Even as Madison stumbled and soon fell quiet Candace hung off her, her arms around the girl's shoulders and her hands held together beside her neck as she followed her gaze to Robert. She snorted as she tried to hold in the laughter again, not wanting to laugh while clinging to Madison. Not like she had been earlier. No way. Though she did turn her attention to the girl again as Jordan walked over and spoke to her as if she had shut down. Oh yay! She was back~! Yaaaaaaay! "I know, right? I'm gonna start callin' him Robby the Elf~." Candace laughed, not even caring that her accent had taken on some of its old Texan drawn again. She was in far too good of a mood to care!
She whined a little as Madison released her but did stand on her own, slipping her hands into the coat of her pocket and grinning. "Yeah! I'm ready to go! I'm sure anyone else who still wants to shop'll be on the other side soon enough. I'm curious where we're gonna end up. I hope it's somewhere nice." But then Madison said two magical words.
Manicures and Starbucks.
Widened lavender eyes slowly turned to Madison again as she just stared at the younger woman. "Yes, please. YesyesyesyesyeseeeeeeeeeeeeIcan'twait! I wanna go I wanna go! I want my nails to be pretty again and my hair to get some professional attention and a nice warm cappuccino and presents I want to get so many presents for everyone~!" Candace bounced on her toes, skipping closer to the portal and giving a little spin on the ball of her foot just before stepping through it. "Come on~!" It felt so awesome to have a day to be normal!

Jerry was practically giggling himself over the excitement, beaming as he reached out to playfully pinch Candace's side, "We better go, then, before she pops! Maybe leave a note for anyone who's late coming? Will our cellphones work on the other side if we get - well, i suppose we're GOING to get separated- but you know what I mean!" He had never really GONE Christmas shopping before. A little bit of holiday shopping for various relatives, yes, sometimes attempts at gifts for friends in collage but it was usually for a white-elephant party or something of the nature. Never a huge... extravaganza like this!

"MADDIE!" Robert squealed, bending down and smacking a sloppy kiss on her cheek. "How's my pretty princess doing this morning? You look fantastic as usual. And you're damn right I am WOW. ******** are gonna give me s**t for free when they see me. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT RIGHT UP THE A-"
Before he could finish the foul word, he had already jumped in the portal feet first and disappeared.

Eeek, she'd been smooched! Madison would have squealed or something in response, except Robert had disappeared. Through the portal. THE PORTAL THAT LED TO THE MALL SHE COULDN'T STAND IT ANY LONGER. "C'mon, let's get going already!" she called out to everyone still waiting, then paused and pulled out her phone. Someone was missing. EVERYONE HAD TO COME ENJOY THE... JOY. Frigoris HEY NEA U COMIN 2 MALL4 SHOPIN???? JNGL BELLZ JNGL BELLZ JNGL AL TEH WAY The carol added a certain delightful touch, she felt. She pressed send, then leapt through the portal gracefully. Like Robert had taught her. OMG had he ever danced the Sugar Plum Fairy??? SHE HAD TO ASK HIM. omg.

Jerry's pinch had her giggling all over again as she stumbled into the portal. Oops! She'd meant to wait for him! But it was too late, she'd stumbled onto the other side and ended up in a small hidden alley beside a huge mall. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped at the beautiful sight; Candace may have been off the island but she was still feeling some lingering effects from the joy formula she didn't realize she had been inhaling all day. It was a mall. It was huge. She could see her breath in the air, there was snow on the ground. There were Christmas decorations everywhere.
It. Was. Beautiful. She'd missed this world. She'd missed being carefree and her biggest worries being was she going to make an appointment on time. It was easy to say she didn't need any of these things but Candace was finding herself feeling mighty homesick...for places like this.
Candace was glad she had been the first to make it out here as a few tears of joy had fallen down her cheeks. She needed to wipe them away. Ahaha! Yes. Begone, tears. No one could see. Though she did wait for the others to arrive on the other side before she would go inside. She wanted to shop with Madison! She'd probably join up with Jerry after she'd gotten his gift for him but for now? Shopping and manicures and Starbucks.

Jerry gave a yelp as he rushed after the others, tumbling down into snow.
His first thought was that he REALLY wished he had brought a coat.
His second thought was OMG SNOW!! REAL SNOW!!
With a mighty cackle, he leaped back onto his feet, packing a snowball already before hurling it directly at Robert's head. "AHAHAHAHA SNOW!!" Another ball quickly pelted Jordan, followed by Candace, his fingers quickly getting red and cold. Did he care most of the snow around them was a bit dirty from traffic and littered with little bits of gravel from the Mall parking lot? Not one bit. it was time for SNOW BALL FIGHT!

Everyone was in such a hurry. They had plenty of time! But Jordan didn't particularly want to get separated from his friends; he followed them through the portal, absentmindedly whistling "Jingle Bells" as he went.
He stopped on the other side, taking a moment to just look up at a clear, cold, blue sky, beautiful and wintry and absolutely normal. Buildings all around them, Christmas decorations making the area cheerfully festive - today was a great day, and it was only going to get better.
A snowball jolted him out of his reflections, and he laughed, bending swiftly to scoop up a handful of snow. "No you did not," he said, and proceeded to return fire.

A snowball hit her right in the face. What had she said? No one hits her face. But the snowball had already crumbled and fallen down her shir--OH GOD IT WAS INSIDE HER COAT OH GOD OH GOD! Candace's face burned from the freezing cold snowball hitting her in the face and she gave the most girlish shriek a woman could give as she pulled and tugged at the front of her coat. Out! Out damn snow! Oh god! So cold!
So that was how it was going to be, huh? Candace gave Jerry a playful death glare as she reached into her pocket and made a show of dramatically putting on her gloves. In truth, despite where she had lived for four years? Candace didn't know jack s**t about snowball fights. She gathered up as much snow as she could pack up into what could...sort of be considered a ball and throwing it at Jerry as well. Doubleteam! That was what he got for throwing balls at all of them with no request for a teammate!

Heh. Heheheh. Heheheheh. Jordan had noticed Candace's snow-down-the-coat reaction.
A few moments later, she would find a handful of snow dropped on the back of her neck. Teaming up? What was that? When it came to snow, nobody was safe.

"Ahaahahah GET HER!" Jerry practically squealed with glee, scrambling to make a few more snowballs to tote with before chucking several in the two's direction. His aim wasn't as good as with his cannon, but they hit marks all the same. A nearby parked car, Robert again, and finally somewhere between Jordan and Candace.

Wait. Where did Jordan g-- "JORDAEEEEEEEEEEGETITOUTGETITOUT!" She cried, shaking out the back of her coat now. That b*****d! Candace spun around and threw herself at Jordan, pinning him down in a pile of snow. "Jerry! Come defend my honor~!" By putting snow in Jordan's shirt, of course.

A SNOWBALL HIT HIS MOTHER ******** HEAD. Robert wheeled around and watched the snow fly, both amused and enraged at the same time, and epicly confused as to why he could feel both feelings at once. He dropped to the ground, and started building a wall of protection in front of him. Once said wall was loosely constructed, behind it his hands worked quickly, forming ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after ball after - You get the point. Once he had a pyramid of ammunition, Robert leap to his knees and began rapid firing at all of the hunters around. "TAKE THIS YOU COMMIES!!!!!!"

Jordan was laughing too hard to do anything about having been tackled into a small snowdrift. Okay, it was cold, and Candace was getting REVENGE, which probably meant there was going to be snow in HIS shirt shortly, but it had been ages since he'd had a chance to just goof off with friends, no real worries, just having fun.
Several snowballs sailed overhead, rapid-fire. "GET 'EM," Jordan yelled at Robert, grinning.

"Just you wait he's gonna come over here and we'll see how you like snow in your shirt, Mister--s**t!" A snowball flew past her head, and she turned to see where they were coming from only to be hit not only in the face again but then again in the shoulder. And then again on her side. She squeaked and rolled off Jordan, scrambling to make another ball as fast as she could and chuck it at Robert. "CAPITALIST PIG!" She laughed, making another ball to throw.
Candace, what are you doing? I haven't seen snow since-- Candace cut off Atropos' shock with a laugh. I'm having FUN! Normal! Real! Carefree FUN! She giggled and threw a third snowball.
There were bystanders heading into the mall that occasionally stopped to watch as four full grown adults played in the snow like children. They gave them weird looks and muttered to each other about people needing to act their age, it was only snow. Candace paid them no mind herself. This was exactly what she told H she wanted for Christmas. Something normal.
