"Kiss is such a strong word," Julie totally missed the look Gale gave her, or maybe she saw it. The Moon Hunter flippantly waved at the beard- err - the Hunter lady, effectively catching their attention.
Said lady began to walk over, the steady clip-clop of their heels betraying their confusion as the neared the duo. "You two need something?"
"Now is your chance!" Whispered Julie in a loud stage voice to the trainee.

"My chance to do what, exactly," hissed Gale, after Julie, but clearly she wasn't listening. He turned around and eyed the female hunter with a look of great apprehension.
Total silence.
Then something garbled and hurried and spoken so quickly it came out sounding like it was all said in one breath
"Yourbeautyisofathousandwords."
...what on earth had he just said?!
This was all Julie's fault for saying something about words and love and a thousand...
All. Julie's. Fault.

Awkward silence.
And then a scrape of the chair as the Hunter lady stood up to her full impressive six-foot-five height, towering over Gale ominously. Her somewhat totally unladylike voice spoke volumes as she cracked her knuckles. "Are you insulting me, kid?"

And then Gale saw his entire life flash before his entire eyes.
...it was really short.
"JULIE ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!"

Julie immediately dragged Gale away from potential disaster zone 0. "No, no no no this wont do, she is absolutely too tall for someone of your stature."
Really, it might have been better just to have left the trainee there. The Moon Hunter didn't let go of Gale's arm until they were finally at Eligible Bachelorette Number Three. The Hunter in question seemed perfectly normal, their long gold locks flowing in soft curls down to their waist. In fact, as Julie waved and said Hunter turned around, it was becoming increasingly evident that this new female was way out of the trainee's league. Way, way, way, way out.

Thankfully he was dragged away before he was turned into a Gale pancake.
"Where are we go..." he started to say as, once again, but the words stuck in his throat and Gale found he was suddenly not very articulate, his eyes wide and startled.
"Er," he said, and his face turned an interesting shade of red, attempting to hide behind Julie and not succeeding in the slightest.
"What are we doing here?!"

"We are here," Julie confirmed, patting Gale as one would to a small child, "To find you true love. Now come along now, for true love cannot wait!"
The Moon Hunter did her best to drag the trainee until they were directly in this Life Hunter's line of sight. Said Hunter looked up at the two, large blue eyes blinking, confused. "Can I help you?" Her voice was just the right mixture of soft and cultured, and it was more noticeable as she turned around that she had in one hand a small reindeer plush.
"Yes!" Julie went on ahead, "My friend here is on a quest to find true love."
An awkward pause.
"Oh," The life hunter said, surprised, before giving small happy sigh. "True love is rather difficult to find these days isn't it?" She gestured towards her table, which was of course, empty, staring at the two rather wistfully. Could she be... interested?
The Moon Hunter winked at Gale, nudging him forward.

For once, Julie's pat to his head wasn't regarded as condescending, considering that Gale was still staring open-mouthed at the stunning hunter in front of him as though he couldn't quite believe she was there.
And now she wanted him to sit down with her. Gale glanced up at Julie, caught the wink, and swallowed hard.
Then he slooowly slid into the seat across from the blonde hunter, sitting on the edge of the chair as though he were prepared to leap up at any moment.
"Er, yes, I suppose so," said Gale, face flushed. "It's...it's not...easy to find."
I sound stupid.
<< You sound stupid. >>
"So, er...how are you?" he said, and then flushed redder.
Stupid.
<< Yup. >>

Perhaps Gale was a little too stunned to notice that while he talked said gorgeous Life Hunter continued to stare directly at Julie, occasionally emitting another wistful sigh as she buried her hand in her blonde curls. The other hand held the reindeer plush tightly, trying to gaze directly into the Moon Hunter's eyes. All the Death trainee pretty much got was a faceful of blonde hair.
A moment of silence after Gale's question. He might as well have been asking her to solve Fermat's last theorem. At long last the eligible bacheloress grabbed a hold of one of Julie's hands. "Please don't leave me this time." She turned to one side, biting her lower lip, "I-I just couldn't forget about you, not after you gave me this beautiful symbol of our love." The other hand clung to the plushie a little tighter.
Wait, what was-
- Without another word, said Life Hunter leapt into the air and pretty much ravaged Julie with her lips. The Moon Hunter did not seem to that surprised at all to be honest, and in less than a minute, the two of them were holding hands and walking out of the cafeteria.
Leaving Gale very much alone. So alone.
