"Give her a break. She was nearly killed."
"Tch, she's fine."
Aurelius shouldered past the shorter male and knelt beside the even smaller girl upon the ground. He offered a hand, which she hesitantly took, and tugged her gently to her feet. "Are you okay, my dear?"
"Yeah, I guess so... This is what happens when you start fighting each other instead of what you're really up against," she added with a frown.
"...you are right. My apologies." He glanced around them and then sighed quietly. "It appears to be safe for now, at least... Where shall we head now?"
"What is that smell?" Virziel interrupted.
"What smell?"
"It... it reeks! It smells like rotten flesh or something!"
"What are you talking about?" Aurelius snapped irritably.
DD glanced around, then tensed and stepped closer to her forced protectors. "Ah... looks like the next boss is here. Get it!" She pointed a hand over the angel's shoulder, who turned to find himself face to face with something that's face was oddly... round and yellow. And angry.
"What in the name of-?"
Virziel rushed past them, and his fist collided with, and went through, the chest of the zombie. "...gross."

---- "So, robots first... now zombies. I would've guessed robots would be harder to defeat, but I guess you two did tear through them pretty fast... and zombies have to be beheaded or something. Maybe. I don't know. Either way, heads up." DD's ramblings cut short as she looked off in the distance.
Shambling through the gloom of the night, and moving through the street unmindful of the bot's remains, was another army.
"What is this? I'm gonna be sick..." Virziel groaned, covering his mouth and nose.
"Suck it up and help out," Aurelius snapped.
"What? In case you didn't notice, it's my arm that's covered in pieces of skin and blood!"
Aurelius snatched DD up this time before she could protest and rose into the air, leaving Virziel to dispatch another zombie that had ambled a little faster than the rest. This one promptly had its head ripped from its shoulders and tossed to the side.

"No! You're supposed to be fighting them, not each other!"
"He started it!"
"Can you be any more childish? Come, my dear, we should leave him to idle in his own stupidity."
"What did you say?!"
"UGH."

---- "Will you two shut up?!" DD cried, but their arguing drowned it out. So she lowered her head, grunting to herself in frustration. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her iPod once more. Thankfully, falling on it hadn't injured anything. She flipped it sideways and began to type into the app once more.
"The girl holds out her hand, and a large, powerful bomb appears in it. The bomb is strong enough to get rid of the zombies, but it won't cause damage to the surrounding houses or cars or anything else important."
She reached out, and in her hand appeared a small, round device. She looked down, drew back her hand, and threw it.
At that moment, Virziel reached out and punched at Aurelius, who swerved to duck out of the way. The result sent the bomb flying way off target. It landed in a bush, sending fragments of wood and leaves flying. The zombies remained intact.
"Damn it!"

"My apologies..." he sighed, as he looked around them. "There aren't many options."
"Seriously, a roof is fine. Just pick one that is flatter than my house. And hurry up!"
"See? Nothing wrong with a roof," Virziel butted in.
"Silence." Aurelius slowly began to drift toward a nearby house, while glancing down at the army that seemed to have multiplied beneath them to an enormous number. "...what a pain."

Aurelius smirked as he gently set DD down upon a nearby roof and then turned to face the large crowd spilling over the streets around them. Dumbly, the zombies bumped into each other, toppling over as their angry faces only grew more enraged.
"So... any advice?"

"Stop bossing me around," Virziel snapped, even as he turned and flew from the roof. DD laughed and Aurelius rolled his eyes before following after him.
The two descended into the crowd, laying waste to all those before them once more. They aimed specifically for their heads, Virziel tearing through with claws, and Aurelius slicing with the holy blade. It sizzled lightly as it ran through the zombies, leaving their dead corpses to fall to the ground in a proper display of lifelessness.
DD sat on the roof with her eyes covered to avoid seeing the gruesome display.

---- Aurelius whirled around, tearing through numbers in seconds. They fell before him like dominoes, the sharp sword sawing through flesh like butter. The cries of the zombies filled the air, prompting DD to cover her ears and clamp her eyes shut without other assistance. They kept drifting open involuntarily, driven by curiosity, but each time she was simply filled with regret... as well as a churning of her stomach.
"This is disgusting..."

---- "I mean, why did it have to be zombies? Zombies, of all things?" DD continued to mumble to herself. "So gross. It's just so terrible." The scent of blood filled the air around her, as the red liquid stained the road and grass of the neighborhood where they lingered. "We really need to get out of here as soon as this is over..."
Below, Virziel had returned to his almost animalistic self, ripping not only heads from the bodies, but limbs as well. An arm somehow found its way to the roof, landing with a sick thud beside the hiding girl. She squeaked and quickly scrambled away from it.

---- "What where you're throwing those body parts!" she shrilled.
Nobody answered her at first. Her ears were just filled with the sounds of the carnage below her. Then, suddenly, a bellow echoed out almost deafening. "I got blood in my mouth!" Virziel came streaming back up into the air, to land with a thud beside DD on the roof. His face was strewn with blood, as well as his entire person almost. His method of fighting was too violent for careful blood avoiding.
"Oh, really?"
"Why are you so calm?! You said if I swallowed any, I'd become one of them!"
"I said maybe."
"Just do something!"

---- "Just calm down already," DD grumbled, as she pulled out the iPod once again. She began typing into it with her head bowed forward, as Virziel rocked anxiously by her side.
"Beside the girl on the roof appears a large bottle of anti-zombie potion. One sip cures anything resembling zombie symptoms from happening, no matter what, forever."
She held it up toward Virziel to see, and then hit submit. A second later, the bottle appeared as instructed, in the form of an unlabeled two liter. She picked it up and carefully held it out toward the demon. "Why do you need so much?" he asked as he accepted it and unscrewed the lid.
"In case it happens again, or our other friend down there also has trouble."
"Tch. Do we have to help him?"
"Yes."
Virziel scowled, but lifted the bottle and took in a gulp. He sputtered and gagged just after, eyes watering. "What is this?!"
"Oh... I probably could have included that it should taste good. I'm sorry."
