Roch kicked him away with his foot and brought his guitar strap over his shoulder. "Just shut up for a bit, would you? I wanna try something." Then he played--not the A chord, but the C chord, hoping to heal himself. Nothing happened.
"Jackdammit," he complained.

"Right, right, got it," Roch said, taking the strap off of his guitar and grabbing it with both hands. He needed to finish the bear off, because clearly his new FEAR wasn't developed enough.
Although, seriously, was that a surprise? He flipped the guitar, then, quite calmly, slit the bear's throat with the headstock.

Yeah, man, the sooner he could get out of this school, the better, Roch thought as he walked away, his guitar slung over his back, his hands in his pockets.
Any place that had killer teddy bears was probably too much for him. (Thought the boil that had left the teddy waiting as he experimented with his newest FEAR ability.)
