The words that came from the candy machine operator sounded like they might taste delicious, but that was getting her nowhere. She frowned (even harder than she usually frowned) and nibbled on the edge of her hair-covered lollipop, grumbling as she stepped towards Sammy.

"It's...not...giving me candy. Fix it...please."

She pointed at the machine with purpose, eyes showing a level of determination that only a child with an elaborate stealing-the-cookie-from-the-cookie-jar scheme could mirror.

Something within Shine snapped. There was really no other way to put it.

She'd managed to deal with the bogeyman situation by crying until Rain found her. The two of them had made it through the exams in spite of her friend's injury. And the awful music that kept her from curling up and existing in the warm embrace of silence should have set her off, but she pressed through it.

But this was too much.

Her eyes flashed, red glow consuming the bits of pale blue that remained. The typically lethargic zombie furiously spun around, threw her lollipop at the not-candy machine as hard as she could, and marched towards it, clawed hands flexing with malicious intent.

Any other day, Sammy would have joined Rain, she would have jumped onto that robot and tried to put her left fist clean through the glass of the mech. Today was different, this Elf wasn't attempting to kill them, he seemed rather uhhh high really. Must be smoking some 'holiday cheer' of some kind.

No they could use him, or his robot at least, and attacking him was no way to go about that.

"HEY STOP IT!" She shouted moving towards the ghoul who was now quiet intent on hitting the unfortunate elf. "We might need his help don't go pissing him off or we'll have even more jack-damn-problems!"

She attempted to grab Shine's arm, giving her a light tug away from the robot.

It was probably a really big mistake to do that.

If one good thing could be said about snow, it was soft. Even as she fell back the snow caught her in a puff of white as Shine fell atop her hissing and huffing.

Sammy of course only glared, yellow eyes finally focusing on one thing. The ghoul atop her probably ready to beat her face in. No time to let her though she thought as she tucked her feet in tight against her curling the lower half of her body into a ball almost.

"You need to calm down... right... NOW!"

Two boots met Shines stomach, they weren't filled with FEAR, and it wasn't really an attack, Sammy didn't want to hurt the poor raging Ghoul. Not yet at least. Instead the twin black boots would carry enough force to simply toss the ghoul up and over Sammy's head face first into the snow behind her.

They could hug it out later when Shine wasn't having a sugar-fit.

For a moment Sammy had peace. She stood up dusting snow off her bare shoulder. The only upside to having nothing on but pants, boots, and training bra was the distinct lack of wet clothing to put up with in wet snow.

However still smelling faintly like peppermint filled with JOY was the other drawback at the moment.

Before she could say anything else towards the ghoul she was falling backwards, her shoulder leaking thick drops of dark muddy looking blood.

"That's it; no more playing nice." She grunted. FEAR flared along her left fist. As she whipped out a haymaker towards Shine's jaw. Followed by a less serious kick to the chest to back the ghoul up again.

Anything attacked/attackers should note: Take wild clawing to the right shoulder, react with heavy hay-maker from left fist; fracture jawline. Light snap kick to chest; stun and stumble target...

Sammy could only sigh as the poor ghoul seemed to rollercoaster into a new set of emotions. She forgot how quickly Witches could mood swing. Grabbing some snow she cleaned out the claw marks on her shoulder before moving over to Shine.

"You went nuts and ripped my shoulder open. The Rat Kings already done a number on me so that didn't make my day better." She reached up running a hand along Shine's jaw line feeling where it popped out of place and a few cracks along the way. "Don't scream, don't flip out, this is gona hurt a bit." Palm under chin she gave a light thump popping the jaw mostly into place.

"Better? I've uh... had practice in doing stuff like that."

"Oh hey, so you guys are hungry? Man, I can totally see this situation from your perspective. Holly, I'd probably get a bit strung out too. Actually I could use some snackage myself. I saw a place earlier, looked pretty nice. Let's all go get something to be munchful with." And with that the Rainbow Scout got up and began stomping them a nice clear path through the snow and lesser Christmas creatures.
