have had a life together. But instead he left and never came back. The golden age that would have ensued under their reign would have been glorious, and many people still expected such gold of her. The pressure had been unbearable, and it drove her to the brink if insanity.
Oh, if only he knew.
The silence Streached for a long moment Yuki looked up at the ceiling for a moment as she thought about what a terrible tragedy they had fallen into. Like Romeo and Juliet, except they started dead rather than ended up dead. Nagi finished off his speech with one of the corniest, most cliche'd lines in history, and Yuki's shoulders relaxed a little with a soft laugh. Even though it was terribly overused, it warmed her heart to hear how much he loved her again, after so many years. As he wrapped his arm around her, a little wave went through her belly. It was like falling in love all over again in fast forward. She could feel his cool touch even through her shirt, and she leaned back against him, and it felt like back in the good old days. Closing her eyes and taking a calming breath she reached to hold his hand and sit in peace for several moments. Her anger slowly left as she sat there, unable to stay angry at the love of her life for more than a few moments.
"Will you come home with me?"
Even though she didn't tell Nagi about all that had happened since he'd left, that she could remove the price on his head with a simple phone call, her voice rang with confidence that couldn't be mistaken for anything else. Yuki had taken years of her life to find him, and damn it! She was going to spend the rest of those years with him.

Feeling Yuki’s anger fleeting, Nagi felt the utmost relaxation and bliss he hadn’t felt in a long time. When she leaned into him, he took the heat of her touch, her small frame, and the scent of her hair. Although they were technically sitting on two plains of existence, he in a physical body and her not so much, the memories of their time together made this moment all too real. After all these years it still amazed him that such riatsu existed in such a physically fragile looking person- A riatsu that would probably turn the tea house into rubbles in the blink of an eye. He entertained the interesting thought- a mushroom cloud resulting in a crater ten blocks wide. Then there was all those times she handed his a** to him and yet they always ended up like this in the end. How wonderful nostalgia was.
She then asked the question.
Cue mushroom cloud.
His eyes flickered open and his tongue immediately retreated to the back of his mouth. He sat quietly for a moment, trying desperately to comprehend the idea of returning to Soul Society- the life he abandoned. She had called it “home”, which struck him harder than he could imagine. He had no idea how to answer her in a way she would immediately understand.
Perhaps the whole situation played out much worse in his head, but he still didn’t know for sure. He had made a life here; a peaceful, relaxed existence with no fighting, paperwork, or the risk of taking lives. Then again, a life with Yuki was any life worth living. He had always known of the differences between them yet it always worked out so well. She was fire, he was ice. She melted away his coldness, and he cooled down her rage. It only made sense to him that they were together… forever. He stood there at a cross-road now and both ways looked very appealing to him. The scales of importance were balanced.
Was it possible to have both?
It was at that moment that a thought occurred to him. “Before I answer your question…” he said, “I want to know how you're doing and what happened after I left.”

To say that she was unsatisfied with the response given would be an understatement. Yuki was always direct to the point, even if that meant going through, people, buildings or mountains to get there without taking the long road. What Nagi had done was asked her to take a long and detoured route to the answer she wanted, and that simply wouldn't do. Her head snapped around to look up at him with her brows furrowed, partly in frustration and partly in confusion as to why he wouldn't answer. It was rare that he beat around the bush like this, and she was having none of it.
"You don't have to go."
A hard jerk on the chain back to her question. She was clearly not going to let this go without a fight. After a moment of silence she turned back around to lean into him. She was unsure how her past would help him decide weather or not to leave, so all she saw was a stalling tactic.
"I won't leave you if you don't come with me.... I didn't spend all this time looking for you just to let you go again." Her words carried a small smiling tone. Even though she had spent the last few years going to the ends of the earth and back again, it had never truly felt like home. Perhaps that was because she was missing Nagi, or the gigai that didn't quite fit right; But Yuki had a sneaking suspicion that it was because she was dead, and this simply wasn't her plane of existence anymore. How Nagi could stand this plane was a mystery to her. Watching others grow old and die around you, never getting sick or ageing. Humans felt so frail to her now. It was like she was a vampire walking among humans, unable to fully sympathize with them like she once had because of their slight differences.
If he didn't come with her, that was his choice. She could visit every day if she chose, now that she knew where to find him, and both could live in comfort.
Or perhaps she would find happiness, with him, even though she didn't really belong anymore. Who, after all, really felt like they belonged anywhere? Only time would really tell.
"I'll have plenty of time to tell you all about what's been going on with me in a minute. I won't disappear into thin air if you say no." She leaned forward only to bump back into him in a playful way, punctuating how silly he was being for thinking things like that.

Nagi smiled. “Stubborn as always I see.”
He took the playful gesture as a sign of relief. How she ever put up with him was still a mystery. He entertained the thought of playing stubborn: to say “Nope, answer my question first or no candy for you…” But he didn’t want to chance pushing her buttons too much. He actually enjoyed the talking. It had been so long since he had another to have a real conversation with let alone saying what was on his mind. The odd part was, this interaction was bringing fourth an ability he had forgotten about for a long time. It was faint, but he could almost detect Yuki’s emotions emitting from her riatsu. It was a mixture of happiness and irritation, which was quite the odd combination but was also something she had been famous for- mixing completely opposite emotions into one. This was one of the things he had loved her for the most. Sensing this from her was like a breath of fresh air. This made him give in.
“The reason why I asked was because I wanted to know how hard it was for you.” He admitted, pulling her in closer, almost onto his lap. “I am more concerned about what you want to do because I don’t want to be selfish as to make this whole thing about me. I am already ashamed of the fact I never considered your feelings back then. But to answer your question I can say that I have no intention about returning back to Soul Society. I didn’t have much of a human life to begin with when I was alive, and now that I’m here, I can experience it all over again and actually remember this time. The idea of “home” is different to us. I would ask you to stay with me but I don’t want you to say yes if you wouldn’t be happy here. I want to know how you felt about it in all the time you were here looking for me. That and how much you missed Soul Society, or how much it missed you. I don’t even know if you were content there either.”
He let out a small laugh as an idea struck him. It was so genius that even he surprised himself for coming up with it. There was a way for a shinigami and a human to co-exist. “Do you… want to stay in Soul Society?” he asked in a smooth tone, almost teasing.

A smirk crossed her face as he pronounced her stubborn, as if to excuse her for it, as if it was a problem and not a charm. He pulled her backwards, bringing her closer, and she pushed herself up into his lap. The feeling of him all around her was glorious, and almost intoxicating. She still couldn't feel his Riatsu, which was the only imperfection in this whole reunion now, but having his arms all around her was close enough for now. As he continued to explain and answer her question, she rested her against his chest and pulled him close. The peace she felt was so complete, that when Nagi finished his speech, she hardly noticed. Sure she heard it, both in his chest before he spoke it, and outwardly around her. Now that she had gotten her answer, Yuki was about to tell him about her time away from him, to answer his question in return, when he laughed. She looked up at him with a content smile on her face, happy to have an excuse to wait a moment longer before opening up old wounds again.
"Do you.... Want to stay in Soul Society?" "Yes."
The answer was definite and quick. She did want to go back to the Soul Society, even if that meant just hanging around the Rukongai for a while. She was dead, and she wanted to be dead and at peace for a while. She had worked for all of her life, and most of her afterlife. Yuki wanted her slice of peace and rest that had been promised to her upon death.

His smile widening, Nagi was glad and also pleasantly surprised to get a direct answer. Then again, he would have deserved it if she didn’t, considering he was famous for avoiding such things. He found her stubbornness often to be cute but he loved her direct nature just as much. She’d either be one, or the other. He knew better than to expect anything when it came to her actions. She was so unpredictable that it was delightfully frustrating.
He had been so nervous and excited to see her again that he realized that perhaps he was talking a little too much. He decided to watch himself so he didn’t end up saying something stupid. Given his track record, it was bound to happen.
“Sorry, I should have waited to ask you that.” He chuckled.
Figuring it was safe for just a little while, Nagi used a free hand to remove something tiny from his pocket and put it into his mouth. Upon swallowing, there was a flash and the physical body was thrown backward, slumped unto the tetami like a murder victim. The lap that Yuki now sat upon was that of a man in black Saifuku. It was similar to the old shihaksho he used to wear in his days as a shinigami; however, the sleeves were wider and longer with broad white cord stitched around the hem. The outer coat (referred to as an "on-sai-i”) was longer and wasn’t tucked into his hakuma like it used to be. Since this was the first time in a long while Nagi reverted back to his spiritual form, he took no notice to the changes.
Instead, he held Yuki a little tighter with his left arm.
“I would like to hear your story.” He said, knowing they didn’t have much time left. Certainly Babba would come looking for him. The thought of her finding his and Yuki’s old lady gigai lying on the floor as if it were a joint suicide amused him a bit. “But you’re right, I can wait a little longer.”
He wanted to sit here forever and not let her go for an instant. Then again, he had the evening to look forward to if she planned on sticking around that long. Something told him that she might.
…My apartment is a mess though. he thought to himself, a little embarrassed.

Yuki's only response to his apology was to nuzzle his chest a little and squeeze him more tightly. She didn't mind the question at all, especially when she thought it was obvious enough that she wanted to leave to the Soul Society by asking him to come home. If he needed clarification, that was fine, she was blunt about truths anyway.
Yuki glanced over as Nagi popped one of the soul candies into his mouth. Watching the gigai fly backwards with the force of a small explosion was more than a little amusing. Seeing it ragdoll into the corner like a cheep video game effect was even more hilarious. But the thing that made her smile was neither of those things. She now sat in Nagi's real lap, and even though he had changed somewhat, the cool current of Riatsu that washed over her and surrounded her hadn't. It still had the calming peaceful effect it always had over the hot-headed shinigami... woman.
She held him tightly for a few moments that seemed to stretch into eternity. A blissful long eternity, that was eventually broken by his voice. She sighed with contentment. Now she was ready to tell her story. Shaking her head against his chest in response, to let him know that it was time to settle in for the long story. she wiggled a little in his lap to get more comfortable.... And also as a little reminder to herself of all the pleasant memories they had in this exact position.
"I was promoted to Captain Commander shortly after you left. I had nothing after that." She paused for a moment, trying to remember the details. It had been so long ago. And she had tried so hard to forget. "They wouldn't even let me keep my Vice Captain... Either of them. I had no one" Her voice got sadder as she remembered more, as she went on, but only slightly. It was more her riatsu that would give it away. "Everyone expected me to be the best. I lead second to their most glorious time, and then thirteenth, so it was only natural that I should bring such peace to the whole soul society when it too was placed in my hands." A pause, she looked down. "But without anyone to support me, to help me let off steam at the end of the day, or care for me.... how was I to care for anyone else?... I went crazy for a time..."
This pause was much longer. In her mind she remebered how dull and numb she felt every day. and how no emotion could reach her behind the wall of reason and paperwork that she was buried beneath by simple day to day activity. Eventually she had resorted to violence. Combat was the only way she could feel anything. Only when adrenalin flooded her brain did she awaken from her dull waking-slumber. Yuki shivered a little in Nagi's grip as she remembered how she was beaten into the dirt every day by her disciple, Fefnir Kamashiro. It had been worse for him though. After she was able to feel again, and became sane she tore him apart in that same instant. Her own sick twisted form of 'thanks' to him. Neither of them could go on like that. She didn't want to tell Nagi just yet, for fear of him shunning her for what she had done. She continued, glossing over it, as if it were only a footnote to be ignored.
"and eventually left. Not only to find you, but to find peace in myself again."
Her voice sounded truly sad now, as she looked down at her own lap in memory. All of the terrible things she had done. The horrible person she had become. Fefnir might never recover from all the damage she dealt to him in that time. She never wanted to be that person again, so she held tight to Nagi, her love, her grounding in sanity.

Hearing that Yuki had been the Captain General for a time made Nagi almost want to laugh. His punishment for abandoning the Soul Society would have been interesting nonetheless. The fear he held for it was certainly reasonable. All the while, he was sad to hear that he wasn’t able to see Yuki at the height of her leadership. He was incredibly proud of her though from the first day he saw her, he wouldn’t have been surprised at all to see it coming.
But the more she went on, the more his heart sank. The emotion emitting from her was certainly telling most of the story. Such a strong sadness it was. Had he known what she went through he would have returned in a heartbeat, just to be by her side. He would have given up the title of Captain of his division in an instant and become her Lieutenant if he had to. It was difficult for him to imagine her being alone. There were many shinigami who supported and befriended her but by the sound of things, they had abandoned her too.
As he listened to more, he began to notice that behind her feeling of sadness there was something else. It was a familiar feeling that he knew all too well. For reasons he did not yet understand, she was guilty for something. This was what was hurting her so. As much as he wanted to inquire about it, he decided not to say anything as of yet. Nagi was a person of patience. Right now wasn’t the time.
Now it was all in the past. There was nothing he could do to fix it now. It was always his wish to unmake time and manipulate the series of events that led up to now, but such a feat was impossible. There was one thing he had going for her and himself and that was the future. He was never going to abandon her again. Never again was he going to have regrets.
“To take on so much responsibility alone must have been hard on you.” He sighed. He didn’t want to apologize but it only felt right to. “I’m so sorry.”
After saying this, he leaned down and gently kissed her forehead. “I will never leave you again. You have my word.”

There where no words for Yuki anymore, she was lost in thought and memory for a few moments. Sadness and shame clouded her mind, and she clung to Nagi tighter, as if he could make it all go away. A silly thought at best, it made her even more ashamed of herself. Yet still she couldn't let go. As he apologized and told her he'd never let her go, some of the tension left her chest. She sighed, relaxing a little, but still keeping a death grip on her lover, as if he would disappear into thin air.
Then came the kiss.
Sure it was a small one, but it sent a shockwave through her. It had been so long since she had been kissed at all. If touching Nagi, feeling his riatsu again, didn't convince her that she had found him that kiss certainly had. Her head snapped upwards to look him in the eyes for a moment, and hear those words again. "I will never leave you again. You have my word." Like something out of a dream the words from so long ago came flooding back to her. He once promised his afterlife to her... or Tenchi did... Someone did... she hardly remembered it was so long ago, with almost those exact words. As she pulled him down towards her, bringing him into a kiss she spoke quietly.
"I promise to never let you go again."
With that she pulled him into a deep kiss. Wave after wave of pure joy washed over her as she remembered with frightening exactitude what it felt like to be loved once more. To have someone genuinely care about you, and for a moment, she was lost in the extacy of it.
Sadly the moment was short lived. Yuki didn't even hear the soft shuffling footsteps of the Tea shop's owner as she shuffled towards their little private corner. Even her quick sharp raps against the private door went unnoticed. It was only when the old woman opened the door to the room, loudly demanding that Nagi get back to work because his break time was up did Yuki look up.
Then Babba-san screamed.

Here it was. The perfect moment, just the two of them, lips locked in long awaited passion, and then it happened- their moment of bliss shattered into a hundred pieces from the decibels of Babba’s shrieking.
Nagi, terrified out of his wits, almost jumped up but remembered that Yuki was still on his lap and managed to quickly gain control of himself. The results would have been pretty unfortunate. Instead, he held onto her tightly as he stood up, helping her to her feet as well. His heart was still pounding. In fact it was attempting to beat its way out of his ribcage and stuff itself into Babba’s mouth to silence her. He knew they were busted. How was he going to explain to her what she saw? Then again, she didn't see EVERYTHING. It had been so long that Nagi was in his spirit form that he forgot that normal people couldn't see them. So he only had half the explaining to do.
His mind still racing, he glanced back at Yuki, leaned down, and gave her a quick kiss before saying “It was worth it anyway.” He jumped backward, landing back into his Gigai like it were some feathery bed. If only it were, that is. The landing had been a little hard, as his gagai jerked somewhat violently as his soul re-entered it.
Looking as though he had woken up from a violent sleep, Nagi sat up and looked at Babba with wide eyes. “Wow. I am so sorry!” He exclaimed apologetically, holding his hand to his head. He hated to lie but there was no other way. “I must have added too much passion flower to this tea and fell asleep!”
He was internally thanking himself for his knowledge in tea making. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have had a single clue what to say. Lying would usually put him in jitters but the moment with Yuki made him completely relaxed.
Then again, he may as well go upstairs, get his things, and go somewhere else by the way Babba was glaring daggers at him.
“Is she dead?” the woman said bluntly while pointing at Yuki’s gigai. “You add too much, kill older woman!”

Yuki felt Nagi jump a little in his seat and held onto him tightly so she wouldn't get knocked through the table. Thankfully, he managed to keep himself in check, picking her up nicely and helping her stand. She almost felt like a bride being carried away, even though the moment was short lived. With another quick kiss she watched him dive into the dead-body that was his gigai and spew out some worthless excuse that only the most senile of woman would believe.
Thankfully they where dealing with the most senile old woman...
Yuki let out a nervous laugh as the woman seemed to accept it as truth without even a second thought. Slowly she inched back into her own gigai, shaking her head and chuckling nervously. Her re-immersion back into her own body was a little less jarring than Nagi's had been. She sank down slowly, and hit the floor with a dull thud. The body barely moved as she reanimated it. She chose not to look up or stand up quite yet, but help give Nagi's story some credence.
She let out a loud snore and mumbled a bit, taking heavy breaths to mimic sleep a little better. It sounded terribly fake to Yuki, but hopefully the other two would find it more convincing. Babba, while a little deaf, seemed to hear her well enough, and huffed her disapproval at Nagi before storming out, yelling something about watching his brews and getting back to the kitchen.
Yuki looked up and did her damnedest not to laugh at him. It was one of the silliest lies she had ever heard, and she couldn't believe it worked. Happily she maintained her dignity, and only let out a little giggle as she stood up to walk over to Nagi. She offered her old lady hand to help him up. Her posture no longer held the bow of age. She no longer needed to keep that charade up, not around him.
"I'll just wait for you here..."
She wasn't sure if she could just bum in this room all day, or even when he got off work. Yuki looked back at the tea, that was stone cold by now and wondered what she would even do in the room all day. It seemed like a terribly boring prospect.
