"Er . . . N-Not want touch ghoul's things." ovo Mort just sorta stood there, hands in pockets. If Taryn said she was good without pants, he'd believe her. And if she wanted to get in Roch's pants, well . . . Wait. That came out wrong. Agh. Well either way he wasn't really useful either, since i wasn't like he had much in the way of warm clothes; undead preferred low temperatures anyway.
"Mrrr . . . Scarf, yes!" Mort nodded to Roch. "Stuff l-like that, should work. Taryn, h-has jar r' somethin'?"

"No, thank you..."
There was no way that Taryn was wearing Roch's pants. Not ever. As long as she didn't fall again she would be fine in her skirt. Finally from the closet she pulled an airtight glass jar and held it aloft. "We might be able to fit a scarf in here..." It might be easier to break a piece off, though. Maybe even stuff some snow in... "They have to be getting in somehow..."

"Hey," Roch said abruptly, proving that he wasn't completely a moron, "You remember how there was the stop in the music, then the cranking underground? I expected something to come up or break or whatever, but all that happened was the music started again and the... attackers came out funny. Like the slug? His voice--voices, I don't think they were like that before. I mean the ballerina and the snow guys and the teddy bear, they all had one voice, not two."

"Like Red," Mort added thoughtfully. "Like Insanity, like Haunter House battle." The Red-Beast had had blue eyes and spoke with dual-voices, he remembered. And then he made a face. "Don't . . . th-think Insanity is c-c-contagious, right?"
He still had paranoid theories that the Hunters had something to do with this, but for now he kept that quiet.

So they had noticed! Eager to get the boils out of her room, Taryn headed for the door again. "So it wasn't only me. What changed them, and what does it have to do with the music, I wonder?" The ghoul fiddled with the lid on her jar as she stood outside the door, waiting for Mort and Roch to leave before locking it behind them. What if there had been a creature in there, watching, waiting, and now stuck in her room...

"Well I will tell you one thing," Roch said as he stepped out of the room. "They weren't hunters. No matter what form the hunter is in, they aren't that... jackin' moronic," he said finally. "I don't know what's going on," he went on, reaching for Taryn's hand. He was starting to move better, which was good. "But that cranking noise... it meant something big had happened..."
Then he scowled. "Jack, I almost think we need to go down in the tunnels, but--" He seriously hated the tunnels, and there was no way he was taking Taryn down there.

(( Joining the PRP with permission from the others! <3 ))
Tsetsiliya had been wandering around the monster dorms since the showdown at Temes' dorm. With the yeti's defeat, everyone seemed to have gotten scattered in the aftermath, and the demoness found herself wandering around alone. Where had everybody gone? Reasonably, she should have headed back towards the theater; wasn't that where everybody would head, anyway? She had no reason to be scared of being on her own. After all, she was a Knob, a second year student - to be such a thing was shameful, wasn't it?
But that did not change the truth that she was scared to be without others around her.
So, here she was, wandering the dorms in hopes that the others would circle back. She made the rounds, still gripping one of the nutcrackers from the battle in front of her (just as she had gripped the mace she'd wielded on the island). And it was in this fashion that she found Taryn, Mort, and Roch.
Well, more like dashed right into the poor zombie boil.
"A-ah.. !!" she squealed, disentangling herself quickly from the boil and expecting to find an enemy. Instead Tsetsiliya's eyes just widened for a moment, before her lips formed a nervous smile. "M-Mort, Roch! Taryn! Aah, I am sorry, are you alright?" She frowned concernedly at the zombie boil. She hoped she hadn't hurt him or startled him too badly in her panic. The poludnica was very happy to see them though, even though she didn't know Roch too well, all three of them were a welcome sight.

Taryn easily offered her hand again and gravitated toward her warmer counterpart. She was rather glad for the little involuntary shift when someone came plunging down the hall and directly into Mort. She could only give a surprised "oh!" as she lunged away, clinging to the reaper momentarily until she saw just who it was.
"Tset! We're fine-- how are you?!" The mention of tunnels was ferreted away for later when there were less pressing matters at hand.

Roch blinked, not sure he recognized this ghoul at all... maybe from groanspring? Yeah, yeah he was pretty sure he'd talked to her on that. But either way he let the others speak, his fingers lacing with Taryn's, not having a clue that that would look as if something more was going on between the two of them.

"I-I am fine," Tsetsiliya replied, clutching the nutcracker to her like a security blanket. She took a breath and got a hold on her emotions; she was a Knob. There were others here and there was no need to be nervous, and she certainly was not about to let on how nervous she had been (unless one of them were to look at her hands and how tightly she held the nutcracker). "I am glad you are all safe." The ghoul glanced down both ends of the hall and finally allowed herself to creep closer to the group.
"I have been here for a while.. are any of you knowing what is going on?" An honest question, and one she hoped would be supplied with an answer. Or at least some ideas.

"Tunnels - ?"
And that was all Mort would get out before he was knocked backwards by a certain demon. Limbs flailing a bit, he prepped for another fight - well, at least until he noticed the figure had no grey and blue, or burning JOY emanating off her. Once Taryn said the ghoul's name, Mort relaxed, straightening back up and pushing his glasses back in place. "H-Hey," he greeted with a little smile. "Still h-has cracker nut, eh? Good weapon." At least they had been during the yeti battle!
"Th-Think Christmas creatures taint with stuff, g-gonna get sample." He pointed to the jar in Taryn's hand. "W-Wan help?"

Taryn shook her head. They really didn't know more than anyone else, as much as they had tried. Capturing a beast (or a piece of a beast) was a good step in the right direction, though, and if they continued to search the barrier they would certainly find something. She still held the jar in her hands, wary that something may attack at any moment, and smiled softly to Tset, not realizing that the ghoul had probably never seen her hold anyone's hand.
"Yes, stay with us!" she urged, nodding hard, "We'll be safer in a larger group..."

She... fought with a toy. She looked like a... what, demon? Undead? Hell if he knew. But they were right about having more fighters, and he wasn't going to be as great of a protector as he would hope to be. Roch gave Tset a slight grin.
"Yeah, the more the better. If there's only a few of us we're easier to separate. That happened to Taryn and me earlier." His hand tightened on Taryn's for a brief second. "But if we're goin, let's get goin," he finished. "Should we head towards the barrier again, see if we can't find an exit while we're looking for a victim?"
He started down the hall, tugging at Taryn's hand.

Samples? Collecting a piece of the enemy? Tsetsiliya had to hand it to them - they were certainly more proactive than she had been! It sounded like a solid enough plan to her, and she looked from Mort to Taryn, and nodded slowly.
"Y-yes, I am thinking I will." She returned Taryn's smile with a nod, still cradling the nutcracker in her arms. "Thank you.. hopefully I am being of use." The very last thing she wanted to do was to bring down their group. This time she resolved to be a productive member of her team! Nothing like how she had been on the island, nor in the haunted house. Seize the day!
"That is sounding good to me," she replied to Roch, and as the group began to move, she could not help but notice the reaper tugging at Taryn's hand. A smile ghosted her lips. It seems that this attack was bringing students together in more ways than one!

Holding hands was probably a good idea, Mort suddenly thought. What if the Christmas creatures got clever and tried to separate them? He was just fine with the cold, but the others he had to wonder . . . Ah, the cost of having a beating heart! With Roch and Taryn tearing ahead, he turned to Tset and . . . The nutcracked stared at him eerily.
Eech. After seeing a larger one take out Roch's "nuts", Mort wasn't keen on touching even a regular one. "Come, come," he told her, grasping her shoulder instead and moving forward in his shambling sort of way; depending on how thin or thick the poludnica's clothes were, she might feel a semblance of the cold hand on death.
