Robert winced as Jude stumbled on his charge attack, and settled the batleth on his shoulder. "Kind of like that, you mean." He bit his lip, trying not to laugh.

He moved to recollect himself from his fumble, "Yeah, exactly like that," he replied with a small grunt. After a few moments of picking up his pride he shifted about and suddenly jabbed the hourglass at Robert's unprotected side with a bit more force behind it.

Robert's laughter was cut short when Jude's weapon slammed into his side, sending him packing several steps as he stumbled to regain his footing. "OW!" Robert yelped in surprise, holding his side with one hand. "I am seriously getting new respect for weird weapons, 'cause goddamn!" That would have taken a chunk out of him if it weren't for the Fear shield! His respect for Jude, and his hourglass, was growing quick.
Robert sucked in a breath, and his body bent in a strange, dance-like pose. His body lifted up on it's toes suddenly, and spun several times, before one spin brought the batleth down on Jude with the combined force of Robert's strength plus the inertia of the spin.

Jude's let out a small startled sound under the heavier impact and withstood it. Afterwards he lashed out again at Robert aiming the hourglass more toward the other Hunter's chest with a lot more force behind it as well, "Well, respect is always good," Jude responded after he hit.
"I'm probably using her all wrong but what else am I to do, right?" He waited for the return hit with a defensive stance.

"It's a learning experience." Robert answered - just before the hourglass slammed directly into his stomach, the force of which sent him flying back off his feet, landing several feet away right on his a**. He bounced, just once, and then flattened onto the floor.
"Holy s**t.." Robert breathed out, coughing twice before sitting up. "Jude, do me a favor. Next time we're in a fight.. you stick by me. All right?"
He pushed himself back up to his feet, groaning loudly, and rubbing the ache in his stomach. When he charged the man, his batleth came down swinging hard, but not as hard as it could - he really was still feeling the hit from that last attack.

"So much learning and yet the higher ups think we should know everything right off the bat it seems," He replied thoughtfully watching as Robert landed a bit further away. "You got yourself a deal," he replied with a bit of a headtilt.
Had he really hit that hard? Hell yes he did.
Jude felt the impact and stumbled a little afterwards. It was obvious the young man was starting to really feel the hits as they were served, "You got some fancy moves," he observed before he suddenly tilted the hourglass upwards to hit Robert in the jaw.

Robert's head snapped up when the hourglass hit, feeling his teeth slam into each other. He rubbed his jaw when he tilted it back down, glaring Jude down a bit before the calm returned.
"You know, I don't think they really expect all that out of us. I just think they want us to think they do."
The mention of Robert's fancy moves had him hesitating in discomfort. He didn't want to be known as that guy, no matter how much it accidentally happened.

He noted the glare and could only shrug for a moment it was all fair game except below the belt hits. At least Jude didn't see fit to make it a groin shot instead.
"I guess that might be it. Just feels like a lot of pressure on our shoulders," he replied.
Jude noted the discomfort and felt curiosity well up only to quash it with another swing this time with his fist toward Robert's gut. It was the manly way of saying 'dude, no homo. It's alright.'

No homo, indeed. Robert bent in when the attack connected, but he felt he was on his last legs. Out of pure instinct, his batleth swung around even as he was taking Jude's hit, and he swung it around the man's entire body, catching it once it returned around and slamming it right into Jude's gut.

Jude let out a heavy sounding grunt when the hit came home into his gut. His vision blurred for a brief moment before it returned again and then with just as much gut instinct he lifted the hourglass and moved to smack it right into the side of Robert's face, "And that... is how you use the hourglass," Jude panted raggedly as he swung. ]

As expected, Jude finished him off with a slam to the face. That was how he'd expected a weapon like an hourglass to be used, and so it was - knocking him clear off his feet, slamming down into the ground.
Even with his eyes closed, he heard Jude's words, and he laughed. "BAHAHAHAHA!"
He winced as he felt a trickle of blood drip from his ear, and held his head in his hands with a groan. "All right, bro, you whooped me something awful." With an hourglass, no less.
You embarrass me.
Robert ignored Jezebel's hiss and sat back up, head spinning as he tried to get his bearing back. He held his hand out to Jude for a shake, while the other remained on his head, holding it. "Good fight."

Jude smirked a bit as Robert laughed at least it was laughter and not indignation at having lost to him. The young man moved forward with a bit of a shambling gait to his step as he accepted Robert's hand giving it a firm shake, "Back at ya," Jude drawled a bit as he then lightly tugged at Robert to help him up after the handshake.
"Dunno about you but I need a shower and a good nap after that," He let out a deep tired sigh. Being tired after hard work is always a good feeling.

"Uuuugh." Robert took the hand and pulled himself up to his feet, stumbling back one step before picking up the coin on the floor. Jezebel had desummoned as soon as his Fear shield had dissipated, and she lay on the floor, a glimmering coin waiting to be put away.
So he put her away.
"A shower sounds AMAZING. Here's hoping I don't fall asleep IN the shower, right?" He patted Jude on the back and led him to the doors.
"If you don't hear from me next time we have a mission, you'll know what happened." The raucous laughter echoed as they went inside.

Jude helped Robert to his feet and once it seemed like the other male wouldn't just crumple down he lightly released Robert's hand and then desummoned his hourglass into the form of a simple ring that seemed to be made of many bands of gold tangled into each other. He slipped the ring onto his index finger.
He felt the pat on his shoulder and gave a small laugh of his own as he exited with Robert, "I'll be gentler next time," he promised though in all likelihood he wouldn't be. Jude didn't pull punches with anyone.
