After shaking their hands and acknowledging their words with a nod, Lance said nothing as he took up his post in front of the computer monitors. His elbows rested on the desk, chin in hand as he narrowed his eyes at what the monitors revealed. When Cass asked, it was Lance who answered.
"It's a location several clicks away, an island that's more of a jungle than forest. Sometimes we harvest trees and whatever else the scientists need from it, other times trainees are dropped off there in the middle of the night without warning to do something."
The two experienced hunters exchanged a grin, as if it was a joke shared between them. Aria shook her head, turning away and calling over her shoulder. "Wake up your teammates, report to room 217. You're leaving tonight; you should have spent the last several days preparing. You have your orders; go."
She didn't bother to turn around, instead heading into one of the doors on the other side of the room and disappearing. Near them, Lance shrugged. "Better do what the boss says. Don't go through the door Aria went through -- see the one with the wreath?" He pointed to it. "I suggest you two get moving. Dress warm, bring rope, and do whatever you Mists do." Lance shrugged again.

She wanted in on the joke too! However, it seemed like she wasn't going to get to know what that meaningful look between Lance and Aria was, so she left it be, just frowning lightly as she got her instructions.
Cass paused, her mind racing over the last five days and the building of things, the research. The drills. She'd been in a very much small 'group' of sorts, so this...... well, at least it was between her and Candace, so maybe they'd work it out well enough. Still, Cass nodded, pausing to offer Lance another handshake and pat on the shoulder.
"Thanks, Lance. You're awesome." she beamed, leaning in to give the older hunter a very modest kiss on the cheek before she got moving, patting Candace on the shoulder as she headed to the door. "Guess it's time to chine, Candace." she beamed, pulling out her phone (had Aria left her phone on the couch?) and beginning to text as she walked back to her room.
She needed to grab a jacket with sleeves, but she was dressed enough to be covered in the first place, sans a warmth thing.

Candace also had a feeling she was missing a joke she'd love to be let in on. Shaaaaaare! Sharing is caring! But it didn't seem like they were going to get an explanation on that look they were giving each other. This sounded interesting though...
"Yes, ma'am!" She was totally ready for this. Even if it was still dark out and she hadn't slept much before coming here. She's got this. Totally. Lance's added tips helped a little as well. She'd have to remember. Was that Aria's room or something? Weird..wouldn't her room be in the dorms like the rest?
Cass pat her shoulder and spoke, and Candace grinned. "Yup! Good luck, 'kay? See you there!" There was still the thousand dollars on the line, right? Candace hadn't forgotten about that. "See you around, Lance! Maybe you can give us some Sun training, hmmm?" She grinned and waved as she headed out after Cass, also beginning her line of texts. Reine, Harrison, Eva...Jerry would get a personal wakeup call, however. He'd need more convincing to go out into the night than the others would.
