It was that berserker sort of move which completely threw him off, it wasn't expected in the least. The snowballs rained down on his fort and him, some leaving a dazzling shimmer of snow dust in the air while other snowballs slammed into his fort and some into him. One went off behind him, having hit a tree, and then it was all over with one last burst of snow dust. Blinking he looked around, having lost sight of the red head. Where on earth had she gone?
Looking around he grabbed a snowball in each hand, just to be safe. He had his own stock pile still, though it wasn't much of one, and if need be was willing to leave it in order to take this fight to the whole clearing. The only thing he knew was he wasn't going to let her win, and whatever that took he was up for.
Looking around he knew she hadn't just fled, it didn't seem in her character to do something so....weak. No, she seemed the type to stay and fight, and even resort to less than normal tactics. So he was looking for any movement, he needed to find her, he didn't want to be caught completely unaware.
"That was a good tactic. I'm impressed." He spoke, raising his voice so she could hear. He was hoping for her to respond, for her to help him.

Curses, flattery. Micah covered her mouth with her hand to keep herself from speaking. Oh, but she couldn't. Sneaking around the wooded area she called her cover Micah made her way over to a pine tree with low branches.
"And surprised, evidently."
Micah pulled herself up on the frozen branch, hoisting her legs up and out of sight. Perhaps cornered, but only of Alexandre could climb. Micah reached up again and lifted herself up another level.
"You'll have to forgive me for changing tactics so abruptly. I just didn't have the patience to bring down your walls."
Like a monkey Micah crawled higher and higher into the tree, moving with the swirl of the branches until she could safely move to another bough of a nearby pine. That's why Micah liked pines. The boughs were always never far from each other, be it in one tree or when navigating several.

"And I suspect you didn't see me taking things the way I did." He spoke, she should have been able to avoid some of his snowballs and yet hadn't. He was sure he'd taken her by surprise as well, something he was happy to know.
"I'd like to forgive you but this, as you know, war and forgiveness isn't a part of war." He spoke a smile tugging at his lips, which he allowed to creep across his features slowly. This he was indeed enjoying, even if Lily might yell later about him tracking water into the house and dripping worse than the dog. This was worth it, it really was.
Climbing trees had never been something he'd done, he wasn't even sure he could, it had just never appealed to him to rub up against a tree and tear and dirty up his clothing in order to get up a tree and gain the view it permitted a person. So he didn't even think to look up into trees and settled for moving around slowly, snow crunching under his feet as he moved around seeking the red head out. His feet were starting to chill but nothing he couldn't ignore for the moment. He'd take a hot bath, or shower, when he got home. By then he'd surely need it.

He hadn't looked up. Micah covered her hair with her hood, still standing out among the greenery, just less so with the muted red. The branches around her popped in the cold, so it was impossible for anyone to tell which one Micah was standing on. Her hands were already cut and sticky, but she didn't care. It was like a scene out of Pocahontas for her. She grabbed onto the trunk of the tree she stood in and balanced delicatley on a particularly snowy branch. Closer... closer... True, dumping snow on Alexandre would give away her position, but the look on his face would be priceless. Plus, an airborne snowball fight would be fun.
Not that Micah expected Alexandre to join her in the air.
No, he looked far too dignified for that.
Still, the idea did make her chuckle. Quietly, of course, and into her mittened hand. Elegant Alexandre, up in the trees wiht Micah, like some native warrior. Ah, Micah was a romantic. In reality, she had to admit, a airborne snowball fight would end in someone falling from a signifigant height and needing a trip to the doctors. And it would probably be Micah. That would be the end of all of her fun. Micah shivered at the idea and resolved to descend to the ground once her trap was sprung.

That and he didn't like climbing trees, he'd jump in his powered form or teleport, but climbing wasn't something he'd do. There was a distinct difference between climbing and jumping or teleporting. The problem was he couldn't do either, he couldn't power up. It was something he wished he could do, or at least perhaps the jumping and speed passed from that half of his life to his civilian half. It would be nice, really!
These thoughts couldn't help but cross his mind as he looked around for Micah, he needed to find her in order to defeat her. Shaking his head as he wandered closer to the trees, in case she was hiding in the bushes or behind a tree. Peeking around as he leaned in close, but didn't step in to the trees and bushes.
Micah had to be somewhere here, she wouldn't have run off that much he knew. For a moment, the second or third time, he couldn't help but think she would make a good Negaverse agent. She wasn't the sort to back off or run away or anything, that was a good quality. Perhaps he should get to know her further and learn more about her. Snowballs in his hands ready, in case she jumped out at him; he would so smush one into her face.

Still not looking up? Micah actually laughed out loud at this lack of awareness. A high, ringing laughter and shook her whole body. There was no point in containing herself any longer; her trap was ready to be sprung. She watched as Alexandre inched closer and closer, unwitting of her waiting in the trees.
"You should look up more often," Micah called from her perch, laughing through her words. She jostled the branch then, losening the pile of snow so delicatley balanced atop it. Another high, musical laugh as she did so, lighter powder remaining in a glistening cloud before gently falling back to earth to join it's heavier bretheren.
Micah didn't wait to see if any of the snow actually hit Alexandre. She descended the tree as fast as possible, catching and tears her coat. Micah didn't care. She was due for a new one anyway. she rather liked the look of Alexandre's peacoat... maybe she'd invest in one of her own. It might even stand up to her tree climbing.
Micah's feet hit ground and she swirled around her watched Alexandre, anxious to see what havok she had wrot.

His head snapped open, his neck complaining about the quick movement, s**t! She was up in a tree, why hadn't he considered it? Oh, because he wouldn't climb up a tree! Of course he wouldn't look up a tree for her, he didn't even realize she'd had enough time to get herself up into a tree.
He didn't get much, or any, time to do or say anything as the snow fell. A heavy amount that landed on his blond head, as he turned his head down quickly, with a thump. Gasping as cold snow got into his lungs as he took a surprised inhale of icy cold hair and snow. Gasping on cold hair he turned his head back up, watching the soft dusting of glistening snow fall gently. This was why winter was so amazing and magical really.
Turning, as he noted she was no longer in the tree, he launched both snowballs, one than the other, as soon as he saw her. Following it up as he launched himself at her, in an attempt to bring her to the snow covered ground. "I didn't think to look up, I will next time." Yes, there would be a next time!

Why is it that when Micah was around boys it always ended in them both wrestling? She just seemed to have that effect on them. Masculine enough for them to forget she was female and treat her like one of the guys. Not that she minded. With Alexij for a brother she was well versed in the art of full contact fighting. However, with a face full of snow, it was pretty hard for Micah to concentrate. She puffed and spat to try and remove the powder from her face as she was tackled, hitting the ground hard. The only thing that saved her back from injury was the soft snow padding her fall. It allowed her, also, to laugh instead of scream when she was tackled.
So much better than forts.
Micah rolled with her fall, shifting her weight to the side to try and pin Alexandre under her. The only problem was that the snow had turned her face numb with cold. And her fingers numb. And pretty much everything else numb, actually. Micah hadn't dressed for full contact in the snow, so feeling anything was hard. She shivered as she rolled, trying to coax the blood flow back to her arms and legs as she moved.

He really was going to need a hot bath, a shower would no longer handle the cold which was working it's way through his body and numbing him. His toes and fingers were already suffering along with his ears. His nose as well and his cheeks had turned a good shade of red from the cold. But this was worth it, having her in the snow and pinned under him. As far his he was concerned he'd just won, only it seemed she was intent on proving him wrong.,
Rolled and laying under her he stared up at her and lifted his legs to lock around her and roll them again. By now his hair was full of snow, so his head and scalp was also cold. And he even shivered as he reversed their positions. This hopefully wouldn't last long and she'd admit defeat to him.
This wasn't something he'd gotten experience doing with family, rolling around and wrestling. It was more a new thing and something he did when he couldn't fight, since he wasn't all that good at hand to hand though he was getting better slowly but surely.

Micah was about to give a triumphant laugh at her victory, straddling Alexandre in the snow. About to. She was cut off when he rolled again, pinning her back on the ground. Alright, new tactic. Micah grunted as she willed her slowly disobeying limbs to work, gripping Alexandre by the shoulders and pushing him away. She'd never winn if they just kept rolling. They were both, clearly, too stubborn; Micah did not miss the victory in Alexandre's eyes when he pinned her. She had to get out from under Alexandre. As he straddled her again, Micah lifted one sopping leg, forcing it between his legs and up under him. Not enough to hurt him, Micah was above crotch shots.
And then her leg failed her. Micah cursed and leg it fall back against her chest, puffing and huffing.
"Okay, I can't feel my leg anymore," she grunted, lifting herself up on her elbows, hoping Alexandre respected her sudden handicap. "It's way too cold to be rolling around in the snow in just jeans."

Even if she had kneed him between the legs he wasn't sure he'd feel it, he was quite numb by now. His pants were wet, his gloves were failing and just yeah over all cold and numbness. So when he flopped back, from the push off of her he slowly went to pin her once more.
That knee while it didn't do much of anything it was warning enough to back off, especially when her words were heard. "I'd say the same thing is my case. Perhaps we should both concede and pick this up at another time." He spoke, as he stood slowly and offered a hand. he wasn't sure his legs would hold him too much longer, and he did need to get home. He'd flag a cab and get home that way, since he had walked here and couldn't walk himself home like this.
A hot bath sounded perfect really, in fact if Micah wasn't around the idea would have him moaning in envisioned pleasure.

Micah shook the snow out of her hair as Alexandre stood up. That sounded like a reasonable request. Not admitting defeat, but offering a truce until such a time as they were both prepared. Micah consulted her pride for a moment, regarding Alexandre's hand suspiciously. It's nto defeat... but it's not victory. Sometimes a retreat has to be considered. There is no honor in retreat. In the end Micah's cold-numbed body made the decision for her.
"Yeah, that sounds like a plan actually." Micah finally took the hand, pulling herself up on it. "By then we'll be ready in terms of clothing, right?" And I'll stay out fo trees. Micah would admit, that wasn't exactly fair. But Alexandre didn't need to know that. Maybe next time he'd be so preoccupied with the trees that he wouldn't notice her on the ground.
But, at that moment, what sounded better to Micah was a hot cup of cocoa and a warm fire. With Alexij reading next to her. Yes. Twin time, just like when they were younger. Micah grinned brightly at the thought, suddenly able to feel her legs would carry her as far as she needed. No more, but no less either.
Micah didn't wait to actually schedual a rematch. Her mind was too distracted by the prospect of cocoa. She waved to Alexandre as she turned again, brushing the snow from her clothing in a vain attempt to warm herself up. Yes, cocoa and a fire. Perfect.
