Rika yawned as she waited in her hiding spot for the cadets to cross her line of fire. She was tired, but her sleepiness was wearing off as the effects of her medication died down. She stretched her arms in what little space she had in the cockpit of her mobile suit and focused. She put her hand back around the mobile suit's controls and paused a moment before maneuvering her mobile suit to get a better angle on the cadets coming into view. Her comm beeped once before the instructor's voice came over the channel. "Roger Tiger, they won't know what hit them. You want me to go easy on them or should I go all out? They'll certainly be in for a surprise either way." Rika didn't need an answer, she already knew what she was going to do, and she wasn't about to hold back. As the first training GM made its way into her sights, she followed it with her weapon. She waited until the last GM was in the open and fired at the first one, hitting the head of the mobile suit dead on, she quickly fired at the other suits, at the range she was at, she missed only two shots, three of the mobile suits were down, the only two left belonged to Zoe and someone else. Rika moved out of sight quickly, as their GMs were loaded with the same stun rounds for the exercise. It was already extremely unfair, there was no need to make things impossible for the cadets.

Tania let out a soft sigh when she was dismissed for the day along with her other mechanic cadet trainees. Out of them all she was the only girl (or one of the only), at least in the year of cadets she was in. It was normal though, mechanics wasn't something girls usually went into, especially those that decided to be mechanics and have a military career. Well it didn't matter, what other girls did with their life was up to them. Feeling an itch on her cheek she rubbed it with her hand forgetting that she hadn't really cleaned up yet. One of the other cadets made sure to point that out. "Hey Tania, you've got oil on your face again..." She looked at him for a moment and just shrugged. "Eh, whatever it'll come off later.." She really wasn't the type of girl to worry about getting dirty, especially with the area she was in, getting dirty was something that happened quite often so there was no point in making a fuss about it. Before leaving the room she made sure everything was put away and in order so that the next day finding things would be easy. Frowning a little as she walked down the halls she was remembering hearing about a marching exercises the pilot cadets were going to go through today. She couldn't help but wish she was there doing some, after all the thing she had wanted was to try to be a pilot but something had kept her from getting into that. Wandering around the halls she was going to look to see if it was possible to observe their training, sometimes it was allowed, other times it wasn't. It all depended on what they were doing.

Zoe barely had time to role out of the way as the squad came under fire. She kept her head down and fire off a few rounds in the direction of the incoming fire. Her sensors were going off like crazy as her squad mates' mobile suits stopped broadcasting their signals. "Lt, we're under attack please advise!" she yelled out.
"Can you confirm the hostile cadet?" Lt. Kimi responded.
"That's a negative sir, we received fire from the one o'clock direction. It has since stopped but we have no visual confirmation of the enemy and most of the squad is not responding!" Is this a combat drill? I thought that we were just out on a march? she thought to herself. Before she had time to hear the Lt's orders her fellow cadet Zachery Johnson began moving towards the area where the fire came from. "What are you doing Zach!?" she exclaimed over the com.
"I'm going in" he replied.
"Wait what!? You don't even know how many there are! Get back here, we need to fall back to a defensive position!"
"You're not the boss of me Zoe! Now's my chance to show everyone what I can do!"

Over the command channel, Rika heard Zoe's reaction to what happened; she was one of the better cadets they had, her partner, Zach, however was not the brightest of the bunch, and decided to move in on her position. He should have listened to Zoe, as she had the right idea about not moving in and getting an idea for the opposition. Rika waited in her hiding spot for Zach to get a little closer, he was certainly in a rush to prove himself, all he'd prove is that he was good at getting himself killed and the squad endangered. Her medication wearing off, Rika felt the urge to prove a point to the jackass that thought he was hot stuff instead of just eliminating him like normal. As Zach approached her position, Rika quickly moved out of cover and fired three rounds straight into the mobile suit's chest, where the cockpit was. Because they were stun rounds, he would be fine, just a little shaken up, but she had clearly illustrated that he would have died in a combat scenario. Zoe had been the smart one and gotten out of her line of fire, so Rika couldn't have taken her out if she wanted to.
Moving back behind cover, Rika waited to see what was going to happen next. She spoke to Lt. Kimi over the command channel while she waited, "It's just Zoe left Tiger, should we end it here or go for full elimination?" Rika wrapped her hands around the controls to her mobile suit tightly, her trigger fingers getting more and more itchy as her medication's effects faded completely. She should have taken her medication, but the dulling of her senses were not a good thing in a combat scenario, even if it was training.

Tai simply watched as Johnson charged forward, he was without backup, and had no intel on the enemy. For a brief moment he considered shooting the cadet in the back but let it pass in favor of having Rika take him out. As she put three rounds into him he heard a soft "no" come from Zoe. "No we're done here." he said on both channels so that Rika and Zoe could hear him. "Listen up everyone, I know that you're all still green with mobile suits but you have two years of tactics training and a year in simulation under your belts. These mistakes are pathetic." he said over the com. "One mobile suit was able to kill 99% of the squad and it would have been 100% if I hadn't stopped the exercise. From now on all of you had better study harder and get serious or else you're just wasting my time." he continued while he started to deactivate the lock downs on the training mobile suits. "One last thing before we march back to base, I don't want to see anyone trying to be a hero. Heroics get you killed and getting killed means you let your squad and your home down. Think about that one overnight. Now move out!"

When the Lieutenant said the exercise was over Rika released the controls of her mobile suit and reached into her pilot suit front pocket to pull out a small black metal box, it was thin and only about as big as a cell phone. She opened the case and took out two of the pills inside, popping them in her mouth she chewed the pills up and swallowed them, feeling herself mellow out as the Lt. started giving the cadets a much needed talking to. Rika smiled as she started heading back to base. She laughed lightly when the speech was finished, she found the whole thing amusing, they had much more formal training than she did, but they were still far worse then she was when she first piloted a mobile suit. She activated her single person comm channel and connected to Zoe's mobile suit. "Good hustle out there Zoe, keeping a cool head when under pressure is exactly what you need to do. Of course, all the hustle and cool-headedness in the world won't help in some situations. Despite what the LT said, I think you would have put up a decent fight against me if he didn't decide to end the exercise. Just keep studying, and practicing, I'm certain you'll do well." Rika kept her comm channel open, in case Zoe wanted to respond, but she didn't say anything else, she just made her way back to the group and started heading back to base with the rest of the squad. She still had half a mind to smack Zachary on the back of the head when they got back; the Lt. told them before that being a hero achieves nothing, he apparently didn't listen.

Zeo listened to her two commanders speak but she remained silent. There just wasn't anything to say to she didn't. After arriving back at the hangar they were they were dismissed for the day. She watched as the others joked with each other and called Zack an idiot. However she just kept walking, today was exhausting and she was still supposed to meet Ethan for dinner later. Maybe taking a hot shower and a nap will make me feel better. she thought to herself as she headed back towards the women's dormitory.
After they arrived at the hangar Tai left his mobile suit in the hands of the hangar crew and started to tail Johnson. It took a while for the other cadets to dissipate but eventually he caught Johnson alone. Using his forearm Tai slammed Johnson up against a wall and stared into his eyes. "You got something to prove cowboy." Tai asked rhetorically."Well you don't now. You're dumb heroics will end up getting both you and your squad killed. You act that stupid again in a combat situation and I assure you that won't ever touch a mobile suit again!" After his lecture was finished Tai let Johnson go and waited to see if the cadet would try anything. When he didn't Tai said "Now get the hell out of my sight.". After Johnson had run off Tai almost punched the wall but he caught sight of Rika out of the corner of his eye. For the sake of appearances he kept himself from completely loosing it. The way the exercise went had left him unusually pissed and almost acting completely differently than normal.

Rika watched from a little ways away as the Lt. chewed Johnson out. She almost felt a little sorry for him, almost. She noticed that Tai seemed a little more annoyed than usual, which was odd for him. The abnormally tall, silver haired woman headed over to him and patted him on the shoulder, saying, "Cheer up LT, I think he gets the message. I doubt he'll do anything like that again. And I wouldn't be too hard on them, they had no warning, and I took most of them out in one go; they never really had a chance." She patted Tai on the shoulder once more before leaning up against the wall and smiling. She was still very mellowed out from her medication, which meant she really wasn't in much of a caring sort of mood. She stretched her arms above her head and cracked her neck. Rika knew that the LT only got angry with the cadets because he didn't want to see them get themselves killed in battle. "I can't say I didn't enjoy teaching them a thing or two about actual combat, but I kinda wish they'd have put up more of a fight. Oh well, I suppose that's what we can work on in the future." Rika put her arms down at her sides and yawned lightly. "So tired... I might go take a nap... after a nice bath. Those mobile suits can be a little cramped, ya know?" Rika was just making idle conversation now, since she thought the Lt. could use something else to concentrate on other than their cadets and their stupid mistakes.

She must have taken her meds recently. he told himself. Tai let Rika finish talking before he said anything. "I'm going to one of the casinos tonight... you want to come with me?" he asked.
When she arrived back at the women's dormitory she found her door to be locked meaning that her roommate wasn't back yet. She unzipped a pocket on her flight suit and pulled out a keycard which was then swiped through a scanner. A red light on the scanner changed to green after a beep was emitted and the the locks cycled open. Once inside Zoe locked the door before she began to unzip her flight suit. As the zipper reached the halfway point it revealed a black camisole which had her name and service number printed above the right breast. As she zipped it down further a pair of matching black panties followed. Zoe kicked off her boots before the flight suit was casually tossed onto her bed. She then walked into the tiny bathroom that was attached to the room. First she turned on the water for the shower and then turned to the sink as she allowed the water to warm up. With the cold water running from the sink faucet she splashed some of it onto her face. As steam started oi fill the room and fog the mirror she slipped off her camisole and left it on the bathroom counter. She then pulled off her socks before finally pulling down her underwear and stepping into the shower.

Rika smiled at Tai's offer and replied, "Casinos huh? Hmm I suppose I could stand to gamble away a few of my hard earned dollars at blackjack... Sure, I'll go with you." Rika shrugged once and stretched her arms out in front of her, locking her fingers together and cracking them loudly. "When are we going? Right after work or do I have time to change out of this pilot suit?" Rika figured that she would be able to head home for a bit before heading out, but if Tai was going to head there right away, she could hurry herself along; gambling might be fun by yourself, but drinking and gambling wasn't. So long as Tai meant an actual casino and not one of the clubs that offered gambling, a place like where her mother used to work, she didn't have a problem with going with him.

It seemed that the training ended earlier then what Tania thought. Turning back around she went towards her room. Since there was nothing interesting to see she might as well just get clean and do some studying. Maybe her roommate didnt have any plans and they could do something, she doubted that though. Usually her roommates free time was always used to spend with her boyfriend. Now that she thought about it, she thought she had heard her mention something about a dinner earlier. Eh, oh well, she'd find out soon enough. Coming to her room she would find it unlocked which meant the other girl was there. Once she was inside she didn't take long to realize where she was. She was in the shower. Scratching the back of her head it seemed Tania had no choice but to wait for her to get out before getting in the shower herself.

After hearing what amounted to yes, from Rika Tai started to walk away from her when she started talking again. "Yeah you have time, and you should put something nice on, like a dress if you've got one." he said over his shoulder before he gave a small wave. "Cya later." With that he left the building and then took one of the colony's transport cars to his apartment. The entire building was filled with military officers but it was a couple blocks from the base. Once he was at home, he ditched his flight suit and changed into pair of black slacks, with an untucked black short sleeve dress shirt. He then slipped on a shoulder holster for his sidearm and covered it with a black sport coat. Next he slipped on a black leather belt with a gold buckle and then a pair of dress shoes. Before heading out the door he grabbed a pair of black sunglasses. As he walked toward the street his dog tags jingled and bounced around on top of the dress shirt.
Zoe was in the shower for sometime but did little more than let the hot water run down her body. She hadn't gotten in the shower to clean herself and she honestly didn't feel like doing anything else. At some point she felt that it was time to get out and go take a nap. So with that she turned off the shower and then grabbed two towels. One she wrapped around her midsection, covering herself from mid thighs to upper chest, and the other around her hair. She then collected her underwear and stepped out into the main room where she was unaware of Tania's presence. Once she was actually out into the room Zoe noticed her roommate with a small sense of surprise and was glad that she had at least put on a towel. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know that you were back yet!" she started, "Did you need the shower? I hope I haven't kept you waiting for long; have I?"

Tania blinked when she heard the bathroom door open. Zoe had sure taken her time but she wasnt going to tell that to the girl. Before replying to Zoe she felt like she was forgetting something but she shrugged it off, if she forgot it was because it wasn't important. "Nah Its fine don't worry, I'm not in a rush." Just as she finished that sentence a knock came to their door. "I'll get it." There was no point in the other one getting the door, after all she only was in a towel. Opening it she would find herself facing one of the guys in her mechanic group. "Are you not ready?" Tania simply tilted her head at him. "ready? Ready for what?" He smirked at little. "We figured you would have forgotten. You're going to the casino with us remember? You lost that one bet." Her eyes opened wide for a bit. It was true. They had been playing cards once and making bets, usually she was pretty good and didn't lose, but the one time she did lose, they had made the bet of her going to the casino with them... in a dress... That was the worst part of the bet, the dress. "Riiight.... um.... give me half an hour..." Satisfied the male left. Not caring about Zoe at the moment she would just get in the shower and quickly get off all the oil and other impurities off her body. Rapping herself in her own towel she dashed into her room and got out the only dress she actually had in her closet, and that was only because her mother had insisted that she take one just in case. It was a fairly simple dress but it was still pretty. It was black sleeveless type, but it had straps on the shoulders, it went down to her mid thigh, maybe a little further. At the bottom it ruffled a little and became a dark blue tone. All that was left was to slip on her heels, which were also very simple and not very tall. HEr hair she hadn't even bothered with except for brushing it, it was fine the way it was naturally. Exiting her bedroom door she wondered if Zoe had left already or not.

Rika crossed her arms at Tai's suggestion that she wear a dress and pondered. "Me in a dress? Don't think so. I'd rather go in something more comfortable." After a few minutes of thought, she simply shrugged it off and figured she'd decide when she got back to her apartment. She headed down the hallway in the direction Tai went, though instead of going straight for the exit, she headed for her office. It was a double office she shared with the Lt. She mainly used it for paperwork and sleeping on late nights, as such, she kept a few things in there, but what she needed was her coat; just walking home in her pilot suit wasn't a good idea considering she lived more than just a few blocks from the base. Sh rounded the corner to the hallway where her office was when she got hit in the chest by something going very fast. Normally Rika wasn't easily thrown off balance, but she was caught off guard and this impact made her fall over onto the ground. <********... right in the tits... Son of a b***h..." Rika sat up and rubbed her chest with one hand where the impact occurred, it felt like she'd been headbutted by a charging bull.

Schedules had been switched on her, Combat training, and biology had started to conflict each other and Seren was not having an easy time concentrating on one or the other, she had already missed the most recent training session due to a Bio lab, and Seren was not sure whether she would be getting chewed out for it or have to run and run and run just as her boot camp instructors had forced her to do. school, Mech training, Studying there was time for little else between the three, four medic classes required for her field along with the now advanced training she knew she was not ready for. Rushing the hall way she was still clinging to her notes from the last class, going over her apologies she would have to stumble over to her instructor concerning her absence when she suddenly found her bio book shoved into her chest, knocking the wind from her body as she abruptly found herself stumbling back to the floor, papers flying every where "Oh no! my notes!" she gasped, the room spinning as she tried to grab for them without even noticing she had just ran into a higher ranking official.
