Roarke was disheartened to see the mare flee from him so quickly. He hoped that wouldn't become a trend, he wasn't sure what he'd do if all the mares started running from him. Still, he silently wished her luck in her future endeavors before turning back around to face the stallion who seemed to be enjoying himself far too much. What kind of cretin got off on bullying girls? Apparently this one and from the sounds of it he was planning on doing it again and soon.
Not on Roarke's family's land he wouldn't. This place was protected and while he couldn't follow this fellow around indefinitely he could at least keep a close watch on him for a day. After that Roarke just hoped some other guardian took over watching him.
"I don't understand." Roarke said crossing the few steps that separated them. "Why don't you show me?" He wore a cheeky grin as he spoke well aware that this would probably annoy the white stallion to no end.

Lycoris kept running until it felt like her heart was going to explode in her chest. At the crest of a hill she came to stop and stood panting and listening. It hadn't sounded like anyone had been following her but how would she know? She couldn't hear anything over the thundering of her hooves, the pounding of her heart and the rush of wind in her ears. Not to mention the general clatter and crashing of snapping foliage and shifting stones that had accompanied her. To her great fortune she didn't hear anyone else coming towards her. Once again she was alone and safe.
As she recovered her wind she glanced back to where she had just come from. To her horror she chanced a glance at the two stallions walking side by side as they passed through a clearing and back into the trees. They had been in it together after all. Lycoris trembled with fear and anger. If she had stayed what fate would have befallen her? Would she have been killed and eaten? Or worse? Those cads. She grit her teeth and willed her legs to keep moving. If she could see them down there then there was a chance that they could see her up here. She wouldn't let them catch her. Never.

The look on Farren’s face said more than Farren himself could. He was contemplating taking his chances to kick this stallion in the jaw. There was no reason for his incessant following. Farren hadn’t even done anything since the mare had run off. Really he hadn’t even done anything before she had run off either. Still, he followed like it was his sworn duty to bother the currently innocent. He didn’t even say anything. He just trailed along like a shadow with accusing eyes.
Farren had had enough.
With an aggravated growl he spun about to stare the kirilona down. "Leave me alone already!" He demanded feeling his face heat with rage. "I'm sure there are others out there that would be happy with some beast trailing them like a lost puppy but I'm not one of them!"

Roarke came to a sudden halt when the white stallion wheeled about and tried not to laugh at the infuriated look on his face. Perhaps tormenting him wasn’t the best way to stop the stallion’s bullying ways for good but it would at least keep him out of trouble temporarily. Besides that, if Roarke could get all of that anger channeled towards himself there wouldn’t be a threat to innocents running around anymore. It was best to just keep it up for now.
"I thought you were going to go see people and places." Roarke said mockingly. "And I sure would like to see them too." He stifled the laughter that threatened to erupt out of his throat. To an extent this could be considered bullying as well though Roarke preferred to think of it as light teasing and it was teasing for a good cause. "Surely I'm not as bad as a puppy, though. I'm not running about by your feet and tripping you up."

"I'd say you're worse than a puppy actually. Dogs can't talk." Farren replied flatly discovering that he couldn't find the humor in the situation that the great, lumbering stallion saw. Farren felt murderous. He was not one to be mocked. He was an intelligent and crafty stallion not the butt of some fool's joke. "You've had your fun now be on your way." He said dismissively moving to walk off in a different direction. He had no reason to believe that dismissing the stallion would work this time when it hadn't the last but there was no way he was going to let the stranger follow him with any form of consent.

Roarke chuckled but made no move to follow the white stallion. He was a spoiled fellow, Roarke could tell. It was likely that no one had ever really said 'no' to him during all of his time in this world. He wasn't wrong when he said that Roarke had had his fun, though, and perhaps it was time to head off home. He had done his part to keep the peace and it didn't look like there was anyone else in these parts for the white one to bother. Still, when Roarke picked up his feet he found himself following behind the stranger once again.
Roarke couldn't keep the amused smile off of his grey face. He wasn't really following the other. It just so happened that this path was the quickest way back to his river. He knew full well what Mr. Priss would think though. He would think he was being tailed again and Roarke didn't feel the need to say anything to the contrary.

At first Farren thought that he had finally been listened to. He tossed his head smugly. That was how it should be every day. In an ideal world he would say something and people would listen to his every word and take what actions needed taking. His imaginings were interrupted by the dull thud of hooves hitting the ground.
“Don’t tell me...” He muttered glancing over his shoulder before scowling. Sure enough that accursed stallion was right behind him once more. He had had just about enough of that. If he was so hell-bent on following Farren then Farren wasn’t going to make it an easy task. Without a word he veered to the side and tore off down a new path. He swerved in and out of trees never once checking to see if he was being followed. If he pursued, well Farren knew just the place to take him. A special cave full of hostile mares that would one day feel his revenge.

Just as Roarke had predicted the stallion seemed to be under the impression that Roarke still had an interest in following him. He laughed outright when the stranger bolted like a startled rabbit. He had never seen a grown stallion move that fast out of nothing but irritation before. Perhaps it should have concerned Roarke that his feathers were so easily ruffled but he was far to amused to think of how dangerous it really could be. He was currently racing off out of Roarke’s territory where things would be out of his hands if something did happen. As much as he would like to step in, acting on another stallion’s territory could start unnecessary hostility between groups. It couldn’t be done.
No matter, with any luck the thought of being pestered by another stallion like Roarke would keep the stranger from picking fights.
