Ramaur starred at the pair, meeting those golden eyes of the one called Jim before he shifted in place, trying to decide what it was that he should do. The man was telling him that Star would be alright but he was unfortunately very skittish, something that he learned from experience given that the kid had run from him the moment that he'd seen him and hadn't said a word to him since, barely even looking at him. Jim said that the boy liked him but he really didn't believe that, instead figuring the kid was terrified of him as a lot of people that didn't understand him seemed to be.

He pulled his mask back into place over his face, allowing it to settle into place just below his eyes, before he slowly moved toward them. He had no reason to be afraid personally he thought to himself as he was kneeling down next to the pair of them. He wasn't afraid, he wasn't shy, and not just because Jim called him over there then he would go over, instead he would do so because he wanted to. He wasn't the sort that allowed himself to get ordered around, always having been a bit stubborn, like a mule, "Alright, I'm here. What am I feeling?" He asked, a curious tone in his voice. What was it the man was wanting to show him? He didn't know but he wanted to figure it out because it seemed like one of those important sort of lessons that actually mattered, not the sort that Shale was always trying to pound into his skull.

A little jolt went through Ramaur as the man grabbed hold of his hand, turning to look at him, his tentacles giving a bit of a twitch. Well now, he'd never really had anyone man handle him with such force before, it was something he couldn't help but to find interesting. His attention left Jim though before turning to look at Star instead as his hand was pressed against Star's chest, feeling the way that his heart was thudding in his chest as well as his warmth, something that had him starring at him in a curious manner, "Huh." He murmured, spreading his fingers out against the boy's chest in a curious manner. His heart seemed to be racing along rather quickly, wasn't it? Faster then he'd felt a heart go before, that was for sure.

The more he felt it though, paying a close attention to the beat as it went from going at a rather rapid pace to slowing down, all under his hand. It was a rather strange sensation but interesting at the same time. His wings gave a flutter before he reached out, sliding his arms around him, and pulled him into his arms, "Come here, Star." He murmured, hugging him close, wrapping his arms around him first, then his four tentacles, and finally his two wings, all of the limbs working as shielding against the storm that had scared the little deer boy so badly, "There, there. I wouldn't let that terrible storm get to you." He told him, as though he had a choice in the matter... though if he did and the storm were an entity he would just pummel the ever living Hell out of it to show his little Star that there was nothing to fear from something as weak as a storm. In fact it was, to Ramaur, something that was easily forgotten in light of having the little bitty deer in his grasp.

Turning to look over toward Jim the squid bird's form seemed to glow a little bit brighter before he gave a grin that was hidden behind his mask, "He's pretty cute, even if he is a bit on the too young for me yet side." He said to the guy, giving a bit of a chuckle.
