"Herryk had never thought about having his friends help," the draugr mumbled thoughtfully. "This would help Herryk very much. It would also be a nice way to spend time with Herryk's friends." He would have to apply this suggestion. "Mitsu is a very smart ghoul," Herryk added, following Mitsu through the store.
"Hmm," Herryk tapped the dimple in his chin as he pondered over the werewolf's suggestion. She had a very good idea. Perhaps if he purchased five harnesses? He was having a hard time wrapping his brain around the mental image of how it would work. Lifting a hand, Herryk ran his fingers over a few pink harnesses.
"So, say Herryk buys five harnesses. And then he... he connects a pup to a pup to a pup? Is this what Mitsu means?" Herryk knelt down to inspect a few packages of long leashes with clips. "The babies very much love their walkies." He beamed up at Mitsu, "And Herryk would be very grateful to Mitsu if she would come by Herryk's dorm to help! Mitsu could bring her Shun, perhaps?" Herryk returned his attention to the long leashes he'd been fussing with.

"Five harnesses?" Mitsu wasn't entirely sure what Herryk had in mind but what she thought he described made her giggle. It would be one giant poof monster. "It..might be a little difficult for them to walk squished together but that might work. But the harnesses have loops you can hook something like a cable to the front pup and then feed the cable through the loops on the harnesses to connect the others. You could also get collars, then you wouldn't have to take them on and off like the harnesses and they might not be as pricey." Mitsu didn't have a lot of money to her name so she tried to be thrifty when she could.
It was rather cute how Herryk wanted to please his babies. Mitsu could tell they meant the world to him. "Yes, I would love to come over and see them all. I like to take Milo on walks too so it would give him time to play as well." Her little boafox would love the interaction plus the foxfires would no doubt be nicer to him than Ziggy was. "Oh, I will have to ask, Shun. I'm sure he would come." It would probably be a break from homework so the reaper probably wouldn't mind. Mitsu also secretly liked that Herryk called him her Shun. It was pleasing to the ear. Not that she was possessive or anything.
"M..maybe you could bring Freya." It was a difficult suggestion especially if Shun would be there. No doubt Mitsu would watch the Valkyrie like a hawk.
"Oh look, this might be useful." Mitsu side stepped a bit picking up a coupler and holding it up for the draugr to see. It seemed this store had a few choices between couplers that could attach multiple minis together. Holding the coupler by the metal loop Mitsu picked up one of the ends with a clip. "The clips attach to a collar or harness and once you have them attached you clip a leash to the loop." She pointed to what her hand was holding.

Herryk was liking this ghoul more and more. She was very inventive! Herryk was thanking his lucky stars that he'd stumbled upon her out in the courtyard where she'd been sitting. He peered over at the coupler she'd picked up, his expression brightening.
"This is a fine idea, Mitsu!" He sounded utterly giddy at the prospect of walking his poofs with ease. "So Herryk buys each poof a collar, a bunch of couplers, and hooks all the poofs together. Then he hooks a coupler to a leash!" Herryk grinned at Mitsu with a sharp nod of his head.
"Herryk would like to meet Shun. Herryk remembers him... from ah.. before -- and Herryk is sure that Freya would be very happy to see Mitsu and her Shun again!" It would be fun to get a bunch of friends together to do something sometime. Very fun. He needed to introduce his Freya to the friends he'd been busy making!

Mitsu's tail was wagging blur of happiness at the praise. The ideas seemed simple enough and Herryk would have a pack of satisfied and walked foxfires in no time. He seemed pleased with the prospect and that made Mitsu thrilled. "So should we pick out some of these then?" She pointed to the couplers. Mitsu wasn't sure the type of patterns or solid colors Herryk might want for the collars. There was a lot to choose from.
"Y..yes." Mitsu smiled though she was sure Herryk was once again referring to that time in the hub. At least this time she didn't give him a look. She did however pull on the coupler a little too hard, the metal ring bending surprisingly easy under the force. It was thicker metal but it was bending like it was made from hollow aluminum. "Yes, we should do the hanging out. Maybe we can even do some group training." The more practice Mitsu got the better. She needed to improve before something else spurred up that she couldn't do anything about.

Oh, Herryk just wanted to stare at the fluffy wagging tail for all time. It reminded him of his dearest little Jove and his beloved little babies. However, it would be rude to stare at Mitsu, and so Herryk just smiled broadly at the ghoul. It made him happy to see that she was happy!
"Mitsu can just grab whatever she thinks will work. Herryk does not care what they look like." He snagged a few couplers and waited patiently for Mitsu to choose a few more. As he waited, he thought about what she said in regards to group training.
"Does Mitsu mean.. spars?" He hummed softly and tapped his chin. "Such as Freya and Herryk against Mitsu and Shun?" He could see the appeal in such a thing. It would be for the best interest of them all, and yet it could be fun at the same time.
"Herryk likes this idea," he finished softly with a firm nod.

With a nod Mitsu got to work though being the thrifty buyer she didn't go for anything fancy. True they had collars of all kinds, some with spots and stripes, plaid and other patterns, leather and even fancy chain and spiked collars. But Mitsu was cheap when it came to things so she picked small collars that seemed about the right size for a foxfire in basic colors. He had fifty....that was a lot of collars. By the time she had grabbed enough the Pet Store's small collar selection was pretty much wiped out if anyone wanted something cheap.
"Oh, yes. Spars. Group spars. I was told about it. It seems like a good chance to get a better idea of a real battle situation." She was trying to think practically even if she still wasn't into the idea of fighting. Which just happened to be her main problem. She hated hurting her friends but it was in the name of improving and becoming better. "I..I figure that if....when.." She corrected. "We get stuck in battle you hardly ever get to face off one on one." No, Mitsu had seen first hand how the Hunters swarmed and often closed in on one target. Poor Mot had been overwhelmed and she had been unable to help him. "It would be a bit more practical to fight in groups?" The last bit was a question looking to Herryk to see what he thought on the matter. She was still rather new to this and it was possible she had the wrong idea and was making a bad approach. She had, after all, brought a book about dancing to dance lessons and Mot thought that was just silly.

"Mmm." Herryk looked thoughtful, tapping his chin. He could definetly see the pros to fighting in a group, though Herryk was not sure if his brain could take seeing another boil attacking Freya. It was interesting how, when the draugr put that sort of spin on things, a spar suddenly did not sound like such a good thing. However, that was Herryk's own apprehension, but deep down he knew Mitsu was right.
"Herryk firmly believes that it is going to be very important for everyone to grow much stronger should another battle ever happen again. The obstacles out there are far too immense for everyone to just think that everything is going to be okay." He cleared his throat.
"Herryk does not want to see his beloved ever hurt like she was on the field trip, Mitsu." His voice thickened with emotion. He cleared his throat again and focused on the minipet selection before them.
"Herryk has many collars already unless Mitsu thinks that Herryk needs to buy a special type," he mumbled almost-helpfully.

The conversation they had going was a little more serious now and there were no real smiles to be had. Mitsu stared thoughtfully at Herryk for a moment, his words hitting home deeply. She never wanted to see Shun hurt again like he had been either. Reaching out she patted the draugr on the arm lightly, a gesture of understanding between them.
"I feel the same." She said softly. "That's why I want to get stronger. I want to protect those I care about." Or die trying.
She stood in silence for a moment longer letting the conversation sink in a bit more before Herryk finally spoke up again. Mitsu had thought he needed collars...if he didn't need collars then the items in her hands were pointless. They really only needed a couple of leashes and couplers. Since Herryk had couplers that meant he might only need a couple of leashes.
"If you want to pick out a couple of leashes if you need them then I suppose we don't need these." And when the draugr looked away Mitsu did the one thing she hated doing....she made a mess by throwing the collars in her hands in the middle of a display. There were too many to mess with. Sorry pet store people QwQ.

"No, Herryk does not need collars. Herryk has plenty as it is, but if there is a need for more, Herryk does not mind walking here to pick more up. Did Mitsu know that they allow pets in this shop? Herryk came in here once with half of his babies, but they said Herryk should only bring one next time." He shrugged. "Since then, Herryk only brings sweet Nanna with him. Nanna is the best behaved out of all of Herryk's babies."
Herryk snatched up a handful of couplers and a few more leashes. "Herryk is sure to buy a collar for each new baby he gets. Sometimes the shop allows Herryk to take one or two for free since Herryk is always here." He grinned bashfully at Mitsu, the smile slipping slightly when he thought back on her first comment, about protecting those that she cared about.
"Herryk is not fond of sparring with ghouls, but if Mitsu ever wished to spar with Herryk, Herryk would do this. A friendly spar, nothing too harsh or harmful. Herryk does not want to hurt Mitsu." It was almost cute how he thought that the ghoul was incapable of fending for herself, or even capable of causing him bodily harm.

Mitsu nodded, it seemed they had what they needed then. "This should be a good start then. It should work out and then you'll be able to walk them all without too much difficulty." It was also nice to know the pet store had helped Herryk out. With so many babies Mitsu was certain it was a chore to keep up with them all. She only really looked after Milo, Ziggy, and the creepy rapalicious in the closet that had yet to have a name other than Creeper.
Waiting while Herryk picked out the last of what he needed Mitsu figured that would be it for the day grabbing a small bag of treats for Milo and Ziggy while she was here and heading to the register.
While they were checking out the topic of sparring returned. Mitsu was a little confused about Herryk's dislike of fighting ghouls but perhaps there was a personal reason? She had no idea it was because he thought he would hurt her. "Hel says to always do your best no matter what because otherwise you can't improve if you're holding back." Or at least she said something like that.
Mitsu knew the Valkyrie meant well but she often pushed a little too hard in battles. It was the first time Mitsu had actually ever been angry and she didn't like it. "But there is nothing wrong with a light spar. I will be sure to take it easy. I wouldn't want to hurt you." And she was worried about hurting him? It was probably a laughable idea considering her size but Mitsu had a quirky ability she was still learning to harness and control. She had already injured both Shun and Hel at this point without really meaning to.
