I think its not morally wrong but realistically, how good is that relationship going to be?
A guy whose 45 is going to have a hard time relating to a girl whose 18, other than, I really don't want to sleep alone and I represent security (And possible weird father figure).

desuforeverlulz The only way it isn't weird is if it conforms to the dating age formula. Let's express it algebraically. The older person's age = x and the younger person's age = y.
(x/2)+7≤y
So let's say a 36 year old man wanted to date a 27 year old woman. Let's find out if it is weird or not.
(36/2)+7≤27 18+7≤27 25≤27
The statement is true, and therefore it is not weird.
Let's change the facts. Let's say a 40 year old woman wanted to date a 24 year old man.
(40/2)+7≤24 20+7≤24 27≤24
The statement is false, and therefore it is weird.
I love your formula. It's the same as the formula for age marriages in the older generations. ( Found out from ap lit lol )

Er...your formula may be a little off.... Try 16 and 14... "People might look at you a bit funny, but it's okay..."
Okay, so according to the formula, a 16 and 14 year old can't date. 16/2=8+7=15. But really, at that age, it is a little weird for a 16 year old to date a 14 year old. It's really kind of strange for 14 year olds to be dating in the first place, let alone someone two years old than them.

It would be weird if an eighty year old guy dated a 21 year old. That seems weird for me. As long as it's not something similar to that or anyone dating someone underage (21 dating 16) then it's not weird.
If I am an 80 year old man and I like a sixteen year old, I'm not going to date them and make out you know. Not that someone that young would date someone that old. Also, I don't believe a step- something and a step mother/father marrying their step children is incest since they are not the same bloodline.
Same thing with adopted children marrying their siblings whom were not adopted.

"Artists are allowed to be a bit different." - Bob Ross IDK it seems perfectly reasonable to date when you're in middle school from my standpoint. As long as you're not getting knocked up, I don't see much of a problem.

Well, I don't see what the point of dating in middle school is. They're practically kids. What the heck do they do together? lol But back on topic, I think it depends a lot on where people are in their life. Also, just cause your young doesn't make you immature and vice versa so...age difference could still work out, maybe.

It's not that good of an idea. The biggest reservation I have against it is that kids get an immature idea about dating if they date when they're younger. Drama in grade school will parallel drama in real life.

My personal opinion on any subject pertaining to people and their sexuality is that if they are above the age of 18 (or whatever legal age for your country/state is) and have consented to being in the relationship it's okay. It isn't the job of me, or anybody else, to tell consenting adults what they can and cannot do in the bed room with each other.
So, if a 23 year old girl wants to marry a 56 year old man that's fine as long as they're both okay with it. If a 45 year old man wants to marry a 76 year old woman that's okay too as long as both people are consenting to the act.
I'm not into it, but it's not my place to dictate to others on how they should behave sexually or on what kinds of relationships they're aloud to have with other consenting adults.

i am against play dating as a whole, as dating tends to lead to serious situations. at 14 years old, it is difficult to take anything seriously. serious situations arise with no intent (or reasoning ability) to handle them properly. why do you think there are so many 16 years old with kids? because they are stupid and immature. this is a touch off topic. on topic, my 30 year old friend just married a dude in his early fifties. nice guy. you wouldn't be able to tell he was fifty. looks forty at worst. but they are happy. and that is cool. still, it seems a bit weird.

The best thing to do would be to drill safe dating and sex practices into their brains until it's like breathing, walking, or speaking. Sad thing is, that's probably not going to happen either. Kids are stupid, they are going to ********. and there really isn't anything we can do about it that I know of.

That's so cute! You just made my day! But let's say a twenty year old is dating a thirty year old. It doesn't work. They continue dating or get married or whatever, and six years later, their ages are twenty-six and thirty six, which works. So what then? Is it okay for them to date if it is for a long time like that?

I agree with you fully, if kids weren't as stupid as ********, we wouldn't be dealing with these problems. I was stupid when i was that age, but not that stupid. i kept my nose clean and my priorities straight. got picked on a lot, but those people were up to their eyes in s**t, had kids, had no money, and mostly no jobs when they were 18. who's laughing now?
