Aksaja flinched at her spinning kick attack whatever-it-was, driven backwards a bit each time. Damn dancing . . . . . thing. He growled and clenched his fists, determined to protect the others. At least for now she seemed focused on him.
"Hey!" he snapped to get her attention, then aimed a punch at her head.

Merry gave a very startled hiss when the kick struck Aksaja's wing, and she yanked Thanatos back and further away, nudging him behind her and out of the way. It was time enough for the dragon and ballerina to exchange their blows, but as the chimera turned she was ready to enter the fray as well. "I guess you were right after all, Saja," she huffed, taking a swing at the dancer with painted claws extended. "I would really like to know why, though!"
Hit or miss, the ghoul hopped back from the dancer after her attack, guarding herself from any retaliation as best she could. Still quite firmly in place between the monster, whatever she was, and their small friend.

Thanatos had made a strangled sound, petrified at first when the foe had appeared. The dire dancing diva was not what he had expected from the Maul today...or any day, actually, but then, he should really learn that any outing that he took with his friends turned into sheer mayhem. "Than doesn't like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis~!" ;^; He wailed, baring claws in a less than menacing display, or at least...it was coming from such a diminutive opponent.
Behind the chimera now, he grimaced at the blow that Aksaja took, shuddering as though the Fae-hound himself had taken a hit. "No!" Stepping out from behind his willing shield, "Miss pointy-toes needs to be finding herself a new dance spot! This one we had first! DON'T HURT THAN'S FRIENDS!" Gritting his teeth, he darted forward, one hand brushing the ground as his tail swung out behind him to allow him balance, and he took a swipe at the Christmas decor gone to life.

The first two attacks just grazed the ballerina, damaging her paint but not doing much more. So she was more than prepared when the fae hound darted forward, and was in the middle of a grand battement en cloche. So even as he attacked her supporting leg, she managed to kick him hard in the side and send him flying. Than's attack and the recoil from her kick knocked the ballerina completely off balance, badly damaging her whole lower leg as she fell. When she tried to rise back onto pointe, her leg collapsed under her. Trying again, she managed to get into an arabesque en pointe, but wobbled dangerously. It definitely got the dragon's attention when Than suddenly darted out from behind him to slash at the dancing thing, and Aksaja just blinked a bit at how well his small friend delivered that attack. Still, though, he wasn't going to let the enemy get to either of his two more vulnerable friends.
Except that he wasn't fast enough to get Than out of the way and his eyes widened as the ballerina lashed out right back at the other. Oh s**t. "Leave him ALONE!" the dragon half-roared, shoving Than behind him with one wing as he pretty much body-slammed the thing to the floor. He hadn't wanted anyone to get hurt dammit . . . wanted to protect them.(( HP: 31/40 Damage done: 8 - OVERKILL OLOLOLOL FEAR charge: 3/3 ))

As the dragon knocked her to the floor a second time, her leg shattered underneath her. In fact, the cracks had spread up further, and she broke into several pieces. They lay on the floor, now apparently just normal wood, no sign of whatever it was that had brought her to life. Dangerous Diva Attack roll: 2 d12 Damage: N/A HP: 0/12 -dead-

Even after the thing shattered into pieces, Aksaja spent a good few minutes kicking all of the pieces farther apart and farther away from all of them before he stopped, panting with fists clenched at his sides. Jack . . .
"Than . . ." he sort of breathed softly, spinning around to rush over toward the fae-hound, stopping just short of grabbing him, not having any real clue how badly he might be hurt. "Than, are you okay?" He should have been faster, should have hit it harder at the start, should have . . . something. Jack.

A little dark blur darted out from under Merry's arm, and she stared in shocked awe as Than delivered a rather impressive blow to the ballerina's leg, cracking her. Of course the awe turned immediately into concern when their foe kicked the dainty hound and sent him flying. "Than!" Now that is exactly what she and Aksaja had been trying to avoid!
While the dragon moved to tackle the dancer, Merry rushed back to Than's side with a strong beat of wings, sinking down beside him and pressing her palm into the side of his face. "Hey kid, you okay?" it had only been a kick, then again, Merry wasn't sure how sturdy a being Thanatos was.
She looked up when Aksaja dropped down beside her, lips pressing into a thin line before returning her attention back down to the fae-hound. The chimera had her own guilt about their small friend getting hurt. She should have done a better job of keeping him behind her. On the other hand, Than rushing forward, it had been pretty brave. Reckless, but brave.
