Whitaker cocked his head, and then shrugged. "I guess the difference is what it means to you. It's a shelter, but it's home because we live there together, and all our stuff is there." He'd never given much thought to what home meant, but it made sense with a little focused thinking. "Home is more special than just a shelter.."

His ears perked as talk of girls and friends came up. Or more precisely, his lack of either form of companionship. His cheeks colored a little more, quite unused to such questions being aimed at him. "Well- I- ...Dad doesn't worry as much now that I'm grown up, so I don't need to bother him every time I want to go to town or do something away from home. He'd have to come with me when I was smaller. Or I'd have to wait for him to be available. ...I wouldn't have been able to come out here and meet you if I was still a kid." He gave a little smile at this. It was nice to have someone to talk to despite the sudden discomfort. But they seemed to be swiftly moving through topics, so perhaps this one of relationships would soon pass by.

He shook his head at the last question. "The town by us isn't very big. I know others are big though. I've heard other taur talking about them in the market. Those big ones aren't near here though. At least a day's walk away."
