Eric's eyes widened and then his ears laid back, He would protect his chosen.
Taw decided to intervene he flapped his wings and rose off the ground to land near the charging foal. He loped the last few steps and lounged in front of Ikeru. The foal bumped into him and Taw pinned him down and sat on him.
"You will not hurt my chosen Fire One."

Quite suddenly, Ikeru felt a sickening lurch in his stomach as he was laid out on his side... and then, before he could catch his breath, something heavy and bulky sat on him.
SAT ON HIM.
Naturally, Ikeru was stunned by the suddenness of this, and started squirming and trying to get loose, and then, when that didn't work, he focused on his flames. "LEMME UP! I WANNA BURN THAT HUMAN WHO KILLED MY PRETTY FIRES!" he shouted, though a bit muffled.

"I killed your fires you little brat. Not him. Now stop squirming and see REASON"! shouted Taw. Ion went around to take a peek at the flattened foal.
"You know someone as young as you should not be so angry."
"You know I think I am taking this one home for a little while."
"Really? why does that not surprise me..."

Ikeru wanted none of this, and started his squirming anew, and started to try to flare his mane again, angrily, trying to get free. "LET ME GO! MOM! WHERE ARE YOU MOMMY! HELP ME! THE HUMAN'S GONNA EAT MEEEE!" he wailed, trying to move free, managing to get a leg out from under Taw.

Taw winced at the smoke rising from his bottom. However he stayed where he was while Ed found some rope. One usually didn't need rope when working with Azrein but Ikeru was being unreasonable. He tied the foals legs up while attempting to avoid the flame as he went. When he was done Taw moved off him."Im not going to eat you silly."
He loaded the foal onto Taw for the walk home and made sure the foal would not slide off. When they got home Edward would put salve on Taw's rump.

Ikeru closed his eyes, and started to cry a bit, squirming as he tried to free himself, and get loose. He wanted his mommy...and his blankie... and he hated this human, and his Azrien. They were stupid to help that human... couldn't they see how wrong this was?
