Arthas shook his head. "My legs hurt a little bit, and I'm a little exhausted from the crash, but otherwise, I'm fine. I just need rest." He told Jasmine. He was glad that she seemed happy to help him get used to planet earth. He wasn't sure anyone else would have come to his aid like this, and he was glad that she did. His people believed in a wise goddess, and she seemed to be smiling on Arthas by having him in Jasmine's care until he got better.

Jasmine nodded. It was understandable after being put through a crash like that. "I'm impressed Arthas, I don't think my kind could survive that." she told him. Maybe they could but she didn't technicially know for sure. Jasmine stood up and took the blood stained rag and first aid back to the kitchen. She suddenly remembered the delimma of her mother finding out. Jasmine decided she would have to hide him somewhere for now and then make up a story. She knew her mom would find out eventually and she really didn't like keeping such secrets from her mom. Jasmine came back in the room looking pre occupied in her own thoughts of worry and guilt. "Before we discuss more let me try to find a spot for you to stay. I can't have my mom knowing you're here." Jasmine smiled sadly "...luckily she's usually never around." Jasmine walked closer to Arthas to assist him up if he needed it. "I hope you wont mind staying in my room for now." Jasmine's voice got a little quieter as she thought of the prospect of a Alien living in her room.

Arthas gave her a nod as he got to his feet, although it hurt a little bit. "I can stay there, for now." He told her. Arthas was so grateful to Jasmine for opening her home to a stranger like him, and even offering her own room to him. "Thank you for your kindness once again." He said, accepting her assistance and letting her lead him to her room. Where he came from, letting someone into your room was a sign of trust. He would try not to be a burden to his new friend, who was so kind to him. He had remembered only one other person so kind to him when he first met them...his wife. Jasmine reminded him of her, other than the hair color. He felt a sense of confusion, but comfort at the same time when he saw her face.

Jasmine smiled. "You're too polite, I'm not used to it." she chuckled jokingly to lighten things up a bit. She walked ahead of him down the hall to her room and opened it up for him. She walked in hastily before him to tidy up some books that were streamed over the ground by her bed that she was looking through earlier. "I'm sorry, Arthas. Its not the best but I hope it will do." she said rubbing her arm a bit uncomfortably. "I-i don't know what kind of things your kind uses for sleeping on umm...but you can use this bed if it fits you." Jasmine looked over at her bed which was just a single bed nothing special. "I'll sleep in the living room." She laughed uncomfortably as she continued to organize her books.

Arthas looked over to her with a smile. "This room is fine. I kinda feel bad for making you sleep in the living room, though. I know I won't take long to recover, but I'll try not to be a burden." He told Jasmine. He walked over and laid down on the bed, proving that it fit him just right. He was so polite to Jasmine because he owed her his life. That, and she was kind enough to let him stay here for a while in his time of need. She was a good person, and he would repay her kindness somehow.

Jasmine stared up at him from where she was sitting and shook her head. "No don't feel bad..." she said softly and looked away. It was rude to stare she remembered but she was so overcome with interest by this alien so naturally it was hard not to. "Don't take this the wrong way or anything but I'm kinda happy you're here." She pushed some hair out of her eyes looked down at her feet bashfully. If you are telling the truth that is. Jasmine thought to herself. Jasmine looked at the cover of a book of her's that she had read numerous times. It was a book on the planets and stars. She found herself feeling the goosebumps she sometimes felt when she read or found something very extrodinary but Arthas was by far the most extrodinary, like a miracle that never came true until now. "I'll let you rest now." she said.

Arthas smiled and nodded, happy to get some rest. He was glad that she was happy to help him. He looked at the book she was holding, and could tell she was facinated by outer space and the stars. His arrival must have been a real surprise for the girl. He was the last member of his race, so he was glad to find someone who was interested in people like him from different planets. Most people here would either call him crazy or send him to the government for testing. Arthas shut his eyes and drifted to sleep. The man needed it after all he went through today.

Jasmine smiled silently and walked towards the door. Once she was out of the room she closed the door quietly and walked back to her living room. Jasmine plopped onto the couch and sighed to herself trying to relax a little more. She needed to clear her mind but it was a challenge. "Oh.." she remembered her telescope was still outside. Jasmine pulled herself up from the couch and walked outside into the night. the cool air was pleasant on her skin as she looked up thoughtfully towards the starry sky. Jasmine took alittle extra time to put it away so she could stay out longer under the stars and her thoughts always went back to Arthas. She could tell he was trying his best to get over his loss but as she thought more and more about it, what it would be like if she was in his situation. Jasmine believed that she wouldn't be able to bare it. She held the telescope close to her as she entered into the back door and the locked the door behind her. She went back to the couch and after a half an hour or so she was finally able to fall asleep.

As he slept, Arthas went through a series of flashbacks regarding the destruction of his home and way of life. He saw crowds of Locrix running in terror, the once beautiful cities of his home planet reduced to burning rubble around him. The sick, squid-like aliens that invaded were relentless, murdering everyone they saw. He was shoved into the escape shuttle by his beloved wife Talia, who he saw get brutally tortured by the invaders. The next morning, Arthas woke up in a cold sweat, his body healed, but his mind still scarred. He rose from the bed, eyes bloodshot and body tired from his nightmares.

Jasmine rolled over onto her side as she slept peacefully. She was stirred awake from the sound of the front door opening and then closing again. She knew it was her mom finally getting back from spending the night at her boyfriend's house. "Jasmine?...what are you doing out here hun?" She asked with confusion. Jasmine sat up slowly with a tired smile on her face. Her hair was a mess. "...I had a nightmare, so I came out here." She lied as she started to yawn. Jasmine's mom gave a sigh. "Alright." She said and walked back down the hallway. Jasmine blinked suddenly remembering everything that happened last night and rushed after her mother but her mom was simply going to the bathroom to brush her hair. Jasmine exhaled a sigh of relief and cautiously opened the door to her room and shut it behind her. She turned around expecting to see Arthas still sleeping but actually he was sitting up in bed. Jasmine quickly put a finger up to her lips. "My mom is leaving for work soon so hold on." Jasmine whispered.

Arthas nodded, putting his head back on the pillow. He needed to get his mind off of these nightmares. The Locrix felt fine, physically, but mentally, the crash, and his ordeal had wounded him. He wouldn't burden Jasmine with his grief, since she was nice enough to let him stay. After her mom left, he would ask Jasmine to show him around town, so he could get used to life on earth.

Jasmine waited patiently and then went back out to say goodbye to her mom. She did her best to act normal around her mom so she didn't become suspicious but her mom didn't pay much attention away so it worked out for Jasmine's benefit. She could imagine how fired up her mom would get though if she ever found out. After her mom left Jasmine waited a few minutes sitting on the couch nervously and then forced herself up to walk back to her room. Jasmine opened her door slowly and peeked inside and then walked in when she saw that he was still laying on her bed. "Did you sleep ok?" Jasmine asked.

Arthas would nod, but that would be a lie. "Had a bit of a nightmare." He told her. The Locrix survivor rose from the bed and got up on his feet. "So, maybe you could show me around town? I'd like to get used to this place as quick as possible." He asked politely. He was okay to walk around, but he was too tired to try any of the abilities the Locrix possessed. Telekinesis makes his brain hurt in the early morning, and don't get me started on his alternate form. That's gonna come later. Anyway, Arthas was eager to learn more about earth and its customs.

Jasmine hung her head in disappointment. "Thats a shame." She pushed some hair out of her eyes. Jasmine gazed up at Arthas. For the most part he looked human enough to fit in with the public. Jasmine smiled. "Definietly, I'll do my best to show you everything." she nodded happily. "...but lets try to avoid doing anything that might draw attention." she said rubbing her neck. She was beginning to like having Arthas as her own secret but she also worried for his well-being if someone were to discover him and haul him off to a lab.

Arthas smiled and nodded. "Alright. Lead the way." He said. Arthas was excited to learn about what would be his new home. Sure, his loss was devastating, but this would be a place for his fresh start. As long as he lived, his race would live on, and maybe one day, he would repopulate his race. That would take a long time, so Arthas would just focus on the right now, and live his new life.
