Herryk nodded in agreement to her request. No, he wouldn't tell Mac that Lizzy had cried. He could see how that might be embarrassing, something that she wouldn't want this boil to know. "Herryk promises not to say anything about the tears," he swore.
He shook his head and grinned at the compliment she paid him. Treat a ghoul right? "Herryk just treats Freya the way she deserves to be treated. Herryk wrote Freya a poem, Herryk is learning how to cook and Herryk almost knows how to sew -- he made Freya a scarf. Amrita tried her best to teach Herryk but... Herryk has big hands, better for punching. Calder is helping Herryk learn how to cook, and Tset taught Herryk more about flowers." He beamed proudly.
"Herryk needs to think of a good present to give to Freya on this date. He was thinking of .. his pin." He thought back to when Mot and Hel had exchanged pins. At the moment it hadn't meant much to the draugr, but after an explanation from Freya... this date seemed like the perfect time.

"Good," She patted the back of his hand gratefully; she wasn't embarrassed that she cried. She was afraid that Mac would feel bad to know that he was still making her cry even though they weren't together anymore, as silly as it was, seeing how he had totally cast her aside.
"Awww, a poem? That's so romantic!" She giggled, rubbing her hands together in delight; how long had it been since she had heard someone say they wrote a poem for their ghoul? She actually recognized the names that he spoke of, looking thoughtful when he mentioned something about sewing, "Well, knitting is always an option! I'm sure you'll be able to hold onto a pair of knitting needles just fine!" Well, big knitting needles.
"I think that is a lovely present," Her expression softened, "Better than any chocolate or flower or jewelry... Giving someone your pin means you trust them, and want to be there for them." She had given Mac her pin... Was that silly of her? She quickly took her cup and took another long sip of not-so-hot chocolate to get her mind off that particular thought.

Herryk nodded happily. "Yes, a poem. Herryk gave it to Freya and then after Freya read it, she told Herryk that she loved him." It was obvious that by bringing up the topic of Freya, Lizzy was probably doomed to listen to the burly draugr talk about the virtues of his ghoulfriend until she begged him to stop.
Knitting did sound like a valid option, and Herryk would have to look into this. At the moment there were more pressing matters on his mind.
"Does Lizzy really think that Freya will like the pin? At Freya's sister's wedding, Mot gave Hel his pin and -- does Lizzy know Mot and Hel? -- and Freya said it was very romantic. Herryk would have given Freya his pin then, but... Herryk thought that he should wait. Herryk did not want to steal Mot's special moment." His broad shoulders lifted in a shrug as he reached for his mug and downed the last of the now-tepid drink.

"Awww," She couldn't help the silly smile on her face, or the way she was giggling; she didn't mind listening to the gushing... In fact, she could probably listen to it the whole day long, seeing how much of a hopeless romantic she was.
At the question, she wagged a finger at him before smiling, "Of course! Didn't Herryk said earlier that Herryk wouldn't doubt Lizzy? Besides, Herryk said that even Freya agreed that it was romantic!" What was he even doing to her speech pattern? "And yes! Mot is a really special friend of mine... He recently told me that he and Hel got together! I'm so happy for them!"

Herryk smiled sheepishly when she reminded him of what he'd said. "Yes, yes. Lizzy is right. Herryk will not doubt Lizzy." How could he doubt her? She obviously didn't mind hearing him go on and on and on about Freya, which was a plus in his books.
His eyes widened in surprise when Lizzy spoke of Mot and Hel.
"They are dating now?! Herryk did not hear. Mot and Hel." He smiled. "Herryk wonders if Freya knows." He snapped his fingers suddenly.
"Lizzy should meet Freya!"

"Well, I only got to know a while ago, and Mot's not the type to go around announcing it to the world, although it was obvious that he was really happy about it," She giggled, although the giggled stopped abruptly as her eyes widened, "Lizzy should meet Freya?!"
Seriously, stop messing with her speech pattern.
"Ohhh, I should..." She looked thoughtful as she took another sip of her drink, making a face when she realized that the hot chocolate was now at room temperature, "I would love to meet this ghoul Herryk speaks so fondly of~!"

"Herryk will introduce Lizzy and Freya! Does Lizzy have a groanspring? Freya is on there." He looked thoughtful. "The interwebs is a good place to meet new friends. Herryk will have Freya add Lizzy if Lizzy has a groanspring." Herryk beamed at Lizzy.
"Herryk knows many boils and ghouls that are on groanspring, so if Lizzy does not have one, she should get one." He nodded sagely.
"Freya is a reaper so she lives in the reaper dorms. Just like Hel!"

"I do! I don't use it often nowadays, but I do check it once in a while!" She nodded, clearly excited as she took out her phone, scrolling till she found her groanspring app, "What is Freya's groanspring? I'll add her right now! And Herryk too! Give me Herryk's groanspring please?"
She paused, however, at the boil's words, as something suddenly clicked in her mind; wait... Wait... Reaper... Freya's sister wedding... Hel being there...
"Freya and Hel are sisters?" Her eyes widened as she stared at her new friend, "I... I didn't know that! I mean, I should have realized it, but... Oh..." After all, both of them were valkyries and if she stared at them both hard enough, she could almost see a slight resemblance.

Herryk burst into laughter.
"Yes, Hel and Freya are sisters. Freya is older, Hel is the baby." His eyes twinkled with amusement. Herryk thought about the other sisters, shuddering as the horror of many groping hands drifted through his mind. "Freya has a twin sister named Fulla, and there are many other sisters. Nine, Herryk thinks."
He leaned close to peer down at Lizzy's phone, "Freya's groanspring is 'GiveMeYourMeat' -- Freya likes jerky -- and Herryk's groanspring is 'deathblack'. Herryk is friends with Junko and Mort and many others. It is a good way to keep in touch with friends!"

"Ohhh, right! Hel did tell me before that she came from a large family with many sisters! I never knew that one of them enrolled in the school though!" She smiled, typing away at the screen of her eyephone, "Let's see... Ah, here we go!" Another few clicks and she soon held it up so that the boil could see the screen, a grin on her face as she pointed at something on her screen.
"This is my account - LizzySpider - and I'm now following both Freya and Herryk!" She seemed oddly proud of the fact, "Oh oh oh! Wait!" She quickly went to his page and promptly typed in something.Quote: Hi Herryk! <3 It's Lizzy! She then proceeded to giggle as she hit the sent button, holding it up so he could see what she had done.

Herryk's eyephone chimed and the draugr fished it out of a small pouch he'd started carrying it in. The pouch hung from his belt so he had to fish around for it. "Ah hah!" Holding up the successfully retrieved phone like a prize, Herryk fumbled with the buttons and the screen for a moment before making his way to his groanspring. He promptly followed Lizzy first, and then spent a few minutes painstakingly typing on the screen. "If Herryk tries to type too fast his fingers press all the wrong buttons," he explained before making one last tap on his phone's screen. Quote: HELLO LIZZY WELCOME 2 HERRYKS GROANSPOINFG Herryk beamed at the pink-haired ghoul. He was very proud of his ever-expanding knowledge of the interwebs!

"Yay Herryk!" She threw her arms into the arm and cheered for the boil when a new message appeared on her page, almost letting go of her poor phone in the process. Beaming, she eagerly checked it, giggling softly and immediately hitting the smile button, like it was the best thing she had seen today since the hot chocolate, "Now we can stay connected! I'll say hi to Freya too, sometime!"
Herryk was so sweet that Lizzy felt that it was important to make a good impression on Freya so that she would like her, seeing how she was such an important person to the boil.

Herryk grinned broadly. It was nice to see Lizzy with a smile on her face, and while the draugr had just met her, Herryk would always keep an eye out for her. She'd gained herself a big brother, in a sense. Reaching forward and emptying his mug of hot (now lukewarm) chocolate, Herryk nudged Lizzy gently.
"Herryk is glad to have made Lizzy as a friend. If Lizzy ever needs anything, she can come to Herryk. Okay?"
It was important to Herryk that Lizzy know that. While the hour was growing late and they both should be heading back to their dorms soon, Herryk wanted to make sure Lizzy agreed before he said his good-nights.

"Okay," She agreed happily before giving the boil a quick hug; it was like hugging a brick wall, really, but she still felt all warm and happy inside, "We should go back now?" She had started to notice how late it was getting as well, and she felt about ready to sleep now that she had gotten the chance to cry and laugh and drink her hot chocolate.
"I am glad I met you too," She smiled up at him, "Thank you, Herryk."

Herryk grinned and returned the hug that Lizzy offered, careful not to squish her too hard.
"Yes. Herryk will walk Lizzy back to her dorm to make sure she gets there safely and then Herryk will head back to his own room." He smiled gently at the smaller ghoul. A soft expression slipped across his rugged features when she smiled at him.
"It is nothing," he said quietly, rising to his feet.
