N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » Nathaniel chuckled at her response. He wondered what was going on inside her head at the moment. Perhaps she thought he was going to drop a rabid cat on her. That seemed like something he would do. He smirked at the thought and walked over to her. From behind his back he pulled out a simple, silver necklace with a crystal seashell hanging from it. He wasn’t going to lie to her and tell her that he had only bought it for her. He had actually stocked up on necklaces, shirts, and toys for all thee servants in the house. This one was the most beautiful, but it hadn’t specifically been picked for her. But what she didn’t know wouldn’t hurt.
He leaned closer to her and wrapped his arm around her neck, while putting the necklace on her. Once he locked it in place, he gave it a quick tug to make sure it was on properly. Before leaning back, he hovered close to her. Up this close, he could see the delicate details of her face. The way her long eyelashes cast shadows on her cheek when she had them closed, the way her bangs fell on her forehead and oddly enough the way she smelled of flowers. He bit his lip, thinking for a second, and then without any further hesitation, he lightly kissed her on the forehead. Nothing that meant much to him, just a fond gesture.
After standing back upright he grinned and said, ”Open your eyes.” He waited for her to open her eyes then asked, ”Do you like it?”

It was no wonder that the female servants of the castle liked him. If he was prone to shower them in expensive gifts, it was not so surprising why so many claimed that they loved them. She felt the cool silver press against her skin as a startling difference to the leader cord that kept the small sliver of orangey crystal attached to her neck. She felt the burn of his lips on her forehead and, for a moment, felt her heart flutter. You know he does this with the other girls, too. You’re just being silly.A blush crossed her cheeks and she looked downward. Resting right above her mother’s crystal was a considerably larger crystal shell. It was lovely and she chewed on her lower lip. “Its beautiful but… but you spend a lot to simply dote on the pretty girls of the palace.” Her pale brown eyes, almost shining a light gold looked upward towards him. “Thank you though.”

N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » He couldn’t help but smirk at the pink tint that spread across her cheeks. He grinned as she thanked him for it, but then realized that she thought that he bought every single pretty girl a gift. He chuckled. He could either let her continue thinking that he was a player, or reveal that he bought gifts for everyone, including the butlers. He decided to stay hushed about it. Nathaniel didn’t want to reveal that to her just yet. Perhaps it’d make her feel more special if she only thought he bought stuff for the pretty girls so instead he avoided the topic and said, ”It looks stunning on you. But one second.”
He stepped closer to her. He had seen that other necklace on her ever since he could remember. It must mean a lot to her, and he doubted she wanted that beautiful crystal covered by a gift he gave her. He leaned around her again and undid the necklace, just to hook it on the last loop. He tugged at the crystal shell and grinned. It now lay underneath the crystal she had been wearing beforehand. ”It might seem a bit cluttered. You can take it off if you wish.” He said softly.
He then turned back and quickly closed the suitcase that contained all the other gifts. He then opened up another suitcase and turned it towards her. ”Pick out an outfit for me, I really can’t choose.” He chuckled then pointed at a lime green shirt, ”Anything but that. A friend gave that to me, more of as a joke than anything.”

Andromeda wasn’t expecting him to redo it but was glad that he had. Eventually she would have gotten around to it, when she had managed to escape his room. That little piece of crystal was the only thing she had left of her mother. She studied the two together. They may have clashed style wise but she would likely wear both of them. “I’ll keep it on. Its rare whenever I get anything and I was told to never look a gifted horse in the mouth. Besides I will never get a chance to own anything so beautiful again.” She traced it with a delicate finger, calloused with the work she had done in the garden. “Pick out an outfit for you?” she asked in disbelief. “I… I am not sure how good at that I would be.” She only had a few different dresses and sashes to chose from and, even then, she just threw on whatever wasn’t dirty. She wrung her hands together and looked around at the clothes, smirking at the green shirt a moment. With its color it would make his red hair stand out even more. She stood from the bed to look at his clothing. “You have so much that is intimidating. I always preferred simple and comfortable clothing. Maybe that black button up and a pair of simple slacks? Though I doubt that would be princely enough. What would your mother think?”

N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » A large grin was plastered on his face when she said she wouldn't take it off. He chuckled. "I doubt mom's even here right now, so I doubt she cares." He pulled out the black shirt and the slacks she had been referring too. "Give me a sec." He walked over to the bathroom to change, hoping that his little fashion designer wouldn't leave by the time he returned.

It amazed her how very casual the Prince was. She was half expecting an uptight royal lech that preyed on the maids of the palace. Her assumptions had only been partially correct. Even if she would not fall for his charm Andromeda had a feeling that they could be very good friends. She was proper in her role but, secretly, she wished she could be as casual as him. He had intrigued her enough to make her stay where she was for the time being. If he tried anything too serious then she would leave, despite what he ordered or told her to do. She waited for him to come back, twirling a curl absentmindedly around a finger as she waited for him to return from his bathroom.

N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » Expecting the female to be gone, he came out of the bathroom still buttoning up his shirt. A wide grin spread across his face as he noticed her still sitting there. He finished buttoning up his shirt, leaving the top few buttons open like he always did. He walked over to her and as if he had been doing so for years, laid down with his head on her lap. He grinned up at her innocently and said, "I didn't instruct you to stay." He smirked and played with a loose string from her dress.
He tore off the string and wrapped it around his finger. He looked up at her and said, "You could've left, y'know."

She grimaced as he placed his head on her lap. He was too friendly and now she was sure that he was attempting to woo her into his bed. After he plucked the string off of her worn dress, she slipped over in attempts to get his head off of her lap. Andromeda wasn't a thing like the other servants. While generally sweet and submissive, she wasn't going to let herself be fooled by attempt like this. "You didn't tell me to leave either. A proper servant does not leave until they are properly dismissed." She retorted. Her voice was as sweet as honey as she spoke. It was true though. The older maids had instructed her in that way. "The black goes nicely with your hair, by the way. So would have the green but you begged me not to pick it."

N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » Nathaniel noticed her attempt to get him off her lap and let his head fall onto the bed as she moved over. He grabbed a pillow and instead of tucking it under his head, he hugged it to his chest, closing his eyes as he grinned. ”A proper servant..” He scoffed. ”Don’t be so proper then. I wouldn’t have minded if you had left without being dismissed. There was really no need for you to say.” He opened his eyes and looked up at her. ”Why thank you, but I think I prefer this black over the green.”
He closed his eyes again and asked quite suddenly. ”Can you sing, Dromeda?” He let out a soft sneeze and wrinkled his nose. He kept his eyes closed, looking quite peaceful and innocent, though that could easily be a mere act.

That was all she could ever aspire to be; a proper servant. Part of her wished she could leave that sort of life behind but the truth was she couldn't and working in the palace was the best anyone like her could hope for. It was a nice thing to say in jest but she wondered if he knew the implication of his words. So instead of getting wrapped up in it, she shrugged it off. His next question took her off guard anyway. Sing? Instantly she flushed. Sometimes she did, whenever she was alone and tending to the garden. Though, really, she wasn't that talented. "I do sing like a cat." she told him. "That has had its tail stepped on... multiple times."

N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » Nathaniel chuckled and opened one eye to look up at her. ”Oh come on. If you sing, I’ll sing with you.” He grinned at her. He usually didn’t sing for anyone, but for some reason he was not even hesitant to sing near her. He felt comfortable around her, even though her barely remembered her.
Being a prince he had had to pick up on multiple talents. He knew how to play the violin, piano, guitar, and trumpet. He also knew how to ballroom dance, tango and salsa. He was also forced to take art classes. He wasn’t all too bad at any of those, but he wasn’t amazing either. The one thing that he picked up on right away, besides horse-backing riding, was singing. Even though it was mandatory for him to have lessons, he quite enjoyed those lessons.

"Well... if you insist..." The young woman stood up. She had heard singing was better if the person was standing. Millie, Mimi's mother, could sing really pretty too. At least Andromeda thought so. She took in a deep breath and began to sing, loudly. "I am sorry I'm not strait forward. In my dreams I can often tell you. My thoughts are about to short circuit; I want to see you right now!" It wasn't good. Not by a long shot but she was putting all of her effort in to it.

N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » He closed his eyes again and heard her shuffling to get up. Once she was on her feet it didn't take long for her to start. She wasn't amazing, neither was she terrible. She was a tad bit off key, but he let it slide. Natheniel loved any type of voice, and with just a bit of work on her voice, she could sound splendid, or at least she could sound good. Nathaniel wondered if she’d let him teach her, he doubted it. She’d probably think it was his way to get her alone in a closed room, so he could flirt with her more. That wasn’t quite true. Of course, he wasn’t done hitting on her, but he was taking it slow. He feared that if he flirted too much, she’d run away screaming. At least, for the time being, he would just sing with her.
After she sang one line, he held up a hand to her. He wanted to sing right after her. He quite liked the tune, and wanted to learn the song. Opening his eyes, he looked up at the ceiling and sang, ”I am sorry I'm not strait forward. In my dreams I can often tell you. My thoughts are about to short circuit; I want to see you right now!” His voice was amazing. He had worked on it for years to get the velvety voice he had now. His voice was a bit deeper when he sang, and every word seemed to flow together. He gestured for her to continue, hoping she’d catch along with what he was doing. He wanted her to sing one line, and he’d sing it back.

His voice caused her to pause. He was certainly much better than she was and she was humbled for it. She placed her hands on her cheeks. It was no wonder that so many girls fell for him. He was attractive, had a silver tongue, and talented. If she had less wits about her, that might have been enough to seduce her. "I must sound terrible in comparison to what you're used to," she replied back instead of singing like he wanted. "Are you sure you want to continue this? I don't know much more of that song anyway." Shyly she put her arms behind her back and looked down at her shoes. They were her 'good' pair bur still looked like they would fall apart with a little more use. "But I would like to hear you sing some more."

N A T H A N I E L ♦ R E I D « The Charming Prince » He stopped staring at the ceiling as she replied instead of actually singing. He smirked to himself, what a disobedient little servant. He rolled to his side and looked at her with her hands on her cheek. Was a voice like that all that was needed to woo her? He chuckled at her comment about herself. [”You’re really not that bad. With more practice your voice could be angelic.” He grinned at her and sat up, crossing his legs on the bed.
”You really wanna hear me sing?” He asked, quite flattered. He patted the spot beside him, for to sit then asked, ”Any specific song?”
