"Yup, that sounds about right," Tedan replied with a laugh after returning that hug. Hugs were awesome, it was Christmas!! Oooh, food sounded good too! Though after a moment or two, it was clear that somehow or other, he'd managed to make the small barrel on his costume function as a drink container. There was a long bendy straw sticking out of one end with a little cap on it. Even as he was dragged to the table, he pulled the cap off and sipped at whatever was in the barrel (it was apple cider YUM YUM). "Oh, you want some of this?" he asked, offering the straw to the other.

Well, gee! Wilson was absolutely delighted to see couples making out when he entered the Gala. Strike that, he was actually feeling quite lonely at the sight. Somehow he still managed to smile as he simply stood there, soaking in the scene of uh, people kissing. He awkwardly tugged at his shirt and then readjusted the elf hat on his head. For some reason he had felt compelled to don the elf costume Julie had sent him. Well, why not? It looked awesome!
After getting past the couples, Wilson managed to spot a couple of familiar faces that were currently not snogging someone else. “Hey!” He waved as he walked over to Tedan and Gale, the bells on his hat loudly jingling with each step he took.

"Hey Wilson!" Tedan called to the other, lifting a pawed hand to wave at him. Good to see more familiar faces that weren't currently engaged in kissing and generally acting like they were in a sappy romance novel. Or maybe an anime, he really wasn't sure with Bix and Julie over there.

Gale gave Marcus a look that clearly said something along the lines of Just because it's Christmas I won't get irked at you for snogging your girlfriend like you're both about to die.
At least until they moved over to the food table and started all over again.
Then Gale decided to just ignore them both, turning instead back to Tedan and then Wilson, who had slipped up to join them.
"Sup, mate?" said Gale, and slung a friendly arm around the other's shoulders - well, as much as he could manage, considering the fact that he was a good deal shorter than the both of them.
"Oh, awesome." Taking the barrel from Tedan, Gale sipped happily on the drink for a few seconds (whatever it was, it was delicious), before handing it back and saying brightly "So, who all is ready for presents?"

Clearly Gale and Tedan hadn't been drinking the JOY filled water... which was pretty much in everything in the facility. Were they on a diet? A fasting? Something that required starving? Wasn't that passover or something? She had no idea. Still, Cass was happily lead along by Marcus, not even noticing as Bix and Julie got their lovely little soulmate smooch in. She'd picked the perfect person to interview with Julie!
She was a winner!
"Extra presents? I don't need extra presents!" she protested, though it was obvious that more presents would have actually been really liked with some squealing. A lot of it. And more makeou- heeeyy, she was getting more make-outs anyways!
Which she reciprocated quite happily for a while, before she pulled away. "Cake first, though?" she asked, clearly a high level concern. Dessert was important, after all.

 Jerry was READY TO PARTY. So ready. He felt... GREAT! BETTER THAN USUAL. GOOD ENOUGH TO NARRATE IN ALL CAPS. Candace wasn't here yet.... hmm.... Well, he had said he would meet here here, although he couldn't help but be excited about eventually giving her presents and SUCH PRESENTS oh man, this was certainly the best holiday season HE had experienced! So many FRIENDS! So much MUSIC everywhere he went people were HUMMING or SINGING or WHISTLING and he couldn't help but follow suit. He had waffled a bit on what to wear, finally settling on a cultural compromise. It hadn't been until he was back on the other side of the portal he realized he had no yarmulke ... and.... Christmas or not it didn't feel like December without wearing it at least once. He was due for a new scarf anyway, and the orange material had been good enough to hand stitch the little disk as carefully and lovingly as he could. Somehow, it stayed on his head, kept in place with a carefully strapped reindeer headband. A festive tie and an even more festive sweater vest and his usual brown suit later he was READY TO ROCK. TO JINGLEBELL ROCK. Or at least saunter in as cooly as possible. It was more of a skip. That was when he saw it. Amongst the glitter and bells and holly, it stood like a beautiful, holy beacon. Christmas Miracles did happen... Without so much as a hello to his friends, Jerry made a B-line for the bar.

Wilson’s face became blank as he noticed the costume Tedan wore. “Wow! Awesome costume. Where’d you get it?” Then he smiled again, curiously poking at the straw that peeked out from beneath the sun trainee’s hat. “How’d you do that?”
When Gale slung an arm around him, Wilson obligingly leaned over so hopefully it would be a bit easier for the blond. “I feel great!” he chirped. Then his eyes sparkled at the mention of presents. “Presents? I’m always ready for presents.”

 Omg Minnie was so excited!!!!!!!!
Omg Minnie was cold!!!!!!!! Was she over dressed?! At the time the outfit seemed very fitting.
.. Omg. All of the decorations, all of the people, all of the love going around! It was wonderful? Yes. Just wonderful!
Minerva shuffled onto the scene with a surprising amount of calmness despite all of the above. It may have been because she was wearing heels; the most impractical type of shoe ever. Or perhaps Minerva didn't want to come off as TOO overzealous in the event that no one else seemed to be feeling the same way. It was only when she finally arrived that the trainee's face went from a tiny smirk to full blown grin. In her sights, just beyond the loving couples (one of which she had to remember to congratulate! Yay Bix for finding love!), were a few of the boys she had met just recently..
Oh.. Oh yes. She had to be with them. She had to go see them. She just had to! Fussing with the dress so her strides could close the gap quicker, Minerva advanced the lot of single gentlemen with a finger wave; one of her hands holding on to the hat she decided to wear. "Gale! Wilson! Errrm.. " She didn't know Tedan, but he was wearing a badass costume.. so she greeted him anyway! "Hello to you too, stranger!" Coming to an abrupt stop, the woman exhaled heavily before laughing.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt anything, I just HAD to come say hi! This place looks great, doesn't it?" Her brows furrowed worriedly for a moment, wondering if she HAD interrupted something important, and if the boys wouldn't be so welcoming of her because of it. But that soon passed when the word was mentioned. "Ohhh! Presents!"

"I am TOTALLY ready for presents!!" Tedan enthused, actually pumping a fits into the air even as he grabbed a cookie from the table of desserts and bit into it. Really, he hadn't gotten all that many presents yet, but that was okay. Surely he'd get more before the season was over - because that's what happened at Christmas. You got presents. Lots and lots and lots and lots of them. And lots. "Oh, Julie gave me this, isn't it awesome?" he answered Wilson, reaching up to flop around one of the ears on the puppy costume. "And I rigged up the straw thing myself! There's some apple cider in here, you wanna taste too?" Then someone else joined them, and Tedan waved a paw at her with a grin. "Hi! It really does look great, they must have spent a ton of time decorating!"

Gale had definitely been drinking the water.
He just didn't have a girl to mack on with, and therefore was slightly put out by the whole thing.
But it was Christmas! No need to be disappointed! He had some Totally Awesome Friends that he was with! Tedan,, Wilson, and then Minerva had stepped up, looking beautiful in her outfit.
"Hello, Professor!" said Gale, delighted by this new arrival. He then proceeded to remove his arm from Wilson in order to fling both of his around Minerva's waist in a second Very Big Hug.
"Glad to see you're here! And yes! Yes, presents!" he added jovially, snatching up a cup of punch from the table and taking a very long swallow of it.
The night was only just beginning...

Robert had left a bouquet of roses at Petra's door a week earlier. Inside the bouquet had been a simple note, which had read, exactly, the following: "will u go to th xmas dance wit me y/n" As Robert walked in, toting the most beautiful girl (in his opinion, and he was sure he wasn't biased) on his arm, the answer to her question had obviously been yes. They had not yet exchanged any sort of Christmas presents, nor had either of them made any mention of it. But still, as Robert led his beloved Petra to the dance floor, it was clear he was unnerved by something. "Did I mention you look fantastic?" He had. Almost 12 times, since he'd picked her up at her dorm earlier that evening. Perhaps he'd used other words, such as 'beautiful', 'so ******** hot', 'get back in your dorm they won't mind if we're late', but the sentiment had been the same. But eventually they'd arrived, and he was no less nervous than he had been the moment she first opened her door. He put his hand on her waist, and swayed her gently to the music, as they almost instantly began dancing. His smooth, easy movements were not betraying his anxiety - but his face was. His free hand patted his shirt pocket to make sure tha- ... His free hand patted his pants pocket to make sure th- ... ".. You've gotta be shitting me." Robert looked like he was going to cry. His eyes searched frantically for Jordan, Jerry, anyone. Help.

“Minnie! No problem. We were just talking and stuff.” He called out, overjoyed at her arrival. Wilson’s gaze went to her gaze and his mouth formed an ‘o’ shape. “Wow, you look really pretty. This is Tedan by the way.” He pointed to said-man.
“Really? Sweet. Julie gave me this elf costume. It was so cool I decided to wear it today.” Then he paused. “Wait, there’s apple cider in there?” His jaw dropped as he turned to look at Tedan. Dude. Wilson loved apple cider. It was fizzy and tasted all apple-y and—yeah. It was awesome. He reached for the straw and spent a few good seconds sipping the cider before reluctantly stopping. Wilson wasn’t going to rob Tedan of all his apple cider. That would be incredibly rude.
Then he stared at Gale, who hugged at Minerva. He frowned. Feeling left out, he walked over and joined Gale in the hug. He wouldn’t mind, right?
